CEREC Chairside CAD CAM (Computerized Assisted Design) Dentistry is revolutionizing how we practice. What is Cad Cam Dentistry? It essentially allows us to do Crowns, inlays and onlays in our office, without a dental laboratory in about an hour. No uncomfortable impressions and no temporary crowns! We are proud to be one of only a select few in the region who utilize this technology. Our patients benefit from Dr. Kopeskys extensive training and skills in using CEREC. He has been utilizing this technology for nearly ten years and has even served as a CEREC trainer for other doctors.

Galileos 3D imaging (CBCT) Hamlin Dental Centeris one of the few office in our entire NEPA region to utilize state-of-the-art cone beam computerized tomography. Cone beam computerized tomography, or CBCT, is a digital, three-dimensional x-ray that allows Dr.Kopesky to look at all surfaces of your temporomandibular joint (TMJ). CBCT is a critical step in the assessment of a patients oral health, particularly in regard to the diagnosis of TMJ disorder.

All patients benefit from CBCT. With this advanced technology, Dr. Kopesky can identify hidden problems and underlying causes for dental health issues. Regular dentalradiographs allow Dr.Kopesky to identify changes in the occlusion, bone or other support structures and look for signs of oral cancer.

We willtake pictures of your smile during your exam and following treatment to document your amazing transformation. These images are valuable educational and treatment planning tools. Not only do they show the before and after condition but they are essential in assisting us in making a diagnosis. You will have the ability to see what we see as we take you on a virtual tour of your mouth. We are able to compare photos year to year to look for early signs of degradation and breakdown. As a result, our patients benefit from enhanced diagnostic capabilities and early detection. This allows us to be proactive in prevention. Dr. Kopesky has deep roots in Northeast Pennsylvania. Vacationing here as a young child, he and his family eventually moved to Lakeville where he graduated from the Wallenpaupack Area High School. Following high school, he attended the University of Scranton and earned a B.S. Degree in Biology. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Kopesky invested two additional years at the University of Scranton as a graduate teaching assistant working with undergraduate students in plant physiology, estuarine ecology and embryology.

Dr. Kopesky elected to attend the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine for post graduate studies. He graduated in the top 25% of his class in 2001, with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine. During his third and fourth years at the University of Pittsburgh, he served as Class President.

In 2001, he returned to Northeast PA and joined the practice that was originally started by Dr. Walter Eichner. That practice became Hamlin Dental Center, Inc. when Dr. Kopesky purchased it in 2005. Remodeling and upgrading the office in 2008, he is committed to providing the highest quality patient care using the latest technology and techniques.

Believing strongly in continuing education, Dr. Kopesky has completed continuums with the world renowned Dawson Academy and Implant Seminars, where he has learned the skills necessary to provide the utmost in functional and esthetic dentistry to benefit his patients overall health.

He holds a Fellowship in the American Dental Implant Association and has earned his Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. Holding memberships in numerous professional organizations, he is active in the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Scranton District Dental Society, The Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Implant Association, the Dawson Academy Alumni Association, the Third District Dental Society, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and serves as the Wallenpaupack School District Dentist.
