Dr. Brian Tate grew up in Kokomo, IN. He completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with a Bachelors in Biology. Dr. Tate received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1995. He then completed a one year General Practice Residency at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, gaining a wealth of experience in hospital dentistry. His postgraduate studies in endodontics were completed at Indiana University School of Dentistry where he obtained his Endodontic Certificate and Masters of Science in Dentistry. In addition to full time clinical practice, he taught for eleven years as a part time Clinical Professor in Endodontics at the IU School of Dentistry. Outside of the office, you will find Dr. Tate boating and traveling. He is an excellent golfer and can navigate a dog-leg as well as a curvy root. He lives in Carmel with his wife, Leah, and their two french bulldogs - Preston and Petey.
Dr. Michael Aslin was born in Valparaiso and grew up in Connersville. He completed his undergraduate degree at Wabash College in 1991 and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2001. Upon receiving his dental degree, he completed a one year Advanced Education in Dentistry Residency program while serving as a captain in the US Air Force. Following a three year tour, he completed his postgraduate studies in endodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Aslin enjoys going to Colts games, and is an avid fan of Notre Dame football and Indiana basketball. He also likes to mountain bike and golf. He is a devoted husband and father to his wife, Jen, and his daughters - Sydney, Riley, and Sienna.
Dr. Blake Prather was born and raised in Kokomo, IN. Dr. Prather earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2011. He then completed a one year General Practice Residency at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, where he completed training in advanced restorative dentistry and treatment of medically compromised patients. His postgraduate studies in endodontics were completed at Indiana University School of Dentistry where he obtained his Endodontic Certificate and Masters of Science in Dentistry. After graduating, he became a board certified specialist as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Prather teaches in the Graduate Endodontic clinic at the IU dental school as a Clinical Professor. Dr. Prather is an avid IU fan, and enjoys going to Hoosier football and basketball games. He knows as much about Disney trivia as he does about dentistry, and considers Disney Parks a home away from home. He loves to spend time with his wife, Erin, and daughters, Bailey and Brooklyn.

This is my 2nd root canal w DR Tate and the tooth my dentist thought needed it ended up not needing a root canal. However another tooth did after the more descriptive 3D image machine and thorough analysis at his office. Instead of just doing it he sent me home w some antibiotics w a follow up appointment in 2 weeks. He not only saved me $$ he was able to diagnose and treat the proper tooth. He talked me through the procedure and made painless and efficient. I was leaving for vacation out of state and he wrote me a precautionary prescription in case of infection. I didn't need it but the peace of mind and caring for his patient was evident. I highly recommend DR Tate. I hope to never sit in his chair again but if needed he is my doctor.

By far the best dental experience I've ever had. The doctor was quick and professional and everyone was kind amd ensured I was comfortable. I went in for a root canal and didn't have a dentist for the permanent filling yet so they gave me one on the spot. They had ibuprofen and and to go bag afterwards all ready at the checkout counter after. Extremely high quality service and awesome experience.

Dr Aslin is fantastic - I have needed two root canals and both times there was no pain post op at all. He thoroughly explained everything and kept me informed throughout the entire procedure. I would highly recommend this office.

I'm so pleased with my experience with Hamilton County Endodontics! My appointment was scheduled within the week of my dentist's referral. I was prepared for just a consultation, but Dr. Prather was kind enough to squeeze me in to perform my treatment same day. Every staff member I encountered was polite and informative, and I certainly appreciate the efficiency. They really went the extra mile to work with me before my insurance ran out. Dr. Prather did an excellent job with the procedure, pain-free. My smile is already looking better!

I cannot begin to speak highly enough of this place. If I'm gonna have a root canal done then I feel more than relaxed with Dr Tate performing it. He's friendly, informative and a dam good surgeon. Can't recommend this place enough!!

My 8 year old has been coming here for follow up care after an abscess tooth and root canal. Because he's so young, it has to be regularly monitored until his jaw hardens. He's had a lot of head trauma and stitches so has a tendency to be afraid of health care providers. But he does great here and isn't afraid to come. Dr Aslin is very calm and explains things to him, but doesn't treat him like a baby. My son feels respected. And he loves that he gets a Chic-Fil-A card with his visits. (Unless they're out of cards!)

Dr. Tate is fabulous! He cares about my comfort before during and after my root canal. He explains things as he goes along. His assistant Eric is great. I would highly recommend Hamilton County Endodontics if you want a comfortable root canal procedure with caring people.

Like many, I sincerely dread the dentist - especially for a root canal. I must say however that this was my best experience. The staff were so knowledgeable and kind! Even though I felt very relaxed I still braced for the pain. But surprisingly there was none! Every step of the procedure was explained to me and I was even given a time frame every few minutes on how much longer I had to go. I asked a lot of questions and everything was explained thoroughly and without annoyance. Jasmine is so kind and knowledgeable. I wish I could have all of my needed dental work here. If you're in the area and you have choice of endodontists - YOU deserve this level of care.

I'm a 55-year old guy who is always afraid of going to the dentist, and have had a lifelong fear of needing a root canal. My dentist scheduled me with Dr Aslin, and I will be forever grateful. Brittany, who did the nitrous....and Paige, who was Dr Aslin's assistant the entire time were both compassionate, gentle and awesome. Dr Aslin was unbelievable! He listened to my fears of using a bite guard (my jaw locks) and did the procedure without one. He listened to my fears of not being fully numb, and gave me extra numbing. He explained every noise and step in the process. He allowed me to take intermittent breaks to relax my jaw. He was even cheerful about me needing to take a break to pee in the middle of the procedure. Finally, the horror stories I've heard about 3-hour long, painful root canals were unfounded. Very little discomfort, and it took just about one-hour on the nose. God bless the people of this practice.....they know their stuff and are very kind. If you have a fear of getting root canal, this is your guy!!
