Dr. Hamby grew up in Durham and from a young age dreamed of being a dentist and was determined to see his dream become a reality. After graduating from North Carolina State University, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at UNC-Chapel Hill. While medicine grows increasingly business-focused, Dr. Hamby is fiercely protective of maintaining a more patient-driven focus where he can enjoy interacting with his patients, providing personalized care in a family-friendly environment, and ensuring his patients receive the best possible dental care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hamby is dedicated to serving his community. He is a long-time member of Fuquay-Varina Presbyterian Church where he has served as a Deacon and Elder, and is also a member of the Fuquay-Varina Lions Club. To help those in need, he has volunteered on the Baptist Dental Bus and the North Carolina Dental Society Missions of Mercy (MOM) Clinics around the area. Dr. Hamby has also served in Albania on mission trips where he provided dental care to children in the area and helped with Bible School and English classes while there.
Dr. Loeffler has always been proud to call North Carolina home. After growing up in Cary, she received her Bachelors of Science in 2009 from UNC-Chapel Hill, where she stayed to attend dental school. After getting her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2013, Dr. Loeffler joined a dental practice in Charlotte. While she loved her patients and her time there, she wanted to move back to the Triangle area, and she joined Hamby Family Dental Center in 2017.
Dr. Loeffler has always enjoyed science and art, and truly loves meeting new people and helping others. She finds that dentistry allows her to incorporate her passions into a career she loves while getting an opportunity to know her patients. To stay up to date with the latest innovations and updates in dentistry, as well as meet other dentists, she is a member of both the North Carolina Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
When shes not working with patients to help them have a healthier smile, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including her husband Jon, their son Blake, and their very sweet (but very spoiled!) Goldendoodle, Reyna. They enjoy being outdoors and traveling when they get a chance!
While Dr. Lestini was born in Washington D.C., she moved to Raleigh with her family when she was a little girl and has made the Triangle her home ever since. After receiving her Bachelors of Science from Duke University, Dr. Lestini attended UNC-Chapel Hill where she got her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2015.
Dr. Lestiniis an active member of Capital Community Church in Raleigh where she teaches Sunday School to kindergartners through second graders and is a group leader with the Raleigh Young Adults Bible Study Fellowship Class. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and working on portraits in her painting studio.
We at Hamby Family Dental Center have always strived to give every part of our practice the personal touch because of this, our patients always comment on our warm and friendly atmosphere whenever they come in for a visit. Its closer to stopping in and saying hi to friends with quality dental work than it is to a regular visit to the dentist!

A tooth chipped and I went in today for an evaluation on what should be done to fix it. Dr Loeffler was great in guiding me as to what will direction to take. So nice and very personable!

My wife are patients here. We drive from southeast Raleigh - even though we moved to Raleigh from Fuquay-Varina in 2008. All the staff are interested in you and your needs. Karla DA'ed my teeth today. Excellent job, Karla!

I love this place! The staff is so friendly, helpful, welcoming and professional. I was with another practice for years and thought that I was getting good dental care. However, since coming to this practice, I realize my dental care before, was just ok. Stephanie, the hygienist I see, is top notch, very thorough, and is an expert in her field! The dentists are great as well!

I was really apprehensive going to Hamby Family Dental Center today as I had had a bad experience at an office that was purchased by a new dentist when my former dentist retired. My experiencce today was so positive. Stephanie and Marsha were so reassuring and did an excellent job charting and cleaning my teeth. Dr. Hamby was very professional and thorough in checking my teeth.I am beyond thankful that I have found a great dental practice that put my fears to rest and will give me quality care.

The appointment went well. Had my tooth pulled as soon as I had pain after an evaluation the day before. They told me what to expect and as it was numbing up keep asking if I was ok. Done in just about 10 minutes and with Advil have not had any pain. So thank you for getting me in quickly. Everyone was very friendly and polite.

I had a wonderful visit today for routine cleaning. My hygienist Carla was the most gentle person that has ever cleaned my teeth. I literally could have fallen asleep and I'm typically the white knuckle tense type. Thank you for a great visit team. See you in 6 months :-)

Been going to Dr. Hamby's for 30+ years, and this is the only place I'll ever go! The staff are ALWAYS nice and friendly and make you feel welcomed. They always take care of you here.
