Dr. Kurian was initially drawn to dentistry because she saw that it not only had the power to improve peoples health, but their self-esteem as well. By taking care of someones teeth and enhancing their smile, she could help them feel better both inside and out. She also liked that dentists were able to form close, one-on-one relationships with each patient, plus the profession offered an optimal work-life balance that would allow her to dedicate plenty of time to her family.
Dr. Kurian actually has two dental degreesshe graduated with a bachelors in dental surgery in her native India in 1995, and she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York College of Dentistry in 2000. To this day, she continues to hone her skills through advanced clinical training and takes courses to help her stay on top of the newest technology, techniques, and materials in dentistry. In the past, she attended the prestigious Dawson Academy and has taken numerous SPEAR Education courses. She is also a member of the following professional organizations:
Dr. Kurian is a big homebody, so when she isnt at the office, youll almost always find her at home spending time with her husband and their son and daughter. Dr. Kurian's son is currently working towards becoming a commercial pilot, and her daughter will be a freshman this year. She loves reading suspense books as well and enjoys getting and making recommendations for her patients who are into the same genre. She has a very diverse taste in music and chooses what to listen to depending on what her body and mind feel at the moment.

As our office manager, we rely on Justine to keep our patients and team organized day-to-day, and as youll see when you come to visit us, she does a great job! She has been in the dental field for over 25 years, 18 of which have been spent right here at Hamburg Family and Cosmetic Dental Group. She is originally from South Orange and likes to spend her off-time with friends and family as well as her five pets. She also likes to cook and be outdoors, preferably around a bonfire!
Originally from the beautiful town of West Milford, Amber says that the best thing about her job is being able to assist in the creation of beautiful and healthy smiles. She is a graduate of the dental assistant program at the Fortis Institute, and she is CPR certified as well. Away from work, she likes to hang out with her very large family, play with her two dogs, and spend as much time as she can outside (preferably fishing and boating!).
Even though Donna just recently joined our team, she brings over 30 years of oral healthcare experience to our practice. In addition to her hygiene training, she is also OSHA and CPR certified. Donna has been married to Sean for 24 years, and they have three daughters as well as the best puppy in the world named Benji. During her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Monique has an impressive 27 years of dental experience, so when it comes to giving our patients clean and healthy teeth, you can trust that youre always in good hands with her! She began her dental career at the Fairfield Dental Institute by getting her dental assisting certifications before going on to complete the hygiene program. Today, she has completed advanced training for nitrous oxide monitoring, anesthesia, and laser dentistry. Outside of work, her four children keep her very busy, and thankfully, she really likes to cook! She also enjoys being outdoorshiking and skiing are on her list of favorite things to do, and she tries to go for a walk or jog every day. She also frequently listens to books.
After graduating from Bergen Community College with her AAS in Dental Hygiene, Stephanie joined our practice, and she now thoroughly enjoys being able to promote good oral and overall health on a daily basis. In addition to her hygiene training, she is also certified in local anesthesia, CPR, and BLS. Always positive and optimistic, she tries to stay active outside of work and exercises whenever she can. She has been a dancer since she was two and says this will always be a hobby she pursues. When not working or trying to catch up on sleep, she likes to spend time with her friends and family.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Kurian's practice since we moved here in 2012. We can't image ever going to anyone else. Her entire staff is very professional and warm. She is the best dentist we have ever had. Dr. Kurian and her team are the best! Great flexibility and never leave with a question unanswered. Been going to Dr. K since the start in 2009 and she helped me so much with the ICON treatment to remove white spots and gave me more confidence in my smile! Highly recommend for anyone who is nervous about the dentist because the whole crew makes the experience great.

I went to Dr Kurian for my teeth whitening in prep for my daughters wedding. I have to say that my experience with Dr Kurian and her entire team was exceptional. Thank was treated like a star, personal attention by Dr. Kurian and her team very personable and professional. The education given to me was very detailed and the team checked up on my progress. From The beginning to the final check out every one was Attentive, Courteous, and kind. I was very happy with the results of my teeth whitening. I highly recommend Hamburg dental.

Dr. Kurian was wonderful. I am from out of town and was visiting family but I was having relentless pain following a root canal from earlier in the week. She got me in same day and helped to alleviate my pain by fixing the height of my bite in the tooth I had the root canal done in. She was compassionate, knowledgeable, kind, and caring and talked me through everything she was doing. She helped me understand why I was having pain and she even consulted with my endodontist who did the root canal. I was finally able to sleep after three sleepless nights. My family is brand new to this area, but they know who their new dentist will be. Thank you Dr. Kurian!

Dr Kurian and her staff are amazing. They are very welcoming and make every visit a nice experience. Several years back I was faced with needing to decide on whether to have a second root canal done, or pull the tooth and get an implant. Dr Kurian discussed my case with the other doctors involved, crunched numbers with me, and helped in my decision making process. I don't know of any other doctor that would invest so much time helping a patient. I gladly recommend Dr Kurian to everyone I know.

I am a new patient to Hamburg Family Dental and was impressed. Having had horrible treatment by prior dentists, I was anxious about starting anew but Dr Kurian and her team were wonderful to me. From the moment or signing in, to the x-rays and breaking down the exam in words I understood, to me leaving...All was as good as I could've hoped for. Dr Kurian is funny too! That helped me feel comfortable.

I can't say enough about the entire staff. From the initial appointment to the procedure performed. They follow every step of the COVID C.D.C. Guidelines from the time you make the appointment and continue it upon arrival of your procedure. Amber and Dr. Kurian are the most compassionate and understanding medical professionals I've ever encountered. They explain every step of the procedure and continually make sure your relaxed and comfortable during the same. Dr. Kurian explains what is needed so you can decide the best path of treatment for the future.
