April previously worked at a non-profit organization for school administrators before joining the staff in 2008. She holds a BA in biology and psychology from SFSU. April absolutely enjoys working with patients and making sure they receive the best attention possible. When April isn 't in the office, she reads, enjoys dinners out with her husband and plays 'Uber' to her kids ' various activities!
Upon completion of a two-year dental assistant program at a local city college, Fay successfully passed the nationally recognized CDS and RDA (California recognized) examinations. After twenty plus years of working for a general dentist as the manager and chair side assistant, she joined Dr. Halls office in 1995 and became a certified oral and maxillofacial surgery assistant. Fay and her spouse enjoy traveling around the world, ballroom dancing and activities at the local YMCA.
Ana has been with the team since 2002. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Centro Escolar University, (Manila, Philippines). Ana is the surgical assistant for Dr. Hall and works as an RDA for a general dentist in Daly City. She loves to travel during her free time. Her philosophy in life is to always be a better person.
Claudia has been with our team since 2016. She loves everything about her job! From the patients to helping them with their needs, she gives it her all. In addition, she enjoys discovering new cities and spending time with her family. Claudia also enjoys going to beaches & horseback riding.
Teresa is an Oral Surgery Assistant. She works wonderfully with others and enjoys taking care of patients, making sure they are as comfortable as possible. On her free time she enjoys spending time with her family. She loves to dance and travel.
Russell recently graduated from the University of California, Merced, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. He ultimately hopes to achieve a DDS/DMD himself, and is currently in the process of applying to dental schools around the country. On his free time, Russell enjoys playing basketball and going to the gym. He is also a dedicated fan of the SF Giants, Golden State Warriors, and SF 49ers.
Dr. Paul Hall is a Board Certified Oral and Facial Surgeon, who received his training in New York University and Bellevue Hospital Centera premier Medical center in the country. He has been a Board Certified Oral Facial Surgeon since 1992. During this time, he has served the communities of Daly City and South San Francisco.
Board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons are recognized as having achieved and continue to maintain the highest standards within their profession. Certified surgeons voluntarily decide to meet additional standards above and beyond what standard licensing requires.
Dr. Hall grew up in the Bay Area, graduated from Carlmont High School in Belmont and obtained his BA degree in Physiology from University of California, Berkeley. He did postgraduate studies in Neurophysiology before receiving his doctorate (D.D.S. - Doctor of Dental Surgery) from the University of California, San Francisco. Shortly after graduation, Dr. Hall established this Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery office and has been in the same location serving Daly City and South San Francisco for almost 30 years. Dr. Halls clinical expertise include dental oral surgery, bone grafting, implants, pathology and surgical root canals (known as apicoectomies) and management of patients with TMJ and facial pain.
Dr. Halls interest include volunteering, teaching and has remained active in the community. He began teaching in 1990 as an Assistant Clinical Professor, receiving several awards in the Department of Oral Facial Surgery at UCSF. He has trained hundreds of dental students and oral maxillofacial surgery residents. Throughout the years, Dr. Hall has also held numerous positions with organized dentistry. He served as a board member with the San Mateo County Dental Association and is currently the co-chair of the Ethics Committee. He also served as President of the Northern California Asian Association and has been a board member for many years.
Dr. Hall spends his free time with his family, attending his children's activities or enjoying Cal football and basketball and has been a Bear Backer for 30 years. Dr. Hall is married to April, his kind-hearted, wonderful wife, who is devoted to taking care of their children. They are both active in volunteering within their community and multiple local charities.
Dr. Sy was raised in Tucson, Arizona where he attended the University of Arizona on a full scholarship and graduated college in three years with a 4.0 GPA in physiology. He completed dental school at UCLA in 2009, earning numerous academic and leadership awards along the way. Upon graduation, he worked for one year for the Native American Tribal Health Center (completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry-AEGD) before accepting a resident position at UCSF Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. For the next six years, he trained in one of the premiere medical centers in the country where he received his medical degree (UC Davis), anesthesia, general surgery and maxillofacial surgery certification from UCSF. Dr. Sy has also been active in research and is the first author of two manuscripts in well-established, peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Sy is of Chinese/Filipino descent, fluent in three languages including Tagalog and Taiwanese-Hokkien and is also conversational in Spanish. One of Dr. Sys main interests is teaching and he frequently gives Continuing Education lectures on a broad range of topics from medical emergencies to cosmetics. His other interests include global outreach, travel and is a huge fan of bay area sports. He is married to his wife, Kippy, who is a general dentist in public health. They both continue to be active in their community and local charities.
Dr. Sy is skilled in all facets of oral and maxillofacial surgery and his scope includes dentoalveolar, implants, bone grafting, sinus lifts, office-based intravenous sedation, trauma, pathology, orthognathic surgery and non-surgical cosmetic alternatives such as Botox, Kybella, Latisse and dermal filler injections.

Had been to other surgeons in the past but By FAR Dr Sy stands above the rest. New office - seems like it was just opened w plenty of FREE parking w a parking garage (important for someone who comes from SF). He is very personable and builds a connection quickly w patients and takes time to answer your questions during the consultation. The surgery was a breeze and got my wisdom teeth extracted under sedation. Healing went according to plan and they took care of the insurance. My copay wasn't that much. 10/10. Go here and have nothing to worry about.

Dr sy is very professional, funny and knows what he is doing. I needed an extraction and bonegraft for 3 for my missing teeth. He got the job done painlessly and smoothly and batelt any pain. i would like to thank Dr sy and his amazing front and back staff for their great work

Been dodging my consultation on wisdom teeth removal for a long time due to being scared. I finally went 2 weeks ago for the consult and got the extraction done last week, and it was the best decision I made bc dr sy made me feel relax and comfortable. The front desk named patricia helped me out with the finances was very nice. And shout out to the assistants kyle ana and chris for doing a very good job. I thank the office for everything!!!!!

My dentist told me that I needed a wisdom teeth extraction since 2018 but I kept on postponing it until a month ago, where I decided to book a consultation with Dr. Sy. The doctor told me that I should've done this 2 years ago before the teeth were fully developed so he warned me that the extraction wouldn't be as smooth. However, it only took the doctor 30 minutes to take out all 4 teeth. The overall experience was better than my expectation! You're rolling now - got any more to add?

Wisdom teeth extraction was a breeze, more anxiety with the needle for IV than with the entire experience under or through recovery. Swelling was extremely minimal, with pain being easily taken care of with Tylenol.

I got my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Sy and the surgery went very well! First, the consultation was super informative and the staff was very kind. Dr. Sy is incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He gave me options (with different price points per procedure) to choose from and was very kind and empathetic. The coordination between him and his staff was super organized and they were able to get everything they needed from me and my other dentists very efficiently. The procedure itself went very smoothly and only lasted an hour! Dr. Sy and his staff calmed any anxiety that I had beforehand. He clearly explained the IV sedation process before putting me under and I felt no pain or discomfort throughout the entire process. He was very gentle and respectful. Once the procedure was over, his assistant provided me with very clear after care instructions. They also wheel chaired me out to my ride and gave me everything I needed to take care of myself! They coordinated with my driver and there were no inconveniences. The follow-up appointment a week after the surgery was also super quick and efficient. He kindly answered all of my questions and provided me with more after care instructions. Overall, Dr. Sy is very good at his job and the experience was very pleasant. He exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Sy!

I was terrified of having my wisdom teeth removed. Thinking of the swelling, pain, and liquid/soft diet didn't help. Neither did Googling the process (but that's on me) I can now say, a week after having my wisdom teeth removed, that Dr. Aldrich Sy and the staff here are amazing. I never felt pressured, or uninformed. The procedure was done quickly, and I had so little swelling that my family thought my surgery hadn't happened yet! The pain was minimal and definitely manageable. It was one of those experiences where I felt I had either rolled the dice really, really, reeeaaallly well for my healing, or, the more likely explanation, Dr. Sy did phenomenal work! Post-procedure Dr. Sy kept in touch frequently by phone and e-mail, answering any and all questions. I would recommend him to anyone!

Pain was my main concern when I had my wisdom teeth removed. I had local anesthesia and it was a completely painless experience; everything went smoothly. No post op pain either with prescribed pain meds.

I recently had 4 wisdom teeth extracted last week by Dr.Sy and I came home with minimal to no pain. Him and his staff were extremely accommodating and friendly during the whole process. They were also always proactive about sending text reminders and confirmations of appointments, which contributed to all my visits running smoothly.

Dr Sy is an incredibly skilled surgeon and made my wisdom teeth removal super easy and pain free. I was told at 25 there can be complications but with his skill, there were no issues and the very next day I was back on my feet. Very reasonably priced for the skill and attention to detail he takes and the after care if great. If you're looking to get any work done I highly recommend Dr Sy. Most Definately will be returning if I need any work done. Thanks again to the whole team from reception to assistants during the surgery.
