Dr. Halgren dedicated 11 and a half years of his life to fulfilling his dream of becoming an orthodontist. During that time, he sought out opportunities to further his knowledge and serve the communities around him. He even spent two months serving the underprivileged in rural Dominican Republic. He continues to seek opportunities to learn and serve the people of Mount Vernon and Orcas Island.
As a dedicated lifelong learner, Dr. Halgren continues to seek opportunities to advance his education and knowledge of orthodontics, even after completing his 11 and a half year journey through higher education. Dr. Halgren participates in his community and holds competitions at his office to help his patients stay involved and to enjoy their time in orthodontic treatment. His hard work and dedication show both in the results of his patients as well as in the awards and recognition he has received.
Dr. Paul Halgren and his family are proud to call Mount Vernon their home. For the Halgrens, great smiles run in the family! Dr. Halgrens wife, Dr. Keri Halgren, serves the Mount Vernon community as a dentist. The pair live in Mount Vernon with their two daughters. Both are very proud and thankful to get to serve the community and impact such a large part of so many lives.

*EDIT* So apparently this place is heavily over charging for the braces that I have. We spoke to several other orthodontists. I am paying about $3,000 out of my pocket (with insurance!) for only SIX brackets. My family had other orthodontic work done on their entire mouth for the same price or slightly more. The only reason I'm keeping the stars at all is for the exceptional customer service. That's about it.

We are so grateful for our treatment & care the team at Halgren have given us over the years. Two of our sons have been seen, one finished his treatment & his teeth are fantastic! Our second son was almost finished when we moved out of the area, we already miss the staff at Halgren. Thank you for the years of care for our family!!!

One of the unexpected down sides of being in my sixties turned out to be that I began to bite my lip regularly several times per week. My lower teeth were crowded to the front and so crooked that I looked like the old man at the beginning of Aladdin. When my dentist suggested that braces could correct this is I was skeptical. Later, after my initial visit to Dr. Halgren, when he explained that the plan would be to pull a front tooth and use Invisalign braces to move everything over and fill the resulting gap I was astounded as well as skeptical. At the beginning of this month I had my last appointment. It's been two years, six months since my first visit. The problem I went in for has been corrected for about a year, but Dr. Halgren wanted to correct other misalignments as well. Now everything is straight, even and comfortable. The fee for all this was paid up front. It was not cheap, but has been well worth the money. I feel that the value I received in return is incalculable. All the while, fighting through Covid and all its various challenges, Dr. Halgren and his staff have continued to be professional, cheerful and proactive. I give them high praise and would recommend them to anyone.
