Dr. Hal S. Jeter has practiced general dentistry in his hometown of South Point, Ohio for over 20 years. Dr. Jeter is a graduate of South Point High School, Marshall University, and The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He is currently on the medical staff of Cabell Huntington Hospital, Kings Daughters Medical Center, and Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Dr. Jeter is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Association of Hospital Dentists, the American and International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He received the Distinguished Dental Award from the Ohio Academy of General Dentistry and was recognized as best in the tri-state by local newspapers.
Dr. Jeter is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Ohio Dental Association, the Southern Ohio Dental Society, the Ohio Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Special Care Dentistry Association. He also sits on several committees concerned with access to dental care and dental hygiene education, including Give Kids A Smile, Dental OPTIONS and Dentistry from the Heart.

We also attend annual infection control and medical emergencies training, including BLS and CPR.

Some members of my family have literally been patients here for decades. Doctor Jeter is considered a minor saint by some of my wife's kin.

Just not a very good office in my opinion. This dentist will use 1 appointment for x-rays. Then a 2nd one to talk about x-rays, then a 3rd one to maybe fix something. I know the relationship between insurance and doctors such and creates these things sometimes but this is ridiculous. I moved on

Dr Jeter is an excellent dentist been going for years to him I asked last year if he could see my daughter and my fiance he said yes but he didn't take Molina Insurance so they switched to CareSource which took over a year for them to switch it now I went back today to have a tooth pulled and I asked him again if he could see my fiance and my daughter and he said no he couldn't so I will no longer be going to Dr Jitter and it's a shame but I don't see myself relieving my pain for myself over my daughter my family we really need a doctor to see us all it says Family Dentistry but they ain't no family there he don't want to see my family and treat them so I guess I will be in pain cuz I'm not going to relieve my pain and see my daughter and my fiance in pain

Dr. Melvin is so talented at what she does, and her treatment is an art form. She revived, rebuilt and restore my smile as I had neglected it for years. I will forever appreciate the work she has done. I don't mind driving 2.5 hours to see her because she has worked wonders. I haven't seen Dr Jeter much, but he is definitely a very nice guy and his office should be proud of the things they can do. I sure am

Best Dentist!!! I've had so many bad experiences at other dds an Jeter had to fix the damage of others, They are very clean an thorough also which is very important to me, I'll never go anywhere else again I've learned the hard way

Tried to schedule my son's referal appointment now through 2 different dentists office, receptionist is very rude and not helpful. Take your kids anywhere but here because if the first line of contact acts this way I can only imagine how the rest of the staff conducts themselves.

My experience today at Dr. Jeter's office was very good. I saw Dr. Melvin, and she did an excellent job with fillings. She was very personable and made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. Jeter and Dr. Melvin and their staff.

Professional and prompt staff who genuinely seem to care about the customer. I recently had an extraction and Dr. Jeter was a very calming presence throughout the process. He kept me informed as he progressed and asked how I was doing on several occasions. Easily the best dental service that I've ever had.

This is the most kindest ,soft spoken dentist I've ever been too! The staff and hygienist are equality as kind. If they are having a bad day you would never know it I Would recommend if you don't have a dentist ,check them out.

I took my son there because I was told he was really good to work with if you have a loved one with special needs. He was rude, sarcastic and downright mean. My son needed dental surgery and Dr. Jeter performed the WRONG PRECEDURES!!! I found some wonderful Dentists/Oral Surgeons at THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY that performed the needed surgery as well as correcting what Dr. Jeter messed up.

I was supposed to have dental surgery and I called office few times about the Covid testing they kept referring me to contact KDMC for how to test ect. So I did 3 times. Was told I could do a at home Covid spit Saliva test as long as it was pcr test and sent to lab and results were brought in . I was required to have results morning of surgery at latest to be able to do surgery The day before lady at Jeters office called me said hospital called said I didn't have my Covid test done yet which I did, negative Covid test. She said my surgery was canceled. Told me to contact Hospital to see if I could still be on schedule. Hospital said they canceled it. So I called back asking for a reschedule cause I was tested and had proof. The lady at Jeters office said they will no longer offer service to "me". When I visited Jeters office they were great but they don't work with hospital on scheduling cause they never had any info to help there. I have really bad anxiety and was told Jeter's office was the best. I feel This is poor service as Dr. And Hospital should know what is going on. As I kept Jeters office in the loop of what hospital ok'd and everything. I didn't get the same in return. I waited about 3 months for this surgery. To be canceled and then rejected at no fault of my own. But yes Dr. And staff when I went to intial appointment were great. You are supposed to serve those who already have fears not to add more to it though though lack of communicating with facilities to ensure patience have smooth and correct appointments testing ect.

The best dentist. My girls have been going to Dr. Jeter since they were old enough to start seeing a dentist. Before Dr. Jeter i stopped going to dentist because I never found a good Dr. Since seeing Dr. Jeter (15yrs now I believe) He's done root canals on me and not once did I have any pain. My daughters cm and I love him and all his amazing staff. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Jeter. Ken Adams

Had a cleaning Hannah was the lady that done the work she was awesome, the whole office staff is great. Dr. Jeter is a friend of mine and awesome Dentists. If you need dental work this is the place to go you won't be disappointed
