We will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits. We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. For patients who require major work, a complete payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or any major credit card.
Dr. Hal ShapiroDr. Shapiro graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1986. Prior to earning his Doctorate, he attended New York University undergraduate school and received a bachelors degree in Biology. Dr. Shapiro has been in private dental practice for 34 years.
Connie has been an integral part our Dental Team since the first day Dr. Shapiro moved to our prior location on Wilson Rd. in 1990. She was instrumental in the successfulmove to our current location and we are grateful for her years of dedicated service, Over those 30 years she has done both dental assisting and clerical aspects of the office. She is currently serving as Office Manager and oversees all front office activities. Connie is very knowledgeable of all aspects of dentistry and insurance and a great asset to both the office and our patients.
Marty has been a dedicated Dental Hygienist and part of our Dental Team for 24 years. She has over 41 years of experience in dentistry as she was a dental assistant for 17 years prior to earning her RDH degree from Taft College in 1995. Marty is bilingual and is very caring in her approach to treating patients.. She is a very experienced clinician as well a joy to meet and work with.
Lindsey joined our team in 2018 and we were very happy and proud to welcome her aboard. She graduated from the Taft College Dental Hygiene Program having earned her RDH in 2011. With 9 years of clinical experience and a very caring and easy going style, Lindsey makes your cleaning visits something to look forward to. She always tries to keep you comfortable and reduce your stress.
Sara is an excellent clinician. She has been practicing as a dental Hygienist for 9 years. She graduated from Taft College Dental Hygiene Program in 2011. Sara began working with Dr. Shapiro in 2018. She is a Bakersfield native and mom to two beautiful little girls. She has a great following of patients that she has seen for years and they always ask for her by name when it is their recall time.
Lisa has 31 years of experience in dentistry having earned her RDA from SJVC in 1989. She has been an integral part of our Dental Team for 18 years working daily hand in hand with Dr Shapiro. Our patients love Lisa's bubbly personality.
Tiffany has 20 years experience in dentistry. She has been a very dedicated Dental Team member as our Dental Assistant for over 18 years. It is said the assistant is like the Doctor's second pair of hands and Tiffany is no exception. Patients look forward to seeing her at every visit.

I've been a patient here for 10 years. Dr. Shapiro has excellent manners with his patients and takes his time to explain all the poking and prodding and everything else in between. Very professional but also very reassuring and welcoming. Amazing level of care and a small personal practice, best combination possible. His office staff is very efficient and his hygienists have been great too. Dr. Shapiro even took my call on a weekend after a painful recovery from a wisdom tooth extraction and his office called me first thing Monday morning to schedule a follow up before I even had a chance to reach out to them. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

His whole office is immaculate and we never have to wait long before being called back into an exam room and having the dental work done. Dr Shapiro and his staff are excellent. They are equally professional and personable. I have regularly had my teeth cleaned for a very long time (50+ years in the US and overseas) and Dr Shapiro's staff is the best hygienist I have ever had work on my teeth. They are thorough and efficient, and my mouth feels clean! Dr Shapiro is great, no BS from him. He tells you clearly what he thinks you need, and how he recommends your situation be handled. If possible, he will give you options on how best to care for your teeth. You make the decision, and he is there to support you. You cannot go wrong making an appointment with Dr Shapiro and his staff.

Staff is super friendly and amazing. I've known most of them for a few years. The doctor is very straightforward and explains everything in a way that anyone can understand. He is very helpful and has great bedside manner. Even when he didn't accept the insurance I had a couple of years ago, he was still willing to see one of my children when we had an issue with her teeth, and on the weekend when my insurance had no appointments available for a couple of days.

I have been going to Dr.Shapiro's office since I moved to Bakersfield in 1997 because it was recommended from my dad's coworkers and I have never found a reason to go anywhere else. Staff is great. Dr. Shapiro explains everything he is going to do and doesn't try to sell you a service you don't need. This is a great dentist office.

Hands down the best dentist in town. Dr. Shapiro is kind and does great work. He does not perform unnecessary procedures like a lot of dentists around. His staff is awesome as well. Would give 10 stars if it were on option .
