My family goes to this office for 10+ years. So far so good. Of many other dentists we've been to in maryland and florida, this one is in top 5%. They don't do extractions and other complicated procedures, otherwise ok.

DO NOT come here! I had to go back 4 times to fix a filling in less than a year. Talk about inconvenience! The first two times it was painful and uncomfortable and the last two times the filling kept falling off for no reason. One of the times he rushed through the repair, acted as if I was an inconvenience and the filling fell off that SAME DAY! I will not be coming here again. Hear me now, believe me later..find another dentist.

I am absolutely terrified of going to the dentist but the people in Dr. Banfield's office have helped me deal with my fear. Everyone in the office is incredibly nice - from entering the building straight on to Dr. Banfield. The technicians have small hands which is perfect if you have a small mouth or can't crack your jaw open wide. The technician who cleans my teeth is very patient with my terrible gag reflex. I've gotten a crown there. The technician who did the impression of my mouth was fast and I barely had a problem. It was a little bit hard to get immediate help needed when I chipped a tooth a few years ago but that might have changed. I've had no problem getting in to see them when I need.

I was a patient of Dr. Banfield for a little over two years. I got five cavities filled by him, each one fell out (yes, all of them) within six to eight months. After having each tooth refilled (and paying for each tooth to be refilled) I still had pain and discomfort. When I spoke with the staff they made it seem as though everything was my fault and that I was a huge inconvience. Fast forward to getting a new dentist. After getting x-rays it was discovered that the cavities weren't completely cleaned out before the fillings were put in and the decay was growing inside my teeth and into my nerves. Three dental procedures and quite a bit of money later I finally feel the way I should. I would not recommend his services to anyone that is looking for a honest, reliable dentist.

I had been to several dentist in Gainesville before moving over to this office over 10 years ago. It is a small office and the service is great. The staff is friendly and Dr. Banfield does a great job. Before I went to Dr. Banfield I was told by my last dentist that I had 7 cavities needing fillings. I have had 1-2 fillings over the past 10 years without any issues. My teeth have never been better.

Daughter never felt comfortable here but when they gave her the only fillings she's ever had to have in 20 yrs and she complained that the filling was sharp the response she got was that it would calm downbut instead it fell out and we are now paying to have 2 replaced

I was a patient for almost 8 years. Front Office staff did not verify my insurance. Said that was MY JOB although every dentist office I have seen verifies insurance. I had a bridge put in by the dentist it came loose! I went back dentist re cemented the bridge and it was infected. I went to a different dentist because they didn't take my insurance and office staff never told me thank heavens I did because the tooth underneath that he re cemented was infected and full of PUS. That could have gotten in to my blood stream. I had to have that bridge and tooth removed. A cemented bridge coming loose isn't something you re cement if the cement broke loose there is a reason. IF YOU VALUE your teeth and HEALTH DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!
