I grew up on a small farm near Plymouth, IN, and completed my undergraduate studies at Manchester College. I completed my doctorate in dentistry at Indiana University School of Dentistry. I have been practicing dentistry in New Castle since 2000. When I have free time, I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my wife, Cyndi, and two sons, Cooper and Garrett. When Im at the office, dentistry is my complete focus, as it has been for a long time.

I enjoy the combination of artistry and science that dentistry affords me. The ability to transform a smile, alleviate discomfort and help my patients maintain optimum oral and overall health is a wonderful feeling. In fact, I can't imagine doing anything else.
Growing up in a small town in Columbus, IN, I always knew I'd pursue a career in the medical field. After receiving my bachelor's degree in biology from Purdue University, I attended Indiana University School of Dentistry where I graduated in 2008.
I worked in corporate dentistry for a year. However, my love of people (and small-town living) drew me to private practice in New Castle. I joined Parkview Family Dentistry and its sister site, Hagerstown Family Dentistry in 2009, and feel fortunate to work with a team of professionals who possess the same level of compassion, high standards, and commitment to providing superior, state-of-the-art dental care.
Aside from my work, my greatest joy is spending time with my husband, a veterinarian who grew up in New Castle. We enjoy hiking, walking, biking, and snow skiing. We're also avid football fans, Go Colts!!

Really professional people I would recommend anybody to go there even though there was a bit of trouble with my last feelings been having to take Ibuprofen like the candy but that's not their fault I don't think overall it's a great place to go if you can go so get in if you can.

had a really great experience here all 3 times that i've gone recently. before this i hadn't been to the dentist in around 15 years which is something i'm obviously not proud of. i've had anxiety for a long time about going for different reasons but they never made me feel uncomfortable or judged and it didn't hurt near as bad as i expected. they did a great job on 5 fillings and used tooth colored material instead of metal which was awesome! and a great job on my deep cleaning. def will be going back and keeping them as my dentist from now on. everyone is super professional and kind. and it's fast too which is was a plus for me!

Had a very good experience, Dr. Rich and all the staff I encountered were extremely friendly, efficient, and communicated everything that was part of my dental treatment. They really were an impressive team and provided an impressive dental experience under the circumstances.

Front desk is rude and lacks common sense!!!! She couldn't do a simple task, why was she hired if she can't do her job correctly. Sat there for half an hour waiting on her to do something so simple!! She's was so stupid!

All of their employees park in front of my house instead of in front of or near their own business. My husband is a disabled veteran and I have issues with my back and hip and we've asked them to please park elsewhere but they always end up parking in front of our house again. I go here but I'm going to go somewhere else since they can't respect the parking in the neighborhood. Just rude as hell.
