Dr. Haar is a native of Ventura; he graduated through the local school system before attending UCSB, where he received his Bachelors degree in Physiology and Cell Biology. He earned his Doctorate of Dentistry from the University of Southern Illinois. Dr. Haar completed his orthodontic specialty training at UCLA in 1992 and is a fellow of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also an active member of local and national, dental and orthodontic societies.
Briana was born and raised in Ventura County. Briana has been working in the dental field for over 17 years. She began her career working for a large dental insurance company where she specialized in customer service and worked directly with the providers. Then she transitioned into the dental office where she specialized as the Insurance and Financial Coordinator. After all of this time, she still maintains her passion of helping patients love their smile. When shes not a work, Briana loves spending time with her husband, two boys and her Basset hounds!
Julie Lockwood Graves, grew up in Camarillo CA, the daughter of an Orthodontist. Julie became a Registered Dental Assistant RDA 31 years ago and has worked in the specialized field of Orthodontics for 40 years. Julie was trained by her father, a prominent Orthodontist who practiced in Camarillo.Julie has been working with Dr. Haar for 20 years now and believes they make a wonderful team helping our patients achieve that smile of a lifetime. Together Lori and Julie make a great team . Work is always more enjoyable when you get to spend the day with your friends.
What Julie loves most about her job is seeing the transformations that occur in a person while creating that perfect smile, which sometimes can take years, that is why establishing a trusting relationship is so important to her, no tears only smiles.
Julie has lived in Oak View for 30 years, married to her husband Ron and two beautiful children Lindsey 31, and Lauren 29. Their family was very involved in 4-H for years, raising livestock, horses and scrapbooking. Julie strives to live a healthy lifestyle and illuminate how hygiene is a fundamental part of it to our patients!
Emily was born and raised in Ventura County. She has been working front office in the dental field for a few years now. Emily started her career working for a general dentist. From there, she made the move to Orthodontics working for our office. While Emily is new to Ortho, her favorite aspect of the job hasnt change; getting to interact with patients! Outside of work, Emily is a full time student and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. We are very lucky and proud to have Emily on our team.

I'd say 5 stars but I feel cheated!! Got my sons braces on early because the doc. said he needed it. Just to get them off and need them back on in a year. No discount!! Just have to pay for the service 2x to get the end result?!?! If I would have know this??? I would have waited to just put them on him at 14 and only pay once!!!! Don't listen to him!! Wait till all the adult teeth are in to put them on!!!! Feeling ripped off!!

Dr Haar and his staff are incredibly friendly and make my son feel very comfortable when visiting. I so appreciate their commitment to keeping their clients and staff safe in Covid. They check temperatures at the door with screening questions before my son can enter. The photo I have attached is the back door where I meet my son when he is finished with his appointment. There is always parking in the back and I can use the office wifi while I wait. There is also wheelchair access on this ramp. Great job Haar Orthodontics!

I wanted to correct some imperfections to my smile and decided to try out Invisalign. I'm half way through my treatment and can't believe how quickly my teeth are shifting. The confidence I've gained is life-changing. I want to smile constantly! The aligners are so comfortable and hardly even visible! Thats the best part. No one can even see I'm wearing them. It was the best investment. Haar Orthodontics and his friendly, compassionate staff understood my concerns and exceeded my expectations. Thank you for this wonderful experience Haar Ortho!

This was an earlier post below I wanted to repost on yelp as we are returning again to see Dr. Haar with one of my two sons mentioned below to evaluate our orthodontic options for care. My past experience with my daughter exceeded my expectations in every aspect starting with the initial consultation, professional Doctor and staff, state of the art/latest equipment, clean office and the entire process went accordingly well and my daughter is very happy with her Dr. Haar smile. MJC 'My high school daughter, happy as can be and bouncing into the kitchen this morning, shows me her incredible Smile like it was Christmas. As I give her the biggest hug, all I can think of is how well Dr. Haar and his use of the Invisalign system was such a pleasurable experience. He was and is definitely the right choice. I have two boys and in the near future will also be under the care of Dr. Haar and his wonderful staff'.
