When you come into the office of Gyuricza & Hartman Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, youll be greeted by a friendly staff whose goal is to help you feel comfortable and relaxed. We keep our wait times to a minimum, and we always take the time to explain any procedures to you so you know what to expect. We offer both general and cosmetic dental care, designed to keep your teeth and gums strong, and your smile bright and uniform.
We use only state-of-the-art equipment in our practice, as well as the most advanced techniques that dental technology has to offer. We understand that it takes more than just filling a cavity to help you feel good about your smile. Were always happy to consult with you about any concerns you have about your teeth and provide you with viable treatment options.
Dr. Hartman is a 2000 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. She complemented her dental education with resident training in General Practice and Hospital Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Although she was the daughter of a United States Air Force pilot who was transferred frequently, Dr. Hartman graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School in 1992. She then went on to earn a B.S. in Biological Science from the Florida State University.
Dr. Hartman is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Board of the Virginia Dental Services Corporation, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society, where she served as a member of the Patient Relations Committee and the Peer Review Committee, and currently serves as the Societys President. In addition to participating in monthly continuing education sessions sponsored by the NVDS, Dr. Hartman has also pursued postgraduate studies with the Dawson Academy and participated in Dental Oral Conscious Sedation (DOCS) seminars. She is a DOCS member and is certified in the Commonwealth of Virginia to perform the single-drug oral conscious sedation protocol.
Dr. Hartman lives in Alexandria with her husband Joseph, a professor in the Department of Government at Georgetown University and a 1992 graduate of Robinson Secondary School. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hartman enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Anderson is a double graduate of Creighton University College of Arts and Sciences with a B.S. in Biology and School of Dentistry with a D.D.S. Dr. Anderson is from North Dakota and fell in love with the Northern Virginia area after multiple educational experiences in Washington, D.C. One of her favorite experiences was as a congressional intern in the office of Senator Kent Conrad. Since graduation, she has been practicing general dentistry in Northern Virginia.
Dr. Anderson is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. Continuing her education is very important to Dr. Anderson, as she has completed over 500 hours of continuing education, including programs at the Dawson Academy, the Kois Center, and the Spear Education Center, and is currently a member of the Spear Study Club. She recently was given the honor of being elected by her peers at the Virginia Dental Association to serve as the Speaker for the House of Delegates, as well as serving as the Vice President of the Northern Virginia Dental Society. Dr. Anderson was also recently awarded her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Gyuricza is a 1974 graduate of Georgetown Universitys School of Dentistry. He continued his education with an advanced training General Practice Residency program at the Veterans Administrative Hospital in Washington, DC.
Dr. Gyuricza is past president of the Northern Virginia Dental Society and the Fairfax County Dental Society. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Virginia Dental Association, and the American College of Dentists and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association. He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration and the Implant Society of Northern Virginia.
Dr. Gyuriczas experience, his dedication to the dental profession, and his continual training in cosmetic dentistry has gained him the respect of the community. Dr. Gyuriczas post graduate studies at the Pankey and Dawson Center have helped him become one of the best dentists in the Washington D.C. area as selected in the following magazines:

Dr. Anderson is amazing! I love her, she is a fantastic dentist. However, the rest of the staff are completely incompetent. I have billing issues EVERY SINGLE TIME I have an appointment. EVERY SINGLE TIME they get the billing wrong and they don't send statements in a timely manner. I will NEVER go back. It's too bad because I love Dr. Anderson, but it's just not worth the hassle.

Dr. Hartman and Dr. Anderson and the staff are all so wonderful and go out of there way to make you feel comfortable. They are extremely professional, friendly, and caring and honestly have your best interest at heart. I actually look forward to going to the dentist.

The Baer family would like to thank Dr. Hartman and Dr. Gyuricza for the excellent dental health care since 1991/1992. They not only care about your dental health, but they care about your total well-being. The entire staff and all the dental hygienist are extremely friendly, professional, compassionate and supportive. Dr. Hartman has a great "bedside manner". So does her hygienist Selma, They explained everything to me as went along and what we needed to do to get me well. The front desk (Brooke and Company) called me by name and was even cognizant of the time I spent inside. This was a referral for me from a friend but I will be going back again :-)

My wife has been a patient of Dr. Hartman for years. I retired from the Air Force last fall, and had my first exam with Dr. Hartman today. My family and I have been a patient of Dr. Gyuricza, Dr. Hartman, and Dr. Anderson for over twenty years. Today was the first time that I came to the office for Dental work since COVID. Dr. Hartman is an excellent dentist. She is exceptionally skilled in her profession and is capable, congenial and welcoming to her patients. I find the staff to be knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Selma is the hygienist I see most often and she is simply fantastic and does a great job. I am long time patient of this practice but this was my first time back since all the new COVID protocols were put in place. They are doing a wonderful job. Every step of the process was well thought out and well executed. I did felt very safe and comfortable and of course the actual dental portion of the visit was stellar as usual. Recommend highly.

I have been a patient with Gyuricza & Hartman dentistry for the past 3 years. Today, Dr. Hartman began a crown preparation procedure on me. While the COVID-19 precautions taken seemed appropriate, the care I received by Dr. Hartman impressed beyond my expectations. Her chair- side manner, explanations and actual work set me at ease and made the overall experience far less tramatic and less painful than I anticipated.
