Charles H. Sacks, DMD, was born in Philadelphia, raised in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of Wissahickon High School. He then went on to obtain a B.S. Degree in Psychology from Temple University, a M.S. Degree in Biology from Drexel University and his DMD Degree from Temple University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Carlos Mirabal DMD was born in Havana, Cuba. In 1994, he moved to Miami, Florida with his sister, Dr. Beatriz Mirabal Garces, where he completed his Bachelors in Biology at Florida International University.
Dr. Abby Auerbach was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Philadelphia and Elkins Park, PA. She received her B.S. in Education from Temple University and a DMD from Temple University School of Dentistry.

Dr. Sacks began his professional career in Spring House, PA, when he joined the practice of Dr. Ralph MacMurtrie (who had been in practice in Spring House since 1955). Dr. Sacks purchased Dr. MacMurtries practice in 1986. Both doctors worked together until Dr. MacMurtries retirement in 1993.
Dr. Sacks is married to his wife, Linda. They have two sons. Dr. Sacks is an avid fitness advocate, loves boating, the ocean and traveling. He has been inducted into the Wissahickon School District Hall of Fame.
Dr. Sacks keeps his knowledge of the latest dental technology current by annually attending more than 50 hours of continuing education in the field of dentistry and associated services. He is skilled in all phases of dentistry but primarily focuses his practice in cosmetic dentistry, fixed prosthodontics and implant dentistry. Dr. Sacks also utilizes the E4D technology producing crowns, inlays and onlays for a patient within one (1) dental visit instead of multiple visits to the dental office.
Dr. Sacks has made Gwynedd Dentals goal to bring the most progressive dental care and treatment methodologies to all of the patients by constantly updating the equipment and education of his staff so that all of our patients receive the best
He then moved to Philadelphia to attend Temple University School of Dentistry. He obtained his Dental Medicine Degree in May of 2004 and has been actively involved in private practice. He is also a part-time faculty member at Temple University.

Horrific experience of a crown on my front tooth. Dr. Sacks let me leave the office in tears and was happy with his work even though he knew I hated it. Refused to give me a refund. He did offer to replace the crown but it's beyond me why he thought I would let him anywhere near my mouth again after doing such a horrible job the first time that he found acceptable. Dental work is a rough enough experience to begin with let alone having to walk around with a front tooth not matching your other one because your dentist doesn't care.

Please be careful about this practice. If something doesn't seem right, please seek a second opinion. They noticed something abnormal on my x-ray, assumed it was infection, and repeatedly treated with antibiotics over a long period of time. I believed what they told me, but after deciding to get a second opinion on the ongoing pain and swelling, I was diagnosed with an Osteosarcoma, a cancer diagnosis that should have been caught from the start. I've had to undergo multiple surgeries that could have been avoided, and I am now in and out of the hospital every other month for scans, which is clearly not ideal during this COVID pandemic. This could have been avoided had my abnormal xrays and symptoms not been continuously ignored. Steer clear!

Dr Sacks and his crew are wonderful. I had a dental emergency and he opened his office for me. They were exceptionally conscientious with sanitizing the room and everything else. They took care of my problem in one sitting because he conveniently has a lab on site. He is an excellent dentist and a caring person. I recommend him highly.

My dentist of 20 plus years told me I had two cavities before he retired. I went to Gwynedd Dental Associates and told them I had two cavities, they told me I did not have any cavities!!! I was so thankful to find an honest dentist! They also have in house dental insurance, which is great. I have been there three years now and do not have one bad thing to say. All the hygienists are great, they use a numbing agent when they do the cleanings and Dr. Carlos is the best!!!

I love Gwynedd Dental. I spent a few years not going to a dentist because I was just plain old afraid. My first visit was with Kate, I told her that I was afraid, she moved slowly and explained everything to me and it changed my entire fears about dentists. That was 5 years ago! The front desk is always helpful. Dr. Mirabel and Dr. Sacks are amazing. They just made my most recent (major) procedure look like a piece of cake, explained everything to me and I was pain free. That is major! Thank you Gwynedd Dental for providing top notch quality dentistry for my entire family!

I have alway had nothing but an amazing experience since I have been going here. These guys are professionals and always give A PLUS/100 percent service. I have been with Gwynedd Dental for five years and every visit is better than the last. Ms. Jackie and Ms. Linda have been amazing at receiving patients and working with their files and insurance plans to help satisfy the patients wishes. The dental staff are the best in Philadelphia, Ambler, Blue Bell, and the rest of the surrounding area. Every hygienist gives me superb advice and always let me know how I can improve oral health based off of knowledge they've gained through on going education! I'm always impressed. Dr. Sachs has a really good team that he works with. He himself is a very friendly, outgoing, and meticulous professional! He knows how to make every patient feel like they're VIP and that they're valued. The waiting room is always stocked with coffee and teas and water and hot chocolate as well as great reading material. The art work is amazing and very stunning. I've never been in such a comfortable dental office. I'm more than blessed to have been pointed in the direct of this office.

I have been coming to Gwynedd Dental for over 30 years. They are a wonderful practice that knows their patients. When I call, they know the name of my wife, kids and grand kids off the top of their heads. I'd swear they have a computer program that instantly spits that info out when I call except I can call from work or any other number and they know. I have sent many friends and family to them and they are all impressed. Today I had my regular cleaning by Lisa who as been there for 24 years. She was friendly and competent. Dr Sacks is more than a dentist. I count him as a friend. Several years ago, he even came to celebrate my son's graduation from College. I wholeheartedly recommend Gwynedd Dental. You will be glad you went.

I switched to gwynedd dental since it was close to my house. From the moment I went there, I all of a sudden had issues with my teeth. They said I needed to have a cavity refilled. They removed the filling, then they said I need a root canal or the tooth removed. Mind you, I never one had an issue with my tooth. I had been back to the dentist for 5 weeks in a row. My sister had a similar situation when she went in with tooth pain. They told her she needed the tooth extracted. Fortunately, she never followed through. Ends up being, she had a sinus infection and was fine after one dose of antibiotics.
