She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Northern District Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontics, and American board of Periodontolgy. She lectures frequently around the country, and has been granted a professorship at New York University.
Dr. Greenwald is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Southern Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantalogists and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
In his spare time, Dr. Greenwald enjoys tennis, golf, skiing, fishing, and physical fitness. He is also an avid musician and patron of the arts. He plays the banjo and enjoys bluegrass as well as other music of all kinds, from jazz to pop to classical music. He has been a board member of the Gwinnett County Philharmonic and a supporter of the Aurora Theater in Lawrenceville, GA.
Dr. Kancherla is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. A Diplomate is a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty and who is certified by the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Kancherla has been in practice for 8 years, working in Philadelphia and upstate New York before settling down in Atlanta with her husband and son.
Tina is a Georgia native from Savannah, earned her degree from Georgia Perimeter College, Dunwoody, Ga. She loves educating patients about their oral health and how it affects the entire body. She enjoys helping patients to improve his/her quality of life by educating them on dental implants. She enjoys gardening, sewing, crafts, reading, and on her off days she enjoys spending time on the lake with her family. Tina enjoys being a wellness advocate of essential oils.
Matilde is our Sterilization and Quality Authority Assistant. She is originally from New Jersey but moved to Georgia 14 years ago. She has worked in dentistry for over 20 years. Matilde is married with two children and two lovely granddaughters and one grandson. She loves to read, cook and travel on her off time with family.
Kimberly entered dentistry as a second career more than 17 years ago as a Lead Surgical assistant. She goes out of her way to create nurturing, trusting and optimistic relationship with our patients to ensure the best specialty care and treatment available in all phases. Born in Miami, Florida Kimberly is married with one son who practices Law in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. Kimberly is also an Esthetician with her own spa which she does on her spare time.
Dionne is one of our Registered Dental Hygienist. She was born in Georgia, raised in Snellville and graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Georgia Perimeter College with a Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She is licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina. She is current on new technologies, dental hygiene products and attends continuing education classes regularly. She focuses on high quality care and patient education, helping patients maintain good oral and overall health. She is committed to making your experience as comfortable and positive as possible. Dionne loves spending time with her family and friends, baking and traveling.
Yuliet moved to the United States from Venezuela in August 2017, where she attended the Central University of Venezuela to become a dentist and also received a degree as a Dental Hygienist. She started her work of being a dental assistant shortly after her arrival in the United States and has worked for 2 years alongside various doctors as a surgical assistant. She is fluent in both Spanish and English, and adores treating patients with care and making them feel as comfortable as possible. In her spare time she loves to watch movies and being outdoors.
Christopher was born and raised here in Lilburn, GA. He attended Kennesaw State University where he completed his Bachelor of Science in 2007. He later returned to his roots in Gwinnett County where he resides with his wife of 10 years and his three beautiful children. Christopher joined our team in January 2018 and instantly became part of the family. With over 20 years of customer service, Christopher blends right into our positive work environment. He loves the privilege of helping our patients fit their beautiful smiles into their budget. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, working out, helping others reach their goals, and watching sports.

I was scheduled for a consultation, but I opted to cancel my appt due to the rudeness of employee, Amber. She was abrasive in her tone. The entire phone call was unpleasant. I'm thankful that this encountered happened before I drove an hour for a consultation. #Unprofessional

Dr Schiffer, Ray, Chris and the entire team at Gwinnett Dental are total rock stars!! I was not the easiest patient...otherwise known as high maintenance, lol. Despite that, their unwavering dedication, professionalism, 'bedside manner' and attention to detail, made my experience and the end result, beyond my expectations!! I love my new smile!! If you are in the market for dental implants, bypass all the others (I had 4 prior consultations elsewhere) and come to the Atlanta home of D5 in Gwinnett. Nobody does it more precisely, high tech and comfortably, than Dr Schiffer's team.

Go anywhere else but don't make the same mistake I made - don't go to Gwinnett Dental Implant/Periodontal Center. Not only do tissue grafts not work but it is a painful, long process. For your first appointment they bring you in the office and fully evaluate your personal situation. After getting your insurance information, they make you pre-pay half of your bill before the actual procedure. Next, you have to schedule the procedure and they have very limited hours so in my case, the first available was 3 weeks out. After finally getting my procedures I had to wait 4 weeks to get my stitches removed. Removing the stitches after four weeks was painful because my gum tissue grew over the stitches. But they ripped them out instead of offering dissolving stitches. That was not fun. In addition to all these appointments each time I went their office staff charge my insurance more and more money. Two years later my gums are exactly the same as they were before I had the procedure done. Don't go through the pain for something that doesn't work. If you have recession in your gums don't waste your money or time at Gwinnett Dental Implant & Periodontal Center. I just had a new, less evasive procedure for my gums at Peach State Laser Periodontics & Implants and my gums are beautifully healed and all tooth root pain is gone. Make the right choice and do NOT go to Gwinnett Dental Implants & Periodontal Center!

I am 75 yrs old, and have a tremendous fear of Dentists, their office and everyone in their office. I must admit that my visit to Gwinnett Dental Implant & Periodontal Center was the easiest and most calm Dentist appointment I have ever had with a dentist facility. Dr. Schiffer, DOC and Dionne, RDH were so kind and understanding about my fear. Both of them talked to me, explained exactly what they were doing before they did it. I have been going to Dentists offices for years, and I have never felt so comfortable and safe. I felt they were there for me. I will forever be grateful. Thank you, Dr. Schiffer and Dionne. I must speak about how great my dentist's Dr. Melody Schiffer and the whole staff that works at this office once again. This place has been part of my life since the year 2015 when I got a full upper and lower dental implants which changed my life for the better. So, this time I had to leave even a greater review it is now the year 2022 and after 7 years later I had to reach out to my dentist office for an emergency procedure I needed done and I was devastated, because it was two days before my son's wedding. I do not know where you go get your dental work done but I said it in the year 2015 and I am standing behind even stronger in 2022 this is the best place to go if you are considering dental work most of all dental implants. Doctor Schiffer is the best!!! she did not hesitate along with the technician (Ray)who is awesome they help me in such short notice by putting me on their busy schedule. These two people went way and beyond and repaired my smile back with confidence of looking beautiful in time for my son's wedding. I cannot express my gratitude enough of how than and still now the life changes this dentist office have blessed me. Thank you and I thank God especially for Doctor Schiffer, Ray and all the others team workers there Matilda, Chris, the new team members I meet Amber, Michelle also you too Kim.
