Dr. Adairdescribes his orthodontic philosophy as holistic with an emphasis on overall health while focusing on facial and dental esthetics. He loves the technical challenges that orthodontics offers as well as the artistic touch to create dazzling smiles, all while striving to improve the health of his patients. Dr. Adair actively teaches his unique philosophy and techniques to other doctors so that they can help their patients as well.
Dr. Adair enjoys being involved in the community. He has sponsored and been involved with many local activities like the Turkey Trot, Little League, Football, Cheerleading, Band, Soccer, Fun Runs, as well as events that help provide care like Give Kids a Smile and Candy Buy Backs. Dr. Adair feels these events are an opportunity to express gratitude for the communitys support.
Dr. Adair graduated from UCSF School of Dentistry in 1998. He then practiced as a general dentist for nine years and taught at the University of the Pacific Dental School (UOP), before realizing that orthodontics was his passion. He sold his general practice and attended UOP School of Dentistry for his Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr.Adairhas enjoyed teaching throughout his career. He taught with the International Association of Orthodontics (IAO), at UOP Dental School and Orthotropics with the Hang Mini Residency. In addition, Dr. Adair has Co-Founded a collaborative study club, Team Airway Study Club. The goal of this group is to work with numerous different health care providers to deliver exceptional, overall care for our patients and advance our knowledge and understanding of airway issues. Dr. Adair has conducted research at both undergraduate and graduate levels at UC Davis, UC San Francisco, and UOP. At GV Smiles Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, Dr.Adairfollows an airway-friendly philosophy. His approach evaluates the airway and facial balance of each person while creating exceptional faces and gorgeous smiles.
Dr.Adairis active in professional organizations and is currently President of the North American Association of Facial Orthotropics as well as occupying numerous board positions in a number of organizations. Dr. Adair is currently a member of the International Association of Orthodontics, the International Association for Facial Growth Guidance, the California Dental Association, the Napa Solano Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontists, and many others. Staying active in dental societies and charitable organizations is an important outlet for Dr. Adair to give back to the community. He routinely supports local schools and many activities such as the Solano Turkey Trot, Fun Runs, Cheerleading, etc.
We are thrilled to have Dr. Andrew Lam as a crucial member of our pediatric team at GV Smiles Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. Dr. Lam earned his Bachelors degree at California State University, Northridge. He then received his dental degree from Roseman University of Health Sciences in Utah. Dr. Lam completed his General Practice Residency in Bangor, Maine.
Dr. Lam is passionate about preventative care for kids. He partners with parents to provide oral hygiene awareness to prevent tooth decay and promote excellent oral health. He loves creating a positive experience for children to lessen dental anxiety. Dr. Lam finds great joy in being part of a childs life and treasures the trust that is placed in him. His desire for an increase in quality of life, community involvement, and outstanding dental care fuels his love of pediatric dentistry.
On a personal note, Dr. Lam loves spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid snowboarder, having logged more than 100 days during one season! During his stay in Maine, he completed his first running event ever in the Mount Desert Island Marathon. Dr. Lam also enjoys hiking, photography, traveling, and reading books whenever possible.
Kimberly went on to obtain a Certificate in Dental Assisting, Radiology, Coronal Polish, CPR and Ultrasonic scaling in the removal of dental cements. In the fall of 2005 she passed her state boards and became a Registered Dental Assistant with the state of California. By the time her braces were off, Kimberly was already assisting her own patients with the same comfort and support she received during her treatment.
During her career as an RDA, Kimberly has seen many families smiles take shape. She has also been lucky enough to attend many Continuing Education courses all over the Western United State, Hawaii being her favorite. She enjoys learning new ideas, techniques and technology that comes out every year.
Kimberly has been with Green Valley Orthodontics since the opening day, May 2011. She has obtained many new skills in the process. Not only does she assist with the patients during treatment, but she can also help answer many questions about financial arrangements and insurance coverage.
You can find Kimberly working in her yard, trying new recipes and getting her hands dirty under the hood. A good challenge should never stop you. Her favorite time is with her family. Kimberly has two great kids and many pets. They enjoy scenic trips, going to the beach, cuddling on the couch with a movie and having fun trying something new.
Ashley was born in Michigan, but spent most of her life in the Napa, Fairfield area. Since her mom is an orthodontic assistant, Ashley has spent many years absorbing orthodontic knowledge and helping out at orthodontic events. You may have seen Ashley helping out at one of our yearly parties: face painting or participating with us at the annual Turkey Trot.
The opportunity to work for Green Valley Orthodontics and assisting Dr. Adair with our patients has given Ashley more time to further her education. Ashley is majoring in nutrition at Solano Community College.
When Ashley is not working with our team or attending school, she enjoys crocheting, Netflix and online gaming. She also has a big heart for animals. She has a husky named Duke, a corn snake named Valentine and a fish named Fishy. If you have any questions about PC games or have a cute animal pic to share, Ashley would love to hear about it.
Lisa was born and raised in the Fairfield / Vallejo area, where she now raises her 9-year old daughter, Cadence. At a young age, Lisa experienced a dental injury that made her become interested in the dental field. After graduating from Rodriguez High School, Lisa enrolled into a Dental Assisting Program. While enrolled in the program, she began working part time as a dental assistant until she completed the course in 2010. She has worked in the dental field (mainly in Pediatric Dentistry) for over 10 years. In Lisas spare time, you can find her out and about with her 9-year old playing Pokemon GO looking for Pokemon, Pokeballs, and the notorious Team Rocket. They love to visit Mickey and his pals at their Disneyland home a few times a year Especially during the Halloween season. When theyre not looking for pokemon, or visiting Disneyland, you can find Lisa baking Filipino style desserts for her family.
Ashley started her work in health care as a medical assistant before finding her way to dentistry. Dental Assisting has become a family tradition, along with her sister Brianna, whom youll see around the office she also has another sister that is a dental assistant. Growing up she always loved to go to the dentist and oral hygiene was always important to her. Once she started dental assisting school she quickly fell in love with the field. She excelled in school and really enjoyed working with her hands. Ashley loves the unique challenges of working with children.
On her free time she enjoys being with her family and friends. Ashley loves the outdoors and likes to go camping. She has volunteered several times with a local schools outdoor school as a camp counselor. Ashleys absolute favorite thing to do on her free time is cuddle up on her couch, binge watching shows and movies on Netflix and Disney+ with some popcorn on the side. Ashley is pretty much obsessed with all things Disney so feel free to chat her up on that.
Lidia has worked as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) for over 15 years. She started her dental career in General Dentistry but felt an urge to try something different and she moved to pediatrics. Once she started working with children she knew she found her passion and where she belonged. Kids are great patients and have an amazing sense of humor. Its never a dull day when you work with children!
On her free time she loves to spend time with her wonderful family that includes her husband, two daughters, and two small dogs (Sebi and Noodle). They thoroughly enjoy each others company and love just hanging out together. One of their favorite family activities is going to the movies, where they spend a lot of time. They are cinematic fans and, while they dont have a specific genre, they tend to gravitate towards actions and comedies. Another family favorite is going to Disneyland as often as possible. Feel free to talk all things Disney or the latest movie releases.
Sarah was born and raised in the South Eastern part of the USA and is a recent transplant to the Bay Area and California. She moved here with her new husband and two stepdaughters that were originally from California. Sarah has worked in a Pediatric, Orthodontic and Dental offices for several years back when she lived in South Carolina. She loves the chance to create lasting relationships with children and their families.
When not working Sarah has been enjoying the constant adventure of exploring this beautiful part of California and getting settled with her new family. Sarah also enjoys painting, experimenting with new recipes and spending time with family and friends. If you need a good recipe for chicken bog, tomato pie or pimento cheese, shes your girl. In her free time you can find her in her art room, in the garden or out at the grill with her family. If you hear a random yall at the office, yalll know where it came from!
