Making people smile is one of the things Dr. Guymon enjoys doing most. He believes that everyone deserves a chance to smile. A smile is a positive change in a persons life and Dr. Guymon considers it a privilege to be able to provide that. This is why he pursued a career in orthodontics.
Dr. Guymon is a native of Cache Valley, graduating from Mountain Crest High School. After graduation he served a mission to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Belarus. Speaking Russian allowed him to enjoy all four countries. He graduated from Utah State University with a Business Administration degree. Dr. Guymon graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He graduated #1 in his Dental Class of 96 students. The last stop on his educational journey was the University of Iowa for a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters Degree in Science.
When not in the office straightening teeth Dr. Guymon loves being outdoors. Spending time fishing and horse riding are what he enjoys most. Lots of time is spent with his family at the baseball diamond. Dr. Guymon and his wife, Katrina, have three sons and a daughter.
We are all here because we love what we do, and more importantly, who we do it with. We consider ourselves lucky. Lucky to work with each other. Lucky to work with Dr. Guymon. And most importantly, lucky to work with our patients. Seeing each of our patients once a month has led to many great relationships over the years, and were always looking forward to building the next one. Theres nothing quite like watching someone grow happier and build confidence with each visitespecially when they finally see that perfect smile that weve been working on together. I work chairside with our doctor, providing whatever assistance is required to make the procedure run smoothly. At the same time, Im focused on our patient, talking with them about what the doctor is doing, offering reassurance and encouragement if theyre concerned, and cracking jokes to keep them entertained.
I love seeing the relief on a parents face, when they realize that they can afford orthodontic care for their child. I coordinate insurance and financial arrangements. I work with parents to find a payment schedule that works with their family budget, ensuring that the patient can start treatment when they most need it.
I take X-rays, impressions, and photos. Since I spend less hands-on time I am able to spend extra time catching up with our patients. I love hearing their stories about school, the recent home game, or their latest-greatest adventure.
As an Orthodontic Assistant I work closely with Dr. Guymon and our patients when we install and remove their braces, as well as making adjustments over the course of treatment. I have worked as an Orthodontic Assistant for the last five years and I have enjoyed every minute of it! Working with patients and their families to create new, beautiful smiles is a very rewarding experience, particularly in this warm and friendly practice.
I have been working for Dr. Guymon for 12 years. I assist with braces installation, as well as de-banding. In addition, I take x-rays, and make retainers. Im lucky. I spend lots of time with our patients. I have really enjoyed and seeing their great smiles. I speak Spanish, and occasionally have the opportunity to translate! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my son and my three daughters.

Best orthodontist!!!! My daughter and I love Dr. Guymon and the staff. My daughter and I drive from West Jordan just so we can continue getting the best treatment for my Daughter. We feel like everyone there actually listens to our opinion and then educates us on what our options are so we can make a tailored plan that works for us both.

I haven't finished my braces yet so I'll definitely add/update then but so far Dr. Guymon has been amazing. I have had braces for about 2 years (I had to have an oral surgery for one adult tooth that didn't come down) and he has always been super helpful and nice. I love going in for the check-ups and getting my new bands (he has lots of cool colors); the techs are always nice and try to be super gentle anytime a tooth is extra sensitive. Basically, I was worried about getting braces as an adult and not only have they alleviated all my worries but have made it pretty fun along the way. I would 100% recommend Guymon Orthodontics to anyone looking to get braces.

My appointments have been quick, generally with not more than a minute or two wait before hand. His staff has been super friendly and are so good to help or offer suggestions. Dr. Guymon has surrounded himself with good people! :-) Honestly, I was skeptical about the validity of the Invisiline claims but so far have been happy with the results.

Staff is friendly, calling you by name (because they know you, not because they're holding your chart). Great training is provided when there's a change, like getting bands. Dr Guymon is so professional, compassionate, and personable. 100% recommend this office!

Dr Guymon's entire staff was wonderful. At 53 I never thought I'd be getting braces and they all made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. This journey will be enjoyable with Dr Guymon and his staff.

The orthodontist is great but this is the third time I've seen people in the waiting room without masks on. This makes me feel unsafe, especially with my child inside (and obviously you cannot wear a mask while having your braces worked on). It makes me wonder if they don't actually believe in science or if the receptionist just doesn't care. I wait in the car, but if a father and his son are sitting in the waiting area without masks (this happened yesterday), and my child is inside, I cannot be sure they are virus free and not contaminating the entire small area. This is negligent disregard for the health of Guymon's clients and their families.

Dr.Guymon and his staff are incredibly friendly. When my son (Ben) started coming to you about 6 months ago to get braces, I thought he would be a little nervous, that wasn't the case though. Dr. Guymon was recommended by Ben's dentist, Andrew Olson? I wouldn't have asked for friendly and caring staff at Dr. Russ Guymon. Go Smiles!

Very friendly staff. We never have to wait more than 5 minutes when we arrive. I got braces put on a few years ago and now my daughter has hers from Dr. Guymon. Highly recommend!!
