Dr. Garret Guthrie grew up in Wichita, Kansas where he first began taking an interest in dentistry. Dr. Guthrie moved to Kansas City to complete his Bachelor degree in chemistry at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). He also participated in the UMKC athletics program as a member of the soccer team where he served as captain his senior year. Dr. Guthrie received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UMKC School of Dentistry and has enjoyed being a member of the dental community ever since. Dr. Guthrie has a passion for providing dental services to the underserved. He currently provides care to patients at the Mission of Hope Clinic in Raytown and has participated as a provider in community outreach events with the Missouri Mission of Mercy. Additionally, Dr. Guthrie spends some of his weekends traveling to Missouri military bases to provide dental care to members of the armed services.
Dr. Guthrie still enjoys playing soccer and being outdoors. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wonderful daughter Gracyn and beautiful wife Kendall, who he is sure you will see around the office from time to time. Kendall grew up in the small community of Odessa, MO where she also developed an interest in healthcare. As a pharmacist, Kendall shares a passion for service and helping improve community health. The Guthries are excited to be a part of the Grain Valley community and hope Guthrie Family Dental is a valuable resource for you and your family.
Dani is a big part of the team at Guthrie Family Dental! She will most likely be one of the first team members you encounter when you call or come in. She takes great pride in her hob and will make you feel like part of the family. Every person is unique and Dani loves getting to hear everyones story. She will be your main contact for insurance and financial questions.
When she is not working hard at the office, she loves spending time with her four year old daughter, Blaire and her newborn son, Ryder! Dani grew up on Air Force bases across the country and has a very diverse background from those experiences. She now calls Grain Valley home with her husband, Cameron and their two children.
Kaylee has been with Guthrie Family Dental since 2018! She grew up in Wellington, Missouri where she attended elementary through high school. Kaylee graduated from Concorde Career College as Dental Assistant and has been a member of our staff ever since. Growing up, Kaylee got excited every time she went to visit the dentist-so much so that she was convinced a career in dentistry would be a great fit at an early age.
What Kaylee enjoys most about working in the dental field is having a positive impact on her patients confidence through improving the appearance of their smiles. Outside of work, you can usually find Kaylee spending time with her family!
Rhyannon is the newest member of our Guthrie Family Dental team, she has been a great addition to our hygiene team! She grew up in Odessa, Missouri where she currently lives. Rhyannon attended Dental Hygiene school at Concorde Career College - Kansas City where she received her dental hygiene degree. She has always been interested in the healthcare field and loves making people feel more confident in their smile. Rhyannon enjoys developing relationships with her patients and making everyone feel at home at our office. You can count on her to help you achieve your best smile!
Cate will be another new face you will see at our office, she has been with Guthrie Family Dental since 2020. She grew up in Hannibal, Missouri and now lives in Lees Summit. She graduated from Blue Springs High school. Cate has been in the dental for a year now, and has also worked in pediatric dentistry. She first became interested in the dental field after she had her wisdom teeth extracted and felt she could provide positive experiences for patients as her doctor did for her!

Great Staff and Dr. Guthrie is an excellent Dentist. All staff are friendly, kind, supportive and professional. I love Guthrie Dental and would recommend it to everyone needing Dental Care. I just can't say enough about Guthrie Dental!! Excellence is the adjective that best applies to Dr. Guthrie and assistants, receptionists and all other staff. My new beautiful teeth are such a boost to my self esteem and I now smile all the time!! Dr. Guthrie assured me that I am welcome anytime to call the office should I have any issues and that I will be seen anytime!! Love, love, love Guthrie Dental!!!

Dr Guthrie saw that I had a fever blister during my regular 6 month check up and gave me a laser treatment for it during my visit without having to schedule another visit! The dental hygienist was very nice and quick. My appointment took less than an hour!

Had my 6 month check up . Everything went smoothly, good communication before and after . The assistant who cleaned was so gentle ! The dentist explained some areas of concern but is not "pushing for business" . Girl at front desk is super sweet and friendly . The only thing I can complain about is ... I always get an orange toothbrush , which is my least favorite color. lol (I have 8 family members who now come here since my son in law had his first visit and was happy with this practice.)

It can be overwhelming and intimidating finding a new dentist, but this office exceeded our expectations! Wonderful front desk reception, nice, friendly staff, clean, beautiful office, state of the art technology and a caring, professional dentist who believes in giving back. We were so impressed, and we are here to stay!

I was very impressed w my first visit to Guthrie dental. I really liked my dental technician she was very professional along w Dr Guthrie. I think the thing that impressed me most was the fact they are not corporate but family owned. The fact that kids are welcome and present. One of the granddaughters was there. She was the sweetest lil thing. Everyone made me feel very comfortable, informed and welcomed. They answered all my questions and believe me I'm not the easiest customer at times . I know I'll be going there from now on to get my teeth worked on. I left with a plan to fix two broken teeth and was explained in plain English how my medicare will pay half. Great job Guthrie family dental. I've been looking for a new dentist for a while. Looking forward to many yrs to come if great service.

Went in for a filling, and describing the pain I was feeling. Took a few x-rays. And instead of going straight for the filling, explored the area to make sure that the pain I was feeling was consistent with the work I was getting done. They made sure that the treatment was going to be a permanent fix and not something I was going to have to address again later. When I got the injection for numbing, it was the most painless injection I've ever had at a dentist office. Exceeded the expectations, and also the experiences I've had at other offices.
