The technician who cleaned my teeth today was extremely gentle and the doctor always explains the options before treatment. I highly recommend this practice if you are searching for quality dental care.

The Guthries have an amazing dental practice. They are kind and totally professional - they have cutting edge technologies. For example, I needed a crown. Dr. Rick measured with his computer and crafted a new crown -- right there in their lab; a permanent crown - no temporaries needed. I am delighted and grateful! carolynn bailey

I grew up going to Guthrie Dentists for over 50 years and they're very professional. When I moved back to Bristol after 20 years they are the only dentists I would go to, and they welcomed me back. The whole staff are great.

You will not find a dentist with more state of the art equipment or better chair side manners than Guthrie Dentistry (a family business). They make their own crowns, so they were able to put my crown in the same day they prepped my tooth. No temporaries! No waiting! Let that sink in...

Guthrie Dentistry is a fantastic practice. Doctors Guthrie are professional, highly knowledgeable, current on the latest technologies, and care deeply about their patients. Staff is excellent. Facilities are clean, modern and state-of-the-art. Best. Dentists. Ever. I look forward to seeing my dentist.

The most courteous and friendly staff ever! I needed to fix a chip in my tooth and called to set up an appointment and the staff got me in quickly. I am very pleased to say that I love going to see Rick and his staff as they are always so friendly! I Highly recommend them as a family dentistry.

I have never been to a more amazing dentistry in my life. Not only was the dentist who took care of me super nice and amazing the whole staff where. I will go nowhere else but here. If this place ever closes I guess my teeth will go under. Thank you to the amazing staff here. Also if you are reading this call them in advance for an Appointment they get busy quick!

Never thought I would be saying this about a dental appointment, but I truly had a fantastic experience at Guthrie Dentistry! Dr Van Guthrie and his entire staff are just fantastic and made the entire experience both comfortable and pleasant. I would highly recommend this office to anyone and have already done so several times since my last appointment, just a couple of weeks ago.

Very professional and thorough. Very good at teaching the right way to take care of your teeth. Very friendly and nice. UPDATE 7-11-22 I've been going here now for awhile, Margaret is my hygienist she showed me the very first time exactly HOW to brush and for how long....I know this sounds rediculous that at 60 some years old you'd think I'd know this by now ... although my teeth wasn't in bad shape starting to do it the right way and flossing at least twice a day it takes less time for her to do my cleaning, my gums are in better shape and flossing has become a wonderful habit. Thank you Margaret

The staff, Dental Assistant and Dr. Van were all wonderful with me at my visit yesterday. I have HIGH anxiety about having dental work done and they truly took their time and showed outstanding patience with me. Thank you all for your care and support!!!

I scheduled an appointment online with Guthrie Dentistry. I had not used their services before, but they were near my home & had excellent reviews. I printed all the online forms & completed them in anticipation of my visit later that week. I received a call the following day from their office explaining their first available appointment was a couple weeks off, not when I had scheduled online. I agreed to the new date & the appointment was scheduled. I then received the request & link to complete the forms online. I took a deep breath & completed all the forms online which I had already printed & filled out at home. A day or so before my appointment I received a text message from someone named Stevie inquiring about a 9:40am appointment. There was nothing to identify Guthrie Dentistry so I called the office to see if it was from them & it was. At this point I was wondering how they received such good reviews. I arrived at the office about 5 minutes before my appointment & checked in at the counter where they took my photo & told me to have a seat. The waiting room was open & bright. It was less than 10 minutes & I was on my way back to the exam room. The tech was friendly & welcoming & did a great job. My dentist was Van Guthrie. He looked at the x-rays sent from ETSU Dental Hygiene Clinic & physically examined the 2 teeth that were indicated as having decay by ETSU. He explained that he agreed with one area of decay but said the other area merely had an irregular crown margin with no decay. He said he could easily do the filling at that time & I was grateful I wouldn't have to return for the work which is why I left my last dentist. When the procedure was complete, Dr Guthrie answered a question I had about fluoride rinses & left the room. The tech provided the minimal instructions for my aftercare & a front office employee came in with a handheld, processed my credit card payment, gave me a receipt & escorted me to the door to the waiting room to exit. After the original scheduling issues, it turned out to be the quickest & easiest dental work I'd ever had done. I didn't even have pain the next day at the site of the injection to numb the area which I always do. Now I know how they've received all the 5 star reviews. I will definitely return to this dentist & would be confident recommending them to others.

It truly was a pleasure to visit Guthrie Dentistry. From the moment you walk in until you leave, you can feel the caring attitudes of each person you meet that is employed there.
