Dr. Gupta did not know he wanted to be an orthodontist until after hed workfor a year at IBM as a computer engineer. During his time at IBM he realized that he wanted to be in a profession that gave him the opportunity to work with people in his community, and help give them a beautiful smile they would enjoy for the rest of their lives.

Dr. Gupta was raised in Michigan and attended the University of Michigan where he graduated summacum laude with a B.S.E. in computer engineering. He was named a Lucent Technologies Scholar. After graduation he worked for IBM as a computer engineer.

It was during his time with IBM that he realized his true calling was dentistry. Dr. Gupta scored in the 99th percentile on his dental admissions test and was accepted to the prestigious Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston.

After completing his Dental Medical Doctorate (D.M.D.) at Harvard and scoring one of the highest scores in the nation on his dental board exam, Dr. Gupta returned to the University of Michigan for a three-year residency to become a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. During his orthodontic residency, Dr. Gupta performed research that examined the airway in cleft lip and cleft palate patients using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master of Science in orthodontics.

Dr. Gupta is not only a specialist in orthodontics but is board certified in the specialty. He is aDiplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Only about 25% of all orthodontists are board certified.Certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics signifies a unique achievement:a large step beyond the three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics.

Candidates are required to demonstrate achievements in patient care, and provide detailed case reports on treatmentsfor a broad range of patient problems. Board certification is not required to be an orthodontist, but is a unique honor that follows a process inwhich an individual orthodontist is thoroughly examined by an expert panel with regard to orthodontic knowledge and clinical skills.

Dr. Gupta stays up to date on the latest advances in orthodontics by regularly attending national and international conferences. He is a member of the local chapter of the respected Seattle Study Club, in which he and other dental specialists and general dentists discuss complicated interdisciplinary cases. Continuing education empowers him to provide his patients with the best and most current care.

Dr. Gupta is originally from East Lansing. His wifeShailyis a physician, and they are blessed with beautiful twin daughters named Sanya and Saraya, and their son Dylan. Dr. Gupta likes to spend as much of his free time as possible with his family. His hobbies include photography, traveling, and exploring Texas.

Dr. Vick Gupta was born and raised in East Lansing, MI. He attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate degree where he studied Industrial and Operations Engineering. During his studies he found his passion for spreading smiles, which led him to realize his drive for a career in orthodontics. After graduating Cum Laude and scoring in the 100th Percentile on the Dental Admissions Test, he moved to New York City to attend the prestigious Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine.

At Columbia he excelled in leadership, residing on the Board of various research and philanthropic organizations. His achievements were recognized with numerous distinctions including the Dentsply Sirona Student Clinician Researcher Award. Dr. Gupta has co-authored several research papers including TMD research that was published in the peer-reviewed journal, Orthodontics & Craniofacial Research. In preparation for his orthodontic residency program Dr. Gupta scored nearly perfect on the Graduate Records Examination (GRE).

After receiving his DDS degree he moved to San Francisco to pursue his life-long dream of becoming an orthodontist at the University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry. At this cutting edge institution, Dr. Gupta was able to combine the advancements of Silicon Valley with the complexities of healthcare to deliver the most state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment. Here he received his Masters in Orthodontics with a specific focus on finding new treatment modalities to efficiently and effectively treat children in underserved populations. He is a board certified orthodontist and his passion for airway-focused treatment led him to attain the Qualified Dentist designation from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Gupta has been recognized for his contributions to Orthodontics by being cited in several online articles including those published on WebMD.

Sharon has almost 40 years of experience working in the field of orthodontics and is our treatment coordinator. She ensures that all new patients are taken care of from the moment they first walk into our practice. She can be found giving new patients a tour of our state-of-the-art clinic, taking patient records, and conducting new patient consults. Over the past many years, Sharon has held several positions in our office and has enjoyed each one greatly. Most of all, she enjoys getting to know our wonderful patients and helping them achieve a beautiful smile. Sharon feels like being a part of the Gupta Orthodontics Team is such a blessing as the patients are very well taken care of and treated like family.

Sharon is married, with grown children and grandchildren who live in Texas and Louisiana. She and her husband have a two Shih Tzus that they love, even if they dont realize they are dogs! In her free time, Sharon enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and anything outdoors.

Karen has been working in the field of orthodontics since 1975, when she started working for her orthodontist when she was a sophomore in high school. As financial coordinator, Karen is here to assist anyone who needs help understanding the many insurance policies that come with finding a great orthodontist! Her daily goal is to help you with any financial questions you may have. Karen enjoys watching patients smiles grow and seeing them gain confidence through the help of our amazing orthodontic team.

Candy started her orthodontic career in 1997, and spent many years as an assistant but currently works as our scheduling coordinator. You will find her at the front desk where she enjoys meeting patients and their families during their treatment time. She is married to her husband Mark and they have four kids. In her free time Candy enjoys taking her children to activities, being outdoors, eating out, and shopping!

Julie has been in the field for 15+ years and she loves what she does. She is a clinical orthodontic assistant and works directly with the patients. Julie enjoys meeting new people and loves sharing the journey of an enhanced smile! She is so grateful to be a part of something life-changing. Julie loves her family, especially her new grandson Hudson!! She is married to her high school sweetheart. She loves the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and Arkansas Razorbacks.

Sarah has been in the orthodontic field since 2012 and has loved every day of it! She is an orthodontic assistant and gets to work directly with our patients. She loves her job because at Gupta Orthodontics we are not just creating beautiful smiles, but also building self-confidence in every patient we see. Outside of work Sarah enjoys living in her RV with her family and pets.

Cynthia has been working in the orthodontic field since 2013. Her role is to assist the doctors in creating beautiful smiles for our patients. Knowing she played a part in making someones smile even more beautiful makes her love her job so much. Outside of work Cynthia loves cooking, spending time with family and watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys!

Diana is an orthodontic assistant and the 3D printing coordinator. Diana loves her job because it gives her the ability to help patients get the perfect smile they desire. Seeing their transformation from beginning to end is very satisfying for her. In her free time, Diana likes going out to have fun with her family and friends and trying new things

The day your braces are removed is a special day for all of us. We dedicate one day a month to removing braces. On this day, we have a themed party at the office, and bring in a professional photographer to capture your incredible new smile. We know youve put in a lot of time and effort to get to this day, and we want to make the celebration memorable!
