Dr. Mullenix attended the University of Alabama where he completed his undergraduate studies in three years. He received his DMD degreefrom the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center, where he graduated with Honors. He completed a six year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency while at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which included an MD degree.
Dr. Mullenix has been in private practice in Mobile, Alabama since the completion of his residency in 2002. He is aFellow in good standing with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
He is active in multiple professional societies at the national, state and local levels. He has served multiple leadership positions and is currently the President of the Alabama State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Mullenix has hospital privileges at Mobiles major medical centers and maintains an active hospital presence. His areas of interest and expertise are Facial Reconstruction, Facial Trauma, Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery and Dental Implant Surgery.
Aaron Wallender, DDS, MDis a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the only pediatric craniofacial surgeon in West Florida and South Alabama. Dr. Wallender attended the University of Missouri in Kansas City for dental school and the University of Kentucky for medical school. He completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Kentucky and followed by a fellowship in pediatric craniofacial surgery at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. Over the course of his training, Dr. Wallender has developed a passion for aiding children born with skull and facial deformities. He cares for multiple children in this region as medical director and craniofacial surgeon for the Gulf Coast Cleft and Craniofacial Team. Dr. Wallender also participates in multiple international cleft and craniofacial mission programs providing free care for the underserved in Vietnam, Honduras, Guatemala, and the Philippines. Dr. Wallender enjoys engaging his community and participating in civic service with his church body. He values time spent with his wonderful wife and 2-year-old daughter, and is an avid outdoor enthusiast. Dr. Michael Babston is an Alabama native, and cum laude graduate of Auburn University, where he obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. Upon graduation, he continued his studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry (UAB).
At the conclusion of dental school, he decided to further his training, and specialize in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He graduated from the UAB School of Medicine in 2014, and served as chief resident of the UAB Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program from 2016-2017.

Dr. Mullenix and his staff went over a beyond to make sure my daughter was comfortable during and after her procedure. I was pleased with everyone and how kind everyone was.

Had my wisdom teeth removed here a few months ago and Dr. Babston was a fantastic doctor. I just keep thinking about the girl who went over the cost and everything with us. She was okay to begin with but it definitely rubbed me the wrong way how her entire mood changed after we asked about financial plans. She was very judgmental and snobby. Sorry we don't all have $2000 laying around I guess.

The entire staff is very friendly and super helpful. My wife was really nervous about her surgery today and everyone took great care of her. She said it was super quick and I really loved how much Dr. Mullenix communicated with us both. Would definitely use him again if any other oral surgery is required.

Dr. Mullinex is hands down the best! The care and follow up just can't he expressed in words. He has patients in us for the rest of our lifes. My husband had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Mullinex. Two of my kiddos went in today. One more is scheduled for next Wednesday and the last three will see him eventually. We just can't stress it enough. Dr. Mullinex is the one to see!!!

Staff is nice an informative. Doctor mullinex is really a cool person, But when I was sent with my son to make the schedule & discuss money the woman that does the scheduling & Financials for surgeries was extremely rude and had an attitude! Really left me leaving there was a bad taste in my mouth. My son even said to me when we got to the car "wow that woman was really rude" so it wasn't just me evidently feeling that way. Bridget, now she was so sweet & really helped me. I give her a "10"

Got Wisdom teeth done here recently. Very beautiful building. Dr's are amazing. Loved Mr.Mullenix. took great care of me. But when we sat down to go over pricing and scheduling. The girl couldn't tell us anything. She was extremely snobby and acted like if we didn't have 2,500$ laying around we were poor. Then we proceeded to ask how much our insurance was gonna pay for. Well she assured us that we wouldn't know until the day of surgery and to just sign the document because all of the patients do it.
