Dr. Chad Gunnell, Graduated from Utah State University with a bachelors degree in Biology with an emphasis in Human Biology. He then attended Creighton University School of Dentistry from 2017-2021 where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree. Chad will be working in both locations (Hyrum and Logan) practicing all aspects of comprehensive general dentistry and enjoys seeing and caring for the people of Cache Valley. Chad is a member of the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Gunnell, his wife, Emilie, and their daughter Ellie, enjoyed living in Nebraska for 4 years, but are excited to be back home in Cache Valley with their family. Dr. Chad Gunnell enjoys making memories with his family, and being outside in the mountains that he missed while attending dental school.
Mindy has worked in Dentistry since 1982. She has worked in many different positions in the Dental Office from Chairside Assistant, Orthodontic Assistant to Office Manager. She brings years of knowledge and is able to help with any questions or concerns you may have. In her free time Mindy loves spending free time family and enjoys riding horses with her husband Rod.
Shalyn is one of our receptionists here at Gunnel Family Dentistry. Shalyn has worked here for 2 years as an assistant and now as a receptionist. Her favorite part about working here is interacting with all of our patients and meeting new people! When Shalyn isnt working she is playing with her 2-year-old daughter, mountain biking with her husband, hiking, and hanging out with friends and family.
Erin is happy to be a part of the team here at Gunnell Family Dentistry! Erin worked as an assistant in Virginia during 2020 and is now a receptionist in our office. She is a welcoming face when you come to visit! During her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband, rock climbing, and playing tennis.
Alissa completed her prerequisites at Utah State University, then graduated from the Utah College of Dental Hygiene with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. She loves getting to know our patients and really enjoys what she does. She enjoys hiking, skiing, basketball, biking, the outdoors and anything adventurous. She also loves playing the piano. Alissa recently got married in June of 2019 and loving the new fun adventures of life and spending time with friends and family.
McKenley is a Cache Valley native growing up in Smithfield. She graduated from the Utah College of Dental Hygiene with a bachelors degree in dental hygiene. She loves interacting with all of her patients and getting to know them. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband. They like to go mountain biking, skiing, being outdoors, and spending time with family.
Kyler enjoys working in the dental field. She is from Preston, Idaho. She currently lives in Preston and loves her job and commutes each day to assist with all our patients dental care needs. Kyler got married in February 2018 in Kauai. She always goes above and beyond to make our patients feel comfortable in the dental office. When Kyler is not working she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband mountain biking, hiking, and rock climbing.
Maddy graduated from Bridgerland Applied Technical College from the Dental Assisting program. Maddy knew she wanted to be in the dental field as long as she can remember. Maddy enjoys hunting, camping, being outdoors, and around friendsand family. She enjoys working and helping our patients feel comfortable and at ease.
Brooklyn is from Burley Idaho where she met her husband and have been married for 4 year. They have lived in the valley for 2 years where they have started up their own barbershop. Brooklyn is currently studying through BYU Idaho to get a degree in business management. Brooklyn always greets patients with a smile and is there to help anybody with anything. She enjoys creating relationships with the patients. When she is not at work she enjoys anything outside. Some of her favorite things she does are going to different hot springs, mountain biking, exercising, and being with family.
Charity grew up in Washington State and moved to Howell, Utah in High School. She has been married for almost 4 amazing years. After graduating at the Utah College of Dental Hygiene with Honors. Charity and her husband bought their first house in Downtown Logan and have really enjoyed being homeowners. Charity loves anything related to the outdoors; hiking, snowboarding, camping, mountain biking and trail running. Shes willing to try new things, adventures, and loves serving the people of Cache Valley in her profession as a dental Hygienist.
Ashley is one of our Dental Assistants here at Gunnell Family Dentistry. Ashley graduated from Bridgerland Technical College here in Logan and has been on our team for about 6 months. Her favorite part about working is getting to know the patients that come in, and making them feel welcome. She also enjoys helping patients feel more confident about the appearance of their teeth and loves to see a huge smile after an aesthetic case is completed for them. When Ashley isnt working, she can be found boating, horse riding, or just spending time with friends and family.
Kayla was born and raised in Decatur, IL, and just recently moved to Logan, UT. Kayla attended the Dental Assisting program at Heartland Community College in 2017 and has been working as an assistant since 2018. In her free time, Kayla likes to sing, be outdoors, and spend lots of time with hertwo-year-olddaughter Raielle. Kayla is excited for her new adventure in Utah and is looking forward to being a part of Gunnell Family Dentistry.
