Dr. Chad Gunnell, Graduated from Utah State University with a bachelors degree in Biology with an emphasis in Human Biology. He then attended Creighton University School of Dentistry from 2017-2021 where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree. Chad will be working in both locations (Hyrum and Logan) practicing all aspects of comprehensive general dentistry and enjoys seeing and caring for the people of Cache Valley. Chad is a member of the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Gunnell, his wife, Emilie, and their daughter Ellie, enjoyed living in Nebraska for 4 years, but are excited to be back home in Cache Valley with their family. Dr. Chad Gunnell enjoys making memories with his family, and being outside in the mountains that he missed while attending dental school.
Mindy has worked in Dentistry since 1982. She has worked in many different positions in the Dental Office from Chairside Assistant, Orthodontic Assistant to Office Manager. She brings years of knowledge and is able to help with any questions or concerns you may have. In her free time Mindy loves spending free time family and enjoys riding horses with her husband Rod.
Shalyn is one of our receptionists here at Gunnel Family Dentistry. Shalyn has worked here for 2 years as an assistant and now as a receptionist. Her favorite part about working here is interacting with all of our patients and meeting new people! When Shalyn isnt working she is playing with her 2-year-old daughter, mountain biking with her husband, hiking, and hanging out with friends and family.
Erin is happy to be a part of the team here at Gunnell Family Dentistry! Erin worked as an assistant in Virginia during 2020 and is now a receptionist in our office. She is a welcoming face when you come to visit! During her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband, rock climbing, and playing tennis.
Alissa completed her prerequisites at Utah State University, then graduated from the Utah College of Dental Hygiene with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. She loves getting to know our patients and really enjoys what she does. She enjoys hiking, skiing, basketball, biking, the outdoors and anything adventurous. She also loves playing the piano. Alissa recently got married in June of 2019 and loving the new fun adventures of life and spending time with friends and family.
McKenley is a Cache Valley native growing up in Smithfield. She graduated from the Utah College of Dental Hygiene with a bachelors degree in dental hygiene. She loves interacting with all of her patients and getting to know them. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband. They like to go mountain biking, skiing, being outdoors, and spending time with family.
Kyler enjoys working in the dental field. She is from Preston, Idaho. She currently lives in Preston and loves her job and commutes each day to assist with all our patients dental care needs. Kyler got married in February 2018 in Kauai. She always goes above and beyond to make our patients feel comfortable in the dental office. When Kyler is not working she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband mountain biking, hiking, and rock climbing.
Maddy graduated from Bridgerland Applied Technical College from the Dental Assisting program. Maddy knew she wanted to be in the dental field as long as she can remember. Maddy enjoys hunting, camping, being outdoors, and around friendsand family. She enjoys working and helping our patients feel comfortable and at ease.
Brooklyn is from Burley Idaho where she met her husband and have been married for 4 year. They have lived in the valley for 2 years where they have started up their own barbershop. Brooklyn is currently studying through BYU Idaho to get a degree in business management. Brooklyn always greets patients with a smile and is there to help anybody with anything. She enjoys creating relationships with the patients. When she is not at work she enjoys anything outside. Some of her favorite things she does are going to different hot springs, mountain biking, exercising, and being with family.
Charity grew up in Washington State and moved to Howell, Utah in High School. She has been married for almost 4 amazing years. After graduating at the Utah College of Dental Hygiene with Honors. Charity and her husband bought their first house in Downtown Logan and have really enjoyed being homeowners. Charity loves anything related to the outdoors; hiking, snowboarding, camping, mountain biking and trail running. Shes willing to try new things, adventures, and loves serving the people of Cache Valley in her profession as a dental Hygienist.
Ashley is one of our Dental Assistants here at Gunnell Family Dentistry. Ashley graduated from Bridgerland Technical College here in Logan and has been on our team for about 6 months. Her favorite part about working is getting to know the patients that come in, and making them feel welcome. She also enjoys helping patients feel more confident about the appearance of their teeth and loves to see a huge smile after an aesthetic case is completed for them. When Ashley isnt working, she can be found boating, horse riding, or just spending time with friends and family.
Kayla was born and raised in Decatur, IL, and just recently moved to Logan, UT. Kayla attended the Dental Assisting program at Heartland Community College in 2017 and has been working as an assistant since 2018. In her free time, Kayla likes to sing, be outdoors, and spend lots of time with hertwo-year-olddaughter Raielle. Kayla is excited for her new adventure in Utah and is looking forward to being a part of Gunnell Family Dentistry.

Was looking for a new dentist while new to the area and Gunnell was recommended to me by a friend. They have great staff, super friendly. The wait for an initial appt was longer than I'd hoped but totally worth it. I appreciate the text reminders!

Everyone here is so kind! And of course they take absolutely great care of you with any concerns or questions you have! I've been going here my whole life and I have no plans to go anywhere else! HIGHLY recommend!

I love Gunnel family dentistry they are always kind and efficient and pay attention to detail. Megan our hygienist is meticulous, gentle and keeps our teeth looking their best!! And both Dr. Gunnell's are GREAT You can't go wrong with Gunnell family dentistry!

Staff is always so friendly. I love how welcomed they make me feel. They remember who I am and always ask about me and my family. They always do a great job and getting me in and out as efficient as possible, and answer any questions I might have. We will be going to Gunnell Family Dentistry for as long as we can!

They are great! We brought our kids in for cleanings and everyone was so fun and nice. Our kids actually loved the dentist and they're 7 and 4 years old!! They always do an awesome job on our cleanings and really do make everyone feel comfortable, even the kids. I needed a filling and they did a great job on that too! Fast, great work. I had the filling done over a year ago and have no problems with it.

We LOVE go to the dentist, Doctor Gunnell is a wonderful person and very professional and Alissa is doing a great job with me and my family ,I feel so comfortable with her ,she is a wonderful person I am so grateful with her because thanks to her and Doctor Gunnell my teeth are more beautiful and healthy. Going to Dr. Gunnell's office is much more than just going to the dentist. You are greeted with the most friendly staff, they remember who you are and your life's stories. Dr. Gunnell is professional and wants the best for you, he is honest by telling you what's best for your health. He isn't just your dentist, he is your friend. I highly recommend giving them a call to see if this is a good fit for you; if you are searching for a dentist, you won't be disappointed.

Love this office! Having moved around a lot and visiting a new dentist every few years, I can confidently say this office stands out in a very positive way. The staff has always gone out of their way to make sure my kids are fit in when we have a concern, makes phone calls on our behalf to keep our charges covered by our insurance, has a thyroid guard for x-rays and doesn't give me a hard time that we are extra careful about x-ray exposure, and is willing to accommodate me in the ways I've asked to keep me more comfortable during a cleaning. On top of that, the staff is all just really nice! Dr. Gunnell is personable and does a great job communicating and treats us like we're people, not charts and possible charges. I came here because it was one of the few offices that accepted our insurance, but so happy with how it's turned out and glad we found them. Thank you to every single staff member at Gunnell Family Dentistry - y'all are seriously the best!

I have had a consistently good experience at Dr. Gunnells office for many years, and I am very appreciative for the way he runs his business. He and his staff are always professional, skilled, friendly and attentive. Dr. Gunnell gives his complete attention. When he comes in the room, you are his only concern. I feel he and his staff take pride in their work (to the point of being perfectionistic) and really care about their patients. If you're looking for a dentist, I very strongly recommend Dr. Gunnell.
