I have had a positive experience with Guadalupe Dental Care starting with their means of communication. They have recently added a text feature which I like as a person who rather text than speak on the phone; it's just more convenient for all parties. I like that there isn't a wait time for being seen as far as I have experienced. Friendly staff and dentist who don't sugar coat things.

I had a broken tooth and cavity which needed immediate attention. Dr. Vu did a great job with root canal, thereby fixing the excruciating pain I was experiencing. The staff is very friendly and supportive. Thanks to the staff and doctor!

This is the worst dental practice. I moved to San Jose in 2019 and I had to find a new dentist. I found this one online because it was in my network for coverage and it had okay reviews. When I arrived I waited 45minutes for care. After x-rays they proceeded to tell me all the costs of the procedures I would need. I knew I didn't need much done because I was up to date with my dental health from previous dentist. They said I would need to fill several cavities, get a deep cleaning, and wisdom teeth removal. All of these services are covered under my insurance. Yet they said it would not be covered. I looked at the procedure list and it was clear that they used a different code to input into the system so they will get paid out of pocket and from insurance for performing base services. After getting that scam of a quote I opted to never go back to that place. It is a literal scam. I called my insurance and all of those procedures were listed as $0 copay. Report this place.

I hate going to the dentist...BUT The team at Guadalupe Dental are always so cheerful and professional that they calm my nerves every time. Now the experience of going to the dentist isn't so bad. The staff is great, so welcoming, and personable. They remember me and CARE about their patients. Funny thing is that I want to make them proud that I am actually doing what they tell me to do. Last time no new cavities. Yay!

I personally, have had the most Amazing experience at Guadalupe's dental care.im a first time patient and after spending 4 of the worst days, of my life in non stop tooth pain. Despite having a dental fracture and poor higene.for 4 days I passed by the office out of line luck.im currently waiting for tooth extraction as we speak I'm exited. Everyone's experience is different but mine has been a blessing. The staff greeted me with respect and understood my pain.what made my day, almost brought teers to be my eyes because no matter me not having medical insurance I had very little money. They didn't do what others did to me which was turn me down for money they continued to help me not because they can or wanted to as they had other patients with appointments I was a emergency walk in. Like I said no one knows my pain right now but Guadalupe's dental care understood that we all come from different economic resources .thank you all for my wish come true . DNT hesitate to call them there in San Jose and on tully Rd thanks again to all the staff and team for staying after hours just to make me smile again.

Reading the reviews after services rendered its very clear to me now. Front desk - super accommodating and very friendly. I went in for a dental cleaning which I was due for a deep cleaning since my last one was two years ago. Paid 600$ for that. Then after taking x-rays they said that I have a crown that needs to be replaced but there is a possibility that it may have to be removed if cracked. My options were a crown replacement which would cost me nothing based on my insurance or their recommendation of zirconia which is 950$ total for one tooth. They said they would not do ceramic or porcelain because the lab won't do it, come to find out is because they just want the "best " treatment possible which to me sounds like they just want to upsell as much as possible and not do what's only covered in your plan. My second option was a bridge which is covered in my plan. But again they want to upsell and have the "best" for their clients. When the assistant explained to me originally that a bridge involves an extraction and a little bit of shaving of the surrounding two teeth so they can for the bridge on top. This is only if the tooth was cracked . I was like okay not too bad but instead she should have explained that a bridge is two crowns with a fake tooth in the middle which would cost approximately 3k. I almost fell off my seat. Why would a dentist want to ruin two perfectly healthy teeth to stabilize the one in between? Idk their ideology but keep reading..... My third option would be to get the extraction with bone graft and a referral to get an implant which is what I went for. Well time came to check out the crown, the dentist said it wasn't cracked but recommended it come out because of the material they used when placing the crown has eroded. Idk if they could have cleaned it and redone a new crown but the dentist said it's better to take it out. I said but u said the only reason to take it out would be if it's cracked, unfortunately this wasn't the case. No matter what, I feel the tooth would have been extracted so that they can put the bridge on. I decided to put my trust in her so I went with the tooth extraction and bone graft. Bone graft with my insurance I had to pay 500$. Okay fine no problem. The work was good and she was very gentle. I'm just glad that she actually waited for my mouth to be numb to start. I was given pain and antibiotics and assured that if there were any issues to call. 45 min later when it came time to replace the gauze I noticed the stitch was broken. I realized I had bitten down so hard and broke the stitches. I went back and she fixed me right back up with no issues. So two weeks post op the bone graft is growing well and no issues. I asked to get a flexible partial one tooth denture to fill the space meanwhile giving me time to save for a dental implant. Well not to my surprise the dentist didn't want to get a partial because, 1 it's covered in my insurance even if I paid the upgraded fee which was supposedly 1k mind u she didn't actually check. And 2 because the dentist doesn't want to be liable if it's swallowed . Understandably if I was 10 but even after I said I'd sign a waiver she still said no. Unfortunately most of the reviews are right. I can see how some would see this as a scam. In my opinion they pick and choose based on their self interest on which services they want to do and which one they will get the most money for. I take this as a learning experience and always consult with my insurance with which services are covered and why they choose to not do the ones that are. Also the insurance asked me if I wanted to report them which was weird because I've never even heard that I can do that. There were more issues with stuff they wanted to do that wasn't covered and them using different codes to work around your insurance so u have to pay out of pocket. I did feel a lot of pressure to make a decisions which I don't believe is right. I chose to only talk about one issue not all of them because no one had the time to sit and read for days.

Very disappointed in the service here. Much like a previous reviewer, I came in for a regular cleaning. I couldn't go to my old dentist (a medi-cal dentist, at that) because I got on my work's HMO dental insurance. Saw a lot of good reviews for GDC, so I made an appointment. Called the day before to confirm my appointment, and they asked to reschedule me for a later time. It was only by 30 minutes, so it was fine. After some wait, I get seen and they do xrays. The dentist looks at them and says I need a full debridement after a preliminary examination. I was not expecting this, and I did not want this. They said it's a step above a regular cleaning and that I have significant tartar on my teeth that they need to scrape off. After some consideration, I consent to the procedure and its cost because it's my dental health. But had I gotten a regular cleaning, my visit would have been completely covered rather than the $90 for the office visit, debridement, and gum irrigation. In the middle of the visit, they asked me if I could go and come back after about an hr because the dentist would not be ready. I was appalled. I understand that waiting is normal, but I've never been asked to leave and come back in the middle of an appointment, especially as I was already in the chair. The actual appointment (being worked on) took about 15-20 minutes. He didn't do much more than give me antibiotics for my gum line; the debridement didn't even seem as thorough as a regular cleaning as it was done in half the time and half the effort. It was also my initial appointment, so I was surprised he didn't go over my oral health and past dental history as it was obvious I've had some fillings. I mentioned a popping sound from my jaw, and no one followed up on that. At the end of the visit, they asked me to leave a review on social media and to refer any folks I knew needing a new dentist. I would not recommend this place for their dental work (especially for a new patient visit!). The whole felt like a cash grab. However, I will like to commend the staff. They seemed kind. The hygienist that worked on me explained every step she did as she was doing them, and I really appreciated her care and consideration.

(Translated by Google) Well I have never visited this place but heard many bad things that charge too much for the service. And it is not good first to quote in other places to see which one gives you the best service and also that it is economical for your bag because here they take you a lot of money. Tooth cleaning is free and caries care here also charges you almost 500 for dental cleaning my father had a very bad experience in this place please do not take advantage of the good Latin people of all.

I had a very positive experience at this location. I was greeted by friendly people every single time I came in. At Guadalupe Dental I had received fillings, a crown, and a wisdom tooth extraction service. All these services were done with care and with professionalism. I felt very comfortable in asking questions regarding procedures and costs. Appointments were made early morning (by preference) and they also called me whenever they had an earlier availability which was great. I felt very well taken care of.
