We even see patients during the lunch hour for your convenience.
Ever since she can remember, Dr. Turnbow has wanted a career where she could help others while also working directly with her hands to create new beauty. Anatomy and the way the body functions at such an intricate level is absolutely fascinating to her! Today, she couldnt be happier with her chosen profession. Dentistry has allowed her to create such amazing improvements for her patients regarding health, aesthetics, and even education. She does her best to provide excellent preventive strategies so that each person in her treatment chair can move through life with the right tools to maintain a healthy, confident smile.
Dr. Turnbow earned her Bachelors from Hendrix College in Arkansas. She then pursued her Masters of Science from Texas Tech University shes still a Red Raider at heart! Finally, she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Upon graduation, she was awarded the General Dentistry Appreciation Award for consistently superior performance and the Dr. Jack L. Hardage Award for Practice Leadership.
Beyond dental school, Dr. Turnbow is very passionate about continuing education and takes around 40-50 hours a year. Shes always looking for the most current and well-researched solutions for her patients! Shes also earned a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry and is a current member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association.
Dr. Turnbow and her husband Lance married in 2000, and they have two beautiful boys, Lincoln and Davis. Outside of the dental office, her top priority is spending quality time with her loved ones. As for personal hobbies, she likes to play golf, swim, travel, and read. You can also often find her watching reruns of Seinfeld, Friends, and The Andy Griffith Show!

Highly recommended. Friendly & professional staff. Very up-to-date equipment & procedures. Very clear communication about their findings and recommendations for treatment. They also have an "in-house" insurance program that is very beneficial to anyone who doesn't have dental insurance coverage.

Dr. Turnbow at Gruene Family Dental has been my dentist for years. Upon my recommendation, my entire family sees her. Each staff member is extremely friendly, dedicated, professional, -- and incredibly gentle. Their follow-up to any treatment makes you feel like you are their only patient. Dr. Turnbow knows when to refer you to a specialist rather than trying to do the work herself. Consequently, we trust her implicitly.
