Continuing education is a vital component to providing the best orthodontic care, and Dr. Gruber is committed to staying uptodate with the newest, most effective, and most comfortable treatment for his patients. Dr. Gruber participates in courses through Eugene Williamson, trained in straight-wire technology with Larry Andrews, and studied mechanic therapy with Thomas Mulligan. He is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, Roth Williams International, and the Gnathos OrthodonticStudy Club.

A native of Collinsville, Illinois, Dr. Gruber resides in Olney. He has three grown children: Kristin, who is a dental hygienist;Brian,an orthopedic surgeon;and Michelle, who is an attorney. Dr. Gruber also has fourgrandchildrenIsabella, Dean, John and Danicaa dog named Winston, and a cat named BooBoo.

Hello, my name is Jessica and I am the offices treatment/scheduling coordinator. I have worked atDr. Gruberssince 2012. My goal here is to make sure every patient and family leaves with a smile after a wonderful experience at our office. From our patientsfirst visit totheir last, we want you to feel like part of our family.

I started working in the field of orthodontics when I was still in high school, and have been working as a chairside assistant with Dr. Gruber since September1976. Our patients are the best, and I love talking with them about their lives. Each one of them is so different!

When Im not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husbandEarl, our children, Jesse and Kelly, and our grandkids. We also have a dog named Harley and kitten named Itty Bit. I love the outdoors, gardening, hunting, and sports with my family.

I began my career in the dental field in 2010. I am passionate about being a dental assistant and helping patients achieve beautiful smiles, as well as educating them in all aspects of their treatment. I thoroughly enjoyspeaking with our patients about the activities in their lives and how a world-class smile can affect them. In many orthodonticpractices, the goal of treatment is only tooth alignment. In our office, we perform both tooth alignment and bite correction, to combinethe cosmetics of a beautiful smile and the health service of proper dental function.

Each new patient induction is a two-step process. Prior to being examined by Dr. Gruber, a patient receives a tour of the office and has digital photographs and a panelipse X-ray taken. Next, Dr. Gruber performs a detailed examination of the patient and, if indicated, completes the record-taking process.

Dr. Gruber uses the most advanced techniques and materials to reduce the length of treatment and improve the quality of care. Our office places Opal Seal on the surface of the teeth where the appliance is attached. The application of this material almost completely eliminatesthe appearance of white marks on teeth that resultfrom ineffective oral hygiene.

Each patients models are mounted on an instrumentcalled an articulator, which shows how theteeth are functioning in relation to thetemporomandibular joints. The information about how the jaws move is essential for creating the most effective treatment plan for a patients case.

We take a series of radiographs that help Dr. Gruber evaluate each patients bone structure in all three dimensions. Whereindicated, Dr. Gruber obtains tomographs of the patients temporomandibular joints to evaluate for any further necessarytreatment.
