Dr. Michael Gruber was a 1979 Omicron Kappa Upsilon graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry and completed a prestigious General Practice Residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in 1980. After four years of active dental practice, Dr. Gruber established the practice for Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in 1984. He received his Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry in 1986, and in 1988, completed comprehensive prosthetic training in Osseointegrated Implants.

In 2014, Dr. Gruber was nominated by his peers and accepted as a Fellow in the American College of Dentists (ACD), the oldest major honorary dentistry organization comprised of only 3.5 percent of practicing dentists in the United States. Its members have exemplified excellence through outstanding leadership and contributions to dentistry and society.

Dr. Gruber has also been consistently chosen by his peers as a 'Top Dentist' in the annual N.J. Monthly magazine poll, and for the past 15 consecutive years he is one of only two General Dentists in the entire State of New Jersey to achieve this accomplishment. Dr. Gruber has also been chosen as one of NJ Top Docs/Dentists for the past 12 years as well as a continued Top Dentist by the National Consumers Research Council and USA Top Dentists.

Dr. Gruber is a member of the TriCounty Dental Society, the New Jersey Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Comprehensive Dental Studies, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Dr. Gruber has been an attending at Morristown Medical Center since 1980, where he teaches cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry, and in 2017 he was honored as the 'Attending of the Year'.

He also is the Founder and Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Newark Children's Dental Center, which provides through volunteer dentists and auxiliaries, free dentistry to all of the children of the club ages 5-18.

Dr. Alexa Gruber graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2016. Prior to her dental education, she attended the University of Richmond, and graduated in 2012 with cum ladue honors. While at VCU, she completed a selective course in Advanced Prosthodontics, a mentorship in Oral Medicine and received awards from the Academy of Oral medicine and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

She continued her education in a one-year general practice residency at Morristown Medical Center, where she received advanced training in treatment of complex dental cases, oral surgical procedures, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, digital dentistry, dental implants and esthetic procedures. She also had extensive training in treatment and management of patients with dental trauma in an emergency setting. She is now an attending staff member at Morristown Medical Center.

Dr. Alexa Gruber is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Tri-County Dental Society, New Jersey Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Comprehensive Dental Studies, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Gruber has also been consistently chosen by her peers as one of NJ Top Docs/Dentists as well as a continued Top Dentist by the National Consumers Research Council and USA Top Dentists.She is involved as a volunteer with Missions of Mercy and the Boys and Girls Club of Newark Children's Dental Center. She plans to continue to give back to her community through these organizations and hopes to be involved with their growth in the future.

As a member of the Gruber Dental practice since 2017, Dr. Gruber loves being able to make a tangible difference in someones life whether its getting someone out of pain or enhancing their smile. When she is not at the office looking after patients, Dr. Gruber enjoys the outdoors. Hiking, sailing, traveling, and exercise are among her favorite activities. She also loves spending time with her family particularly her husband, Doug, daughters Addison and Mackenzie, and their dog, Tex.

Dr. Marc Novak was raised in northern Connecticut in the town of East Windsor. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and chose to continue on at the institution by completing a Masters degree in Biochemistry. His research into protein stability led to several pier reviewed publications in well-respected scientific journals. He transitioned his career path to the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. He completed a senior externship in advanced Endodontics as well as receiving awards from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

He relocated to New Jersey to complete the rigorous and highly regarded residency program at Morristown Medical Center. His experience at the #1 hospital in New Jersey allowed him to expand his dental training by completing advanced oral surgery procedures, dental implants, pediatric dentistry, and comprehensive full-mouth rehabilitation cases. Dr. Novak remains on the Morristown Medical Center staff as an attending physician where he completes operating room sedation dentistry for patients with special needs.

With the constantly evolving field of dentistry, Dr. Novaks focus is on education, innovation and advancing his skill development to provide the highest quality dental care to his patients. He has furthered his training in the field of dental implants by studying under the renowned Dr. Dennis Tarnow and the Columbia University Dental Implant Continuum. He is a dedicated member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New Jersey Dental Association and Tri-County Dental Society. His treatment philosophy is that every patient should receive a comprehensive dental examination and treatment in all levels of oral healthcare. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, running, wood-working and just about any outdoor activity.

We are proud to introduce Dr. Edward R. Rockford to our practice. Dr. Rockford was a classmate of Dr. Michael Gruber at Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dentistry and a close colleague of Dr. Grubers for the past 35 years.Dr. Rockford was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. Heattended Passaic Valley High School, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck. Hecontinued at Fairleigh Dickinson University of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry.

Dr. Rockford practices all phases of general dentistry, specializing in cosmetic and implant dentistry. He utilizes all-ceramic and metal-free restorations, natural lifelike veneers, and is certified in Invisalign orthodontics at the Silver Level. He is conservative in his approach to dental care, practicing preventative dentistry, and striving to maintain close personal relationships with his patients. Dr. Rockford embraces the latest technologies offered and is constantly revising his practice in dentistry through involvement in continuing education.

Dr. Rockford attended the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Studies FL, The Institute for Advanced Dental Studies MA, Morris Seminars (a NJ County Chapter of the Seattle Study Group) and has long been a member of the Academy of Comprehensive Dental Studies NJ. He has been a NJ Top Dentist for the past 8 consecutive years, from 2015 through 2022.

Dr. Rockford and his wife Kate (also his dental assistant), reside in Boonton Township. In their spare time, Dr. Rockford and Kate enjoy traveling, skiing, island vacations, sailing, tennis, and spending quality time with family and close friends. They enjoy making wine, cooking, and are dedicated foodies.

Dr. Russo attended the NYU School of Dentistry and had been with Gruber Dental since 2006. She loves working with people and helping them feel proud of the health and beauty of their smiles. She also and completed a general practice dentistry residency program at Englewood Hospital in 1997.

Dr. Russo has enjoyed working in dentistry since she was 16 when she started as a dental assistant. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New Jersey Dental Association, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Alicja is a Teaneck, NJ native, and attended Kean University for her Bachelor of Arts Degree and attended Bergen County Community College for her Dental Hygiene Degree. She joined our practice in 2010.

Alicja loves being able to provide oral hygiene health and education to her patients. She loves seeing positive results when patients understand their oral health. Helping patients live healthier lives is truly rewarding.

When she is away from the office, you will often find Alicja doing yoga, skiing, and working out at the gym. Mostly she enjoys spending time with her family her loving husband, energetic young daughter, and newborn son.

Cassandra is a Parsippany native and has worked at Gruber Dental since 2018, but she is a long-time patient of Dr. Grubers! A graduate of the University of New Haven in West Haven, CT, she earned her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene.

She loves our service dog, Chewy, who comforts patients at the office. She also appreciates how everyone works together as a team to educate our patients and provide the very best, individualized dentistry.

Kristina started life in Russia until she was 12 years old, and now, she calls Parsippany, NJ home. She attended Morris County College and the Institute for Health Education to earn her RDA, CDA, radiography certification, and CPR training. As a lifelong learner, Kristina now attends Eastern International College and will earn her dental hygiene degree in 2020.

One of our newest team members, Nicole joined the Gruber Dental team in 2019. She is a Morris County, NJ native and attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey for her dental assisting degree and certification in nitrous oxide administration.

When shes having fun, you will often find Nicole spending time with her husband and three kids. She stays busy watching and coaching her kids sports teams, and plays softball in the summer. Nicole also enjoys cooking and baking.
