Dr. Saleh (known as Dr. Zohra or Dr. Z to her younger patients) completed her undergraduate education at the University of Virginia in her hometown of Charlottesville with a Bachelor of Arts in biology and a minor in Spanish and attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA to complete her doctor of dental surgery.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Saleh worked as a general dentist at a private practice for a year. But within a few months of working, she realized that she thoroughly enjoyed working with children and that pediatric dentistry was her true calling. Therefore, she decided to pursue this dream by moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan and obtaining her Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
Throughout her life, Dr. Saleh has been very passionate about giving back to the community. She has participated in multiple Mission of Mercy projects throughout her academic career. She has also participated in numerous Give Kids A Smile events throughout dental school and residency. She loves teaching and has taught refugee children in Charlottesville and has also served as a teaching assistant in dental school and residency.
Dr. Saleh is thrilled to be a part of the Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. In her spare time, Dr. Saleh loves to spend time with her fur baby, Zoe, and her friends. She also enjoys cooking, hiking, biking, working out, traveling, reading, and learning new languages. Guess and ask her how many languages she speaks! :)

today was my last day here as i am 15 so now I have to go to an adult dentist, but let me just say I was never unsatisfied. whenever I was 5 I had a cavity and they did a great job filling it, they are very very nice and do a great job cleaning my teeth. they also give me tips on how to clean them better to avoid plaque and gum disease. the 1 in chesterfield is very nice too. the staff is friendly and there is a TV in the waiting room, it is subtly decorated to the holidays/seasons as well so it's sorta calming. they make me as comfortable as possible and I even get to watch disney+ B) thank you to everyone here who has been cleaning my teeth for the last 12 years or so, I sure will miss this place

Super friendly staff & they did wonderful with our daughters fillings after another dentist failed & told us to take her somewhere else. We will definitely be changing over for all of her future visits.

Highly recommend growing smiles! We had left a previous office where my kids had a terrible experience and became scared of going to the dentist. After just one visit in this office they were not only comfortable with the dentist for the first time in years but they actually asked when could they go back. Could not ask for a better staff. From the receptionist, techs, hygienist, and doctors they are all 10/10 with compassion, empathy, and respect for both the parent and children.

We love coming to the Richmond office. We always get right in and the staff make you feel so comfortable and welcome. Both my kids, 3 and 4, are never scared. They have movie screens and know just what to say to ease little ones worries.

Extremely happy with all my son's appointments. They made his two procedures so quick and painless. He was so comfortable with the friendly staff that he went back on his own for a cleaning at 5 years old. Thank you for not making him scared of coming back

This dentist helped my son out so much after the worse experience ever. They make any accommodation your child needs! If youre looking for a pediatric dentist, pick Growing Smiles, we use both chesterfield and richmond locations

I've taken my two kids here for years. The staff is friendly, but my issue is with the treatments. My 5 year old has had two crowns and several cavities repaired here. I've asked for advice on how to prevent and it was just blamed on genetics. Recently, the office in Richmond told me he needed 2 crowns and a "baby root canal" and I asked for oral sedation like he has done previously. They said I'd have to go to the Chesterfield office for sedation. I did the consult and set up the appointment and they just called me THE DAY BEFORE to let me know they don't offer the oral sedation anymore. So I took my son to another pediatric dentist to get a second opinion. This dentist said he does not need crowns or a root canal. They said they can put caps on the teeth. No drilling required! He said he would only consider crowns off the decay was all the way to the nerve or if he was in pain. Based on that information, I can only guess that my son's previous crowns were unnecessary as well. The new dentist was also able to offer my advice on how to prevent cavities instead of blaming it on genetics. I'm an extremely disappointed and even sickened at this place. Why would you drill a child's teeth unless completely necessary??

I made an appointment for June for both of my sons at a different dentist office in beginning of spring 2021, and was called a day before the appt saying they had to reschedule, and could only get me in late summer. Come time for the second appt, they called me to cancel when I was on my way to the appointment! (What a nightmare!) I finally decided to call Growing Smiles in Richmond, and I was able to get an appointment for January. What a breath of fresh air it was! I didn't have any hassles, and they did so well with both of my kids. I appreciated the text appt. reminders, and loved how they thoroughly explained everything to me after the cleanings. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

Growing Smiles is amazing!! I couldn't imagine taking my 3 kids anywhere else!! They are compassionate, fun and make my kids feel comfortable from the minute they arrive! All 3 kids have had to have some sort of dental work done- and you would have never known!! Their staff is so sweet and explain everything to both kid and parent. It really helps the process and my kids love going to the dentist!! We will forever be grateful and continue to spread the word on how great Growing Smiles is!!
