Dr. Saleh (known as Dr. Zohra or Dr. Z to her younger patients) completed her undergraduate education at the University of Virginia in her hometown of Charlottesville with a Bachelor of Arts in biology and a minor in Spanish and attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA to complete her doctor of dental surgery.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Saleh worked as a general dentist at a private practice for a year. But within a few months of working, she realized that she thoroughly enjoyed working with children and that pediatric dentistry was her true calling. Therefore, she decided to pursue this dream by moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan and obtaining her Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
Throughout her life, Dr. Saleh has been very passionate about giving back to the community. She has participated in multiple Mission of Mercy projects throughout her academic career. She has also participated in numerous Give Kids A Smile events throughout dental school and residency. She loves teaching and has taught refugee children in Charlottesville and has also served as a teaching assistant in dental school and residency.
Dr. Saleh is thrilled to be a part of the Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. In her spare time, Dr. Saleh loves to spend time with her fur baby, Zoe, and her friends. She also enjoys cooking, hiking, biking, working out, traveling, reading, and learning new languages. Guess and ask her how many languages she speaks! :)

I used to love this place. They're great with my kids.... BUT I have waited over 6 MONTHS to get my daughters procedure done! The last 3 months I have called 14 times and got the same response "I'll leave my manager a message." Even after breaking down on the phone cause my 5 year old has been in pain! I have referred all of my friends and family's kids here.... My friends daughter got her procedure done within 2 months!.... So why so long for my daughter?! At this point, I'm ready to find a new dentist that will actually care....

What a wonderful experience my 3,3 & 6yo had at Growing Smiles In St. Claire Shores. I was very positive boys wouldn't let anybody get anything done. Was I wrong?! All three got their teeth cleaned and checked. Registration girls got all three kids in around the same time the same day! Staff have been very welcoming and organized! Hygienist and the dentist have been so pleasant to work with, they made kids feel comfortable, safe and calm. They check on allergies before doing anything and had alternatives for allergies it was very considerate of them! Office is clean and modern.We didn't wait long! There are forms online you can fill out before your appointment to save yourself time at the office! I have been very very pleased by the practice. Looking forward to going back in 6 months!

Editing to add- unfortunately there was no rush to get my son the proper care here. I've continued the back and forth calls and am still not sure what's going on. I've now been pursuing dental work for my son with Growing Smiles since March and it's nearly September. He's had 4+ appointments in that time but the issues are still not resolved. After bouncing around trying to find the right fit, I finally feel confident that my son will be cared for properly. Dr. Kareem and the office staff have been so informative and helpful!

The staff at Growing Smiles are the kindest people you'll meet. My children loved their visit today and two of three littles got their teeth cleaned with ease. The hygienist and dentist were gentle and respectful towards my children. The appointment was thorough and informative. My babies loved their stickers and toothbrushes they received after getting their teeth cleaned. It's the best place to start your child's dental experience. My babies are actually excited to go back! :)

Growing Smiles is an absolutely amazing place to take your children. They are some of the kindest people I have ever met. I have three children, ages 6, 4 and 2. My sick year old has ASD with a lot of sensory issues, my 4 year old had had an extremely traumatic first time experience at a different dentist prior to coming to Growing Smiles and my 2 year old hadn't yet been seen by a dentist so she was quite fearful. The staff were so understanding when it came to each of my childrens' unique needs during their visit. I have to single out Erica for her absolutely AMAZING work with my oldest who has ASD. She was so soothing and calm with him talked him through the entire process explaining every single step so that he wouldn't be afraid. I am so grateful for this practice and everyone there! My children aren't afraid of the dentist anymore and I know that my babies are in the absolute best of hands. If you're looking for a dentist for your child, this is without a doubt the place you need to be. Thank you guys again for everything!

We live near Chesterfield but we drive the extra half hour to the St Clair Shores location! The staff and dentist go above and beyond our expectations! My 4 kid's (5,6,10,16) absolutely LOVE everyone here! I would recommend this location to everyone! We had MULTIPLE appointments at another location, the front desk condensed all the appointments to make it easier for me with 4 kids! What would have been roughly 8 appointments, they did them in 3 appointments! They care about their patients, as well as the parents! Thank you guys for everything! We will see you next week!

Not off to a great start. Filled out all paperwork online for my 2 children prior to trying to call to book new patient appointments for them. Took 2 weeks and multiple messages for someone to call back. June? Jude? Left me a voicemail on July 5th. I called back immediately and we set up a tandem appointment (scheduled for today, 8/4), so that we would not be in the office for almost 2 hours. Both my husband and I left work early and got a babysitter for our newborn, only to arrive at the office to find out they never actually scheduled the appointment. New appointments scheduled 3 weeks from now, not at the same time, completely defeating the purpose of how our appointments were set up today. Super disappointed, especially after hearing multiple reviews about how organized this office is compared to others.

The staff is very welcoming. To say amazing, would be an understatement. This was my son's first time in the dentist. Initially, I was nervous as to how he may react, but they made his first time experience a great one. He was so excited; from walking into the building, and leaving. The staff truly has a way with the young ones. I'd highly recommend

I've been taking my son and my little siblings here for quite a few years now, and we've always been so happy with the staff and the dental work! The kids never complain of pain after treatments, and always leave here smiling! They love coming in for cleanings. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and happy! Definitely recommend growing smiles for all children!

I usually take my 2 kids to the chesterfield location but they were booked for months so they sent us to saint clair shores, i was annoyed at first because of the drive but we definitely will be coming back to this location, everyone was AMAZING and so nice , from the time we walked in until we left and . Dr. Ahmed was so good with both of my kids, he had them cracking up and made them feel comfortable!! Perfect experience, thank you!!

My daughter needed a tooth removed and another dentist cancelled her appointment this morning. Growing Smiles, SCS, made room for my daughter immediately and they were AMAZING! My daughter has Autism so the procedure was a little more complicated based on her special needs. But the staff handled everything PERFECTLY! We were so very thankful! We will be back to see Dr. Rabaa for all of my daughter's check ups and procedures : )

My 4 year old fell and knocked his front tooth loose. I called the St. Clair Shores office and they said, "bring him in just to make sure everything is OK" and offered an appointment immediately. Dr. Ahmed was very compassionate toward my son; he held his hand and spoke kindly to him. He took the time to explain to me that it would be best to have the tooth removed as it was cracked below the gumline. It was removed that afternoon and my son's mouth healed without any issues. The tooth extraction happened in January and now it's April; my son still talks about how Dr. Ahmed held his hand and how nice he was. I'm glad we found this office; the office is clean and the staff is great.

I cannot say enough about Growing Smiles SCS office. The staff are so warm and inviting and make it easy for my kids to feel comfortable with them. We love every dentist, ortho, hygienist, and secretary we've encountered. The office is clean, welcoming, and we have never waited more than a few minutes for an appointment. We go for both ortho and dental services for our 4 kids.
