As a mother herself, Dr. Laura understands how important it is to know that your child is in caring hands. Providing a kind-hearted environment that is gentle and fun, she quickly helps your child feel at ease creating a foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits and choices.
Native to Southern California Dr. Laura attended University of California, Santa Barbara, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences. She then went on to attend dental school at Loma Linda University. Busy in dental school she served as class president, ranked first in her class and was awarded acceptance into the prestigious, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. Additionally, Dr. Laura graduated with advanced standing, and received a certificate of merit from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
After earning her DDS, Dr. Laura continued her education at Loma Linda in an intensive pediatric dental residency program receiving a Masters of Science in Dentistry. Today she is recognized as an official Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and is a published author of a study that looks into the safety of certain sedatives commonly used in pediatric dentistry.
Our team includes experienced and energetic people whose goal is to communicate well with both you and your child to provide the best care possible. All of our dental staff are licensed Registered Dental Assistants who participate in on-going training and continuing education throughout the year.

Dr. McCormack is a provider like no other, best bedside manner, detailed oriented, listens to all you concerns. I have a very fearful son and he had all his treatment with easy. I think is safe to safe he has overcome his fear thanks to her. Her assistants are also very caring and listen closely to your concerns, great staff and atmosphere! She treats you like family so glad she is my kids dentist.

We were referred by our pediatrician at One Medical. This was my daughter's first dentist appointment, so frankly, I was nervous about how it was going to go. And I have to say, I was not only impressed by the dentist, but their whole team. My daughter is 16mo old, and the dental hygienist met us at the door, was super friendly, and through every step made my daughter feel calm and entertained. She even stepped back in when the dentist came in, and made sure my daughter was smiling and happy. They are very organized and all paperwork and check in's are done online and through text. I really appreciate this because it's 1. Hygienic, and 2. I'm not filling out duplicate forms like what tends to happen at other offices. Overall, we are looking forward to coming back!

We have gone here since my son was 1 1/2. They are so great. The office is kid focused with bright colors and they have TVs on the ceiling with our favorite kid movies so it's a nice distraction if your child is nervous. Dr Laura is so gentle and explains everything so my son knew what to expect. I've recommended this office to multiple people and I really do love it here. He's been here 4 times now and every time after his first time, he's been excited to come back.

We have gone here since my son was 1 1/2. They are so great. My kids love going to the dentist! They get to watch cartoons, pick their toothpaste and get a prize at the end! Everyone in the office is super friendly and professional! Definitely recommend Dr Laura and her team!

We recently moved to California and were looking for a Pediatric Dentist for our 4 and 2 yr old. Our 4 yr old had been for a dental check up previously so she knew a little bit of what to expect but it was a 1st appointment for our 2 yr old. Dr. Laura and Brittany were very nice and really helped to make my children and me feel comfortable. They took their time when needed and worked quickly when needed. I was shocked that my 2 yr old allowed a full cleaning. It was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely be going back. I would recommend Growing Smiles.

I love this place. The staff is so caring and professional. The doctor is super nice and makes children feel comfortable. My daughter loves it, especially all the gifts she gets after her dental visit. I also have to add the cleanliness of the office, which is evident from the minute you step into it. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone.

Professional staff, clean office and not intimidating at all. My daughter is typically afraid of going to see a Doctor in general, but the staff and Dr. McCormack made her feel very comfortable. My child left the visit with a smile and on her face.

I'm not sure how the dentist can be so fun... But my kids always leave with a smile! Dr. McCormack is a mother herself and you can tell with how she relates to the kids and has intuition on what's best for each child! She respects my more natural ways to treat teeth, but also gives me her professional opinion, which I ask for and appreciate! I just wish she saw adults too! She'a amazing and all the staff are too! So friendly!

It was a great experience overall when we took our 3 yr old for her first dental check. Staffs and doctor were very good explaining all the stuffs in detail on what they are going to perform.. We were on time with appointment with paper work done at home.so, very less time waiting. I would definitely recommend the doctor for kids..
