Growing Smiles is not just a dental office for children and teens. We are a stepping stone to a healthy lifestyle. Growing Smiles delivers optimal health and care for infants, children, adolescents and persons with special health care needs. Our mission is to teach both parents and children an appreciation of complete dentistry: including preventative measures, treatment of dental disease and assisting craniofacial development while in a relaxing environment.

At Growing Smiles, we strive to create a positive experience for each child, and to teach them the skills to have a lifetime of optimal dental health! Our office environment is designed to be both child and eco-friendly. Forget the stuffy dental offices youre used to. The building uses the latest technology, both in dentistry and in construction methods. The office boasts digital radiographs and paperless charts. With digital radiography, there are no chemicals needed for development, and the amount of radiation that children are exposed to is drastically reduced compared to traditional dental radiographs.

Growing Smiles follows both the American Association of Pediatric Dentists and the American Dental Association guidelines that a childs initial visit to the dentist, should be by the childs first birthday. This helps to familiarize the child to the dental office, and also allows the dentist to make sure the childs dentition and facial profile is developing appropriately.

We will gladly submit all claims to your insurance company. Dental Insurance usually covers a certain portion of treatment and at Growing Smiles we pride ourselves in helping parents understand and work with their dental insurance.

Growing Smiles believes that being a great pediatric dental provider means continuing on the education journey. All the dentists are board-certified and Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. What does it mean for my childs Pediatric Dentist to be board-certified? A Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) is a pediatric dentist who, in addition to completing dental school and a residency training program, successfully completed and passed the highest level of written and oral examination, hence demonstrating specialized knowledge and skill in the field of pediatric dentistry.

Obtaining board certification is a Pediatric Dentists final stage in an extensive education path. Diplomates are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care through a voluntary commitment to lifelong learning.

The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is the only certifying board in the specialty of pediatric dentistry recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA) and sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).

Mission Statement: Our primary focus is you and your child. Our goal is to provide children with a lifetime of healthy, beautiful smiles and parents with the latest in child healthcare. Our office is custom-designed to provide a relaxing, fun, and safe atmosphere where children can be kids whiled learning healthy oral hygiene habits. Our office uses state of the art technology to create the highest standard in pediatric dental care.

Being in the dental field now for the past 23 years, I have seen many changes occur. One of the things I love about our practice is it is always evolving to better serve our patients and parents. Growing up in this area has allowed me to enjoy the beautiful seasons that we have. My husband and I enjoy walking, biking and hiking. I am an avid cat lover and have a cute kitty named Gracie.

Absolutely love it here! As soon as you walk in the doors you are welcomed by the best staff possible. Big smiles and nothing but kindness. My daughter who is under 2 has anxiety with new people, but they did so well with her that she was able to have her whole mouth checked and cleaned. Highly recommend and the visits we have had have always been amazing!

All around wonderful, friendly, informative staff:) Both the Hygienist and Dentist were great with my 10 year old daughter, they made her feel at ease throughout the appointment. They also have TV's built into the ceiling and given headphones so while the child lays back in the chair they are happily distracted by the show they get to pick out; nice touch!

I am impressed at how wonderful the dentist and and dental hygienist were with my 3 year old. I was worried going into the appointment my little one would be uncooperative, but their skill and bedside manner were so great my daughter ended up enjoying the visit! They have TVs in the ceiling to help distract the kids. They gave me great tips and tricks to help with child dental care at home. Highly recommend!

Wow! My daughter has seen DR. Paul for years here. Today we seen Dr Ed. What a absolute horrible experience. Because we declined xrays we were asked not to come back. This was an answer to our prayers about whether or not we should continue with this practice. We were so blessed to have Dr. Paul for all those years.

I was hoping to get my two boys in as patients into this practice, to my surprise, they don't accept our (well known) dental insurances, and we are insured by two different insurances, neither accepted. Too bad.

Dr. Amy and the staff at Growing Smiles on Transit Rd. In E. Amherst were amazing. They go the extra mile for the families they serve. Their office and dental practices were very clean. The staff calmed down my two-year-old son's nerves of a dental visit AND they calmed mine as a parent who is worried for their kid. They went at his pace, allowed him to explore the office, talked to him, showed interest in both of us and of course, offered us crystal clear dental advice and an easy-peasy exam. They had kid-friendly dentistry tools that he tested out on a stuffed animal with teeth, a welcome sign with his name on it, and a cute waiting area with toys. We are actually looking forward to the dentist now!

We absolutely love Dr. Amy! She is the sweetest person and so wonderful with kids. She takes her time and explains what she is doing to the children in a way they can understand. She has an amazing ability to put kids at ease and takes the fear out of going to the dentist. I wouldn't dream of taking my children to anyone else. It's easy to see that she truly loves what she does and loves children. She also spends the time to educate parents about dental health and oral care. When my daughter had a dental emergency one evening she returned my call immediately and assessed the situation. She saw my daughter in her office the next morning and everything turned out fine. I know in the future if any emergencies were to occur outside of normal office hours that I will be able to get in touch with her which is a great comfort as a parent. She has a lovely, friendly, and warm staff. Her office is beautiful, clean and as an added bonus above each chair tv's are installed into the ceiling for the kids with a great selection of movies. She has video games in the waiting room and kids get tokens to pick their own prizes at the end of their appointment. Dr. Amy has made going to the dentist fun!!! This is by far the best pediatric dental office in the area.

I brought my 15 month old son here for his first appointment and we absolutely loved it there. Everyone was super friendly and very informative. Very nice first dentist visit and they also have a service dog I believe that comes in and sees the children. We haven't met her yet but I made sure to schedule his next visit when she visits! Overall loved them.
