Dr. Yadnay Tabares is an accomplished Pediatric Dentist who began her educational journey at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in 2005, with a major in Biology. Dr. Tabares then furthered her education by earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2009 from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee. She then completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Nicklaus Childrens Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Tabares is certified by the Pediatric Dental Board and holds dental licenses to practice in both Florida and California.
Dr. Tabares worked in private practice in Coral Springs, Florida from February 2013 to September 2014. She then moved on to practice dentistry in the IHS for two years. Dr. Tabares looks forward to getting to know all her patients and to serve their every need. She enjoys educating children and their parents about proper dental care and maintenance for a beautiful healthy smile. She wants to create positive experiences, making your children feel safe and comfortable. In her spare time, Dr. Tabares enjoys running, Zumba, listening to music, baking, and spending time with her family.

First time taking my 17month old to the dentist. Of course she wasn't happy at first about getting her teeth cleaned by someone new, but the doctor and nurses were all so friendly! She walked out with a huge smile and so did I! Very clean waiting area and cleaning chairs. Definitely staying here for future teeth cleanings.

The medical personnel at this location is absolutely amazing! They were friendly. Fast and explained everything very well. I went in for a second opinion for my 5 year old and they were able to start treatment that same day! They are really good with the kids! And I definitely have found my new regular dentist ! Thank you all soo much!!

I was referred to this office in 2020 and I fell in love with it because of the initial care and kindness the staff showed. I had been going ever since until today. My appointment was at 4 and when my daughter was seen it wasn't too long into the cleaning session when I was asked to come to her as she was emotional due to dental anxiety. My daughter had streams of tears, gagging and telling me she could not breath. Dr Tabares seemed annoyed that my child's behavior was immature as "no other kids acted like her". She questioned if my child had been through a traumatic experience or been told dental horror stories. I declined. I expressed how I give her pep talks and nothing seems to help. Her suggestion was to give her 6 months to mature so she could properly aid her in the next step in cavity prevention. I did not find her to be empathetic as a pediatric dentist. Her hand gestures suggested she was done dealing with my child. I realize it was later in the day and her and her staff likely wished to go home with no extra challenges to face along the way but my child gained no progress today feeling the frustration of all those around her. The front desk staffs demeanor suggested they had no interest in scheduling the recommended 6 month follow up I had to initiate the conversation as they unenthusiastically clicked away and sent me on my way with a low "you're good". I obviously will not be back since this office no longer has any interest in working with my child. Growing Smiles, she is not broken and not the first kid on the planet with unexplained dental anxiety. Not everything can be rationalized but it can be worked through In time.. You should've showed more patience and professionalism. This world is already cold.
