Dr.Thomas Sponzograduated fromthe University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1980. Prior to studying atthe Dental School, hegraduated with a BA degree fromthe College of the Holy Cross in Worchester Massachusetts. After graduation Dr. Sponzo was employed by the Dental School as an assistant clincal instructor. In 1981 he opened his office for the Practice of Family Dentistry. In 1994 he joined the staff of Saint Francis Hospital's Dental Department and moved his practice to Wethersfield Connecticut. In 2000 he became certified in Invisalign Orthodontic treatment. In 2006 he completed training for surgical implant placement at Implant Seminars in Miami Florida, and in 2008 completed New York University Dental School's post graduate implant training program. In 2010 he moved his practice into a new state of the art Dental Facility at 1299 Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield Connecticut and converted his practice to fully digital dentistry including CEREC one visit crowns, veneers, bridges and dental implants. Dr Sponzo's practice maintains the most up to date infection control practices and modern dental equipment. Dr Sponzo is a lifetime member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Hartford Dental Society, an Academy Member of CEREC Doctors and a member of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Over the years Dr. Sponzo has traveled with International Dental Organizations to provide dental care and training to underserved areas of Central America, Asia and the Carribean.
