Grove Dental launched on January 1, 1970, birthed as a successor to another practice located in the Green Knolls shopping center in Downers Grove. Over the next three decades, that single practice expanded to what it is today, creating the current four Grove Dental locations Downers Grove, Bolingbrook, Lombard and then Wheaton. Grove was the first group practice in the State of Illinois to be fully accredited by the American Academy of Dental Group Practice, and today it remains one of the finest, most patient-friendly dental practices in Chicagoland.

On January 1, 1970, Grove Dental Associates, P.C. was formed. In August, Grove Dental moved into their new Downers Grove office located at 6800 Main Street. Later in September, Grove Dental expanded their dental practice to the Bolingbrook Medical Center.

Regenerative dentistry: the art and science of regenerating tissues (bone, ligament etc.) lost to disease. My own research involved the use of light (low level lasers) to disinfect surfaces on the one hand (aka photodynamic therapy) and accelerate wound healing on the other (aka photobiomodulation). Research is still early but very promising!

Dr. Shivani Shah received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisville and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Kentucky. She has practiced general dentistry in both Kentucky and Illinois.

I strive to create a comfortable and positive experience for each patient, while working together to achieve their dental health goals. I enjoy working with patients of all ages and all walks of life and truly enjoy getting to know each person along their dental journey.

Dentistry has become a career where Dr. Shah can serve her community and grow both professionally and personally. I believe that improved oral health leads to an overall better quality of life. Dentistry is the perfect blend of my interests healthcare, science, artistry, and engineering.

Outside of her dental profession, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, crafting, and traveling. She is also trilingual fluent in both Gujarati and Hindi in addition to Engish.

Dr. Lisa Cruz received her Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Dental Surgery from Marquette University. She is certified in Invisalign and Sure-Smile, and has a Lifetime Board Certification as well. Her areas of expertise and professional interests include: Phase 1, Invisalign, impacted teeth in both children and adults, as well as multidisciplinary cases.

Dentistry has become a career where Dr. Cruz can connect with her patients and continue to enjoy the art, science, and service the profession offers. I am able to connect with the patients in such a way to make them both feel comfortable and help them achieve their smile goals It is a gift to give someone a beautiful smile. I love seeing the transformation.
