My father, my uncle, my cousin's an orthodontist. So it's kind of in our blood. So growing up I was exposed to a lot of this and coming into my dad's office on weekends for emergencies or what not I was always here and his big thing was he just saw how my personality could fit into dentistry. I love working with people. I'm a very people person oriented type of individual, and also the ability to work with my hands, help others in need of help and just combining everything from that regard is really just the perfect profession for me.

The highlight of my day is working with a group of individuals that I really love and respect and appreciate. When you bring all the individuals together to a team, you can really make quite an amazing product. So the care we offer to our patients really is something substantial that I really am proud of. I love helping people. I think as I grow through this profession, I realize that it's not just about an individual tooth type of treatment. We look at things from a comprehensive level and oftentimes we see maybe some person has some jaw pain or headaches and it's debilitating in life. If you can solve their issues, that's a life changing moment for them.

Dr. Kevin Groths primary goal is for every person to walk out of our office knowing that they received the highest-quality, personalized care possible. Dentistry is more than just a profession for Dr. Groth. He sees every patient as an extension of his own family, and when you are in his chair, youll always be treated with his best intention.

Dr. Groths favorite part of being a dentist is that every day and every patient has a different set of needs. He loves the people he gets to meet and the variety of procedures he performs to help patients improve their smiles. Dr. Groth has taken over 3,000 hours of post-graduate education so he can offer the best care to the unique circumstance for each patient.

Since graduating from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2013, Dr. Groth is continually recognized as a Top Dentist by national and local publications. Dr. Groths most recently honors include:

Teaching and inspiring others is also a passion of Dr. Groths. When he is not working in the office, Dr. Groth is lecturing as a featured speaker with ACT Dental. In the past, Dr. Groth has served as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty Member at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, as well as the Assistant Clinical Director for the Society of Comprehensive Dentistry.

When Dr. Groth is not at the office or teaching, you can find him spending time with his wife (Allie) and daughter (Lola). Dr. Groth and Allie met while they were both at the University of Michigan. Dr. Groth also loves golf, traveling, watching sports, listening to podcasts, and reading.

... made me decide to get into dentistry was an exposure at a young age. I spent pretty much all of my summers as a kid growing up in the dental office and just observing the relationships that were formed between patients and their dentists. And how within one hour period of time, we can really achieve quite a lot. Whether it's getting a patient comfortable in our office, getting a patient out of pain, or just establishing a new dental home for a patient. That was my initial attraction and just being able to treat patients like family is really, really rewarding. I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan where I was raised and went to Albion College for undergrad where I met my husband. And from there I went to the University of Michigan where I received my dental education. And Dr. Kevin Growth and I met and connected on a mentor mentee basis. And from there, I'm continuing always to learn and further expand our horizons and gain as much experience as we can to offer our patients. Part of our continuing education as younger doctors is to constantly grow and learn and be better than we ever hoped we could be. And so in doing that combination of joining the Spear and the Dawson Academy has really enabled us to expand, and involving also our staff and our patients in a lot of that educational component too.

Dr. Renee Miller trained under Dr. Groth at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry during her fourth year in dental school. Her practice philosophy combines quality dentistry with superior patient care, and anyone who sits in her chair feels immediately at ease with her gentle, personalized treatment.

Dr. Miller was born and raised in Ann Arbor, and she has been practicing as a general dentist in the metro Detroit area since 2016. She attended Albion College where she met her husband, Andrew. Dr. Miller continues her education by staying up-to-date on the latest in dentistry. She recently graduated from the Dawson Academy.

When shes not in the office, you can find Dr. Miller taking walks with Andrew and their Golden Labrador, Murphy. She also enjoys traveling, cooking for family and friends, and tending to her vegetable garden in the summer.

Megan has a degree in human resource management. She began her dental career in 2002 and joined our team in 2018. She enjoys helping patients with their insurance coverage. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Tom, son Mackswell, daughter Paige, and mini Goldendoodle Bailey.

Kristin, a member of the Periodontal Study Club, joined our team in 2017 but has worked in dentistry since 1997. She loves the relationships she forms with patients and enjoys working with our amazing staff. Away from work, Kristin likes spending time with her husband and two children.

Allison is certified in local anesthesia and inhaled sedation and has completed continuing education through The Dawson Academy. She began working in dentistry in 2014 and joined our team in 2018. In her spare time, Allison enjoys working out, yoga, paddleboarding, and boating.

Dakota started working in dentistry in 2014 and joined our team a year later. She earned her Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from the University of Detroit Mercy and is certified in local anesthesia and inhaled sedation. Outside of work, Dakota enjoys spending time with her dog, Murphy.

Morgan has worked in the dental field since 2016. She joined Groth Dental in 2019 after moving back to Michigan from Alabama, where she lived for 10 years. In her spare time, she loves watching Auburn football, traveling, working out, and playing with her dog, Duke.
