Dr. Alburez is originally from Guatemala City, where he was born and raised and obtained his dental degree from the Francisco Marroquin University. He continued his professional formation at the University of Connecticut where he completed his residency and fellowship in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. He then obtained a fellowship in oral and maxillofacial surgery where he rotated at the Hartford Hospital, Connecticut Childrens Medical Center, Saint Francis Hospital and John Dempsey Hospital.
To further his knowledge in oral surgery, he enrolled in an oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at the Jacobi Medical Center in New York. Dr. Alburez is fluent in Spanish. He is currently a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Illinois District Dental Society. Dr. Alburezs goal is to help his patients feel comfortable in a stress-free environment, treating not only their dental needs but building a strong doctor/patient relationship. Dr. Alburez and his wife, Gaby, have a beautiful son together named Lucas. Dr. Alburez enjoys playing softball, exploring the outdoors and spending time with his family.
On a personal level, I have a big family. I have 6 children and 6 granddaughters who are all under the age of 4. I babysit at least 4 of them on my days off. My life at home, as you can imagine, is very busy. My office and the people I work with are amazing. I love the days Im in the office with this crew. I get to work with some of the most caring individuals, professionally and personally. I love being a hygienist and cant imagine doing anything else. Tara graduated from Lakeland Community College with her associates in Dental Hygiene in 1996. She graduated among the top in her class earning several awards, including the coveted Golden Scaler Award for outstanding clinical performance. She has been with Grinberg Dental Care since 2007.
I take pride not only in my work, but also investing in my patients lives. I love getting to know people, not just as my patients, but as lifelong friends. I enjoy learning about their families and also sharing a bit of my life with them. I want all my patients to feel at home, and relaxed with me. There is no reason to dread coming to the dentist!
When Tara is away from the dental office, she can be found capturing and preserving memories of many as a photographer with Twin Lenses Photography, and also making memories with her 3 children. Twins who are 12 and an older son who is 22! When shes not staying busy with all of that, you can also find her spending time with friends, reading, refurbishing old furniture, and catching up on her favorite shows, This is Us and The Walking Dead (theres nothing like a good ol fashioned zombie movie).

i have been trying to contact somebody there for weeks! Nobody answers the phone and when I drive by, it isn't open. There's been a USPS sticker on the window since 8/11/22. They have my tooth. Are they still in business?

It seems that they just closed without notice. I went here a couple of times when my old dentist closed and transferred me here. I had good dental care and scheduled a 6-month follow up. When it came close to the appointment, I called to confirm and no one answered the phone or returned my voicemail. Have tried calling during the hours listed on their website. No answer and the mailbox is full. I guess I will need to find a new dentist. It feels strange to be ghosted by a dentist.

I had my first appointment here (a cleaning) with Dr. Alburez, who was great. Very informative and just nice to talk with. I then had a recent fillings appointment with Dr. Li, who was also great. Based on what I can feel & see, she did a fantastic job, while also giving me a heads-up about other areas of concern. The hygienists, assistants, and admin staff are skilled, kind, and helpful. (I no longer go to this practice because my insurance doesn't consider them in-network.)

My experience there was wonderful. Dr. Grinberg would be so pleased to see the office functioning so well.Christy was helpful and friendly. Kate was very friendly, made me feel comfortable, and I'm quite sure did a good job of cleaning, etc. Dr. A was very kind, communicative, and I hope is really interested in fixing my tooth! Even the plants look great, especially that spectacular wandering Jew. Office very neat and organized.Seemed clean. Thank you for being a place that I can depend on.

I just paid my first visit to Dr. Cesar Alburez at Grinberg Dental Care. I always approach a visit with a new dentist with extreme trepidation. I was immediately put at ease by the friendly young man who introduced himself as Cesar. He was very gentle during the filing replacement. It was a pain-free visit. I'm very happy to say that I've found my new, permanent dentist. Welcome to Champaign-Urbana and Grinberg Dental Care!

I have been a patient her for several years. I feel that every time I go in to the office I always receive excellent and caring treatment. I like the family feeling and that they treat me like family instead of just another patient.
