Dr. Shannon Griffin, a native New Mexican, now makes her home in Oklahoma. She is highly respected by peers for her knowledge and passion about dentistry. Every day she continues to practice, teach or study - growing and learning from every experience.
She earned her undergraduate degree from New Mexico State and was graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She received advanced training in complex dental treatments and implants at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry (OUCOD).
She continues to serve on the faculty at OUCOD where she is currently the Assistant Director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency and is a Fellow in the prestigious American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists and is a member of the international honor society, the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
A recognized industry leader, she is a frequent speaker and writer looking to help other dental professionals improve. Her outreach to other dental professionals has helped dental teams with communication, business management, and technical training in advanced procedures such as dental implants and cad-cam dentistry.
When he is not teaching or taking excellent care of our patients, Dr. Barton enjoys time with his wife Megan and their dog Tga. They are active in their church community, are passionate about health and fitness and enjoy playing basketball, cooking, hiking, skiing and snowboarding.
At Griffin Smiles, the professional hygienists are so much more than tooth cleaners. They use extensive training and state of the art technology to give you exceptional care. They are valued team members working with doctors on a plan for your overall dental care and improved health.
Dental Hygienist Katie Smith knows the negative effects poor dental hygiene and periodontal (gum) disease can have on your overall health. When necessary, she will identify these problems for patients.
Holly graduated from the Oklahoma University College of Dentistry (OUCOD) with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2013. She received the Ideal Dental Hygienist award from her peers upon graduating and she stays involved with the Oklahoma Dental Hygienist Association (ODHA). She has been announced as the 2019-2020 ODHA President and was also recognized and awarded from the OUCOD as the Outstanding Young Dental Hygienist of the year in 2017. Holly has a beautiful family and loves scuba diving, reading, scrapbooking and hiking.
Krista graduated from the University of Missouri in Kansas City with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2000. She has a beautiful family that she enjoys spending time with. She also loves to travel, exercise, cook and be in the outdoors.
Kat graduated from Mid America Christian University in Oklahoma City with a Master in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Counseling. She loves spinning, traveling to see family, powwows, and spending time with family doing any and everything.

Dr Barton was referred to me by a friend and I gotta say "Thank you Jody!" Today I had root canal and the permanent crown was put on. One day and done for this tooth. Amazing! Dr Barton and his staff are awesome. I will be a patient of his for a loooong time!

Dr. Barton and his staff and amazing, kind, attentive, informative, and perfectionists. As someone who works in the industry, there is a reason I chose this office to redo some previous work I've had done. I was so comfortable during my time in the chair, and thrilled with the results. This office truly cares about their patients and their happiness with their dental experience. Wish I could give 10 stars to review my visit and love for this office.

Dr. Taylor Barton is Dr. Griffin's associate at Griffin Smiles. I can not rate enough stars to explain how great a dentist he is. He is patient, gentle, conservative and so thorough. All four of my immediate family will be his lifelong patients. (I hope he can tolerate us!!). His patient interaction skills are as phenomenal as his dentistry skills. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else. And by the way, each of the hygienists that have cleaned our teeth are great as well. The office staff are efficient and friendly. Going to the dentist can be an unpleasant situation but not here!

Great place! Very clean and very accommodating. Not many places are very patient about having dental anxiety and they were great! The staff was very friendly and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Griffin is beyond amazing, but Dr. Barton is phenomenal as well. We have been seeing these two dentists for 3 years. They see our whole family, 5 children (one in braces) ages 8 to 22. I trust all decisions and they make getting a crown as painless as possible. You will be very happy, the entire staff is amazing!

Griffin Smiles is the absolute best! All of the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Dr. Barton is the most thorough dentist I've ever been to, and I felt like he took his time and wasn't rushing through the exam. Best experience I've ever had at a dentist's office.

I've seen a lot of dentists in my time, and in my opinion, Dr. Barton is the best! The work he did on my teeth looks great and I love it so much! He listened to my concerns and gave me options on what we could do. He also has great bedside manner, and made my whole experience enjoyable. I would highly HIGHLY recommend Dr. Barton!

All my visits to Griffin Smiles have been favorable experiences. All the staff I have encountered are capable, courteous and friendly. I had a deep cleaning this time with a new hygienist, Erika (Erica?), at least new enough that she's not pictured on the staff photo page, and like the other hygienists she was skillful and empathetic, so appreciated when someone is using needle-sharp electrically powered instruments spinning and vibrating inside my mouth.while I am conscious and my senses are not dulled by any analgesic or psychotropic agents. I still don't look forward to visiting the dentist, but I always feel I am in caring and competent hands when I come here.

I had an appointment on 12/2/15 and it being my first one at Griffin Smiles; I didn't know what to expect. The Dental Hygienist was friendly and easy to talk to. She was extremely thorough in the cleaning and knew her stuff! The Dentist was nice and easy to talk to as well. They all made me feel welcome and they did a very good job. I will definitely be going back for future dental needs.

I was one of those people that had 1 dentist my entire life...until I turned 31. I decided to check out Griffin Smiles and to see what all they could help me with. I was absolutely AMAZED! This is the total package. I came in, they gave me a full set of x-rays and they began to talk to me about a complete oral care treatment without any hassles. They offer many services and wanted me to feel welcome and appreciated as a customer. Immediately, I was hooked. When you walk in to Griffin Smiles, you walk in to a tight nit family and you very quickly become a part of that family. Between Dr. Griffin, Dr. Brown, their wonderful staff and the caring, passionate environment that they have created, this is truly the best Complete Oral Care facility, not Dentist office, in Oklahoma hands down. Their attention to detail and stellar customer service make them truly unique and a joy to be around. I challenge you to find another Complete Oral Care facility that can match their professionalism, overall abilities, customer service level and family atmosphere. It can't be done. See for yourself...you won't be disappointed.

Simply put, I am "WOWED". The office staff is warm, friendly and professional. My hygienist was wonderful!!! Dr. Phoebe Brown and her staff are excellent. Thorough in discussing my dental health, up to date equipment and technology, clean and orderly environment and, particularly important to me, they were very respectful of my time. I can't imagine getting better care or having a better experience anywhere else!
