I hesitated to leave a review because this is no way to remain anonymous, and because the majority of patients reported a great experience. But I feel it's worth sharing why I won't be returning to this practice for my family's dental needs. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The facility is clean and orderly. The lobby is well-decorated. There is usually a Bible on the coffee table. I've taken my kids here and I have attended this practice for well over a year since moving to this area. I've had several procedures here including x-rays and a few fillings. The work was good quality and completed quickly. But I need to say this. It is possible for a man to convey vast knowledge and expertise without launching into an impassioned shame-session the likes of which left me almost in tears in front of my three-year old son. I may not make the best choices for my dental health, but that was no reason to chide me and flippantly dismiss my questions as if I was now "past help." The offense I committed was that my husband had purchased one of those online aligner programs for me as a gift. I've long had horrible self esteem due to my crooked teeth, even after having braces in childhood twice and once more in young adulthood. Results never seemed to last. Now as an adult with my own millennial budget during inflation, it's not possible to spare the thousands it would take to correct my teeth at an orthodontist yet again. I explained to the dentist that the aligners were what we could afford at this time and I thought it would help. He told me, in very harsh terms, what damage I had done to myself and how inferior the company was that my husband had used. Without a doubt, there was a better way to communicate his professional opinion, which I would respect had it not been couched in disdain. Instead he emphasized how "bad" everything was while gesturing to giant images of my teeth on a screen as I'm clearly distraught and confused. His communication was overtly pert and borderline abusive, and I had seemed to trigger something that he felt very frustrated about for some time without realizing I had. After coming to this practice for a while, I deserve much more respect than I was given today by this provider. I don't want my kids in this environment either. I could stand to make better dental choices online about aligners, sure! Likewise, this provider could use some sensitivity when dealing with women with low self esteem and body image issues. If I wanted to be this depressed, I shouldn't have to pay this much for it.

Went in w/a broken lateral incisor, x-rays were taken and the course of treatment recommended was to fix cavities and crown 6 front teeth. Asked them to send x-rays to my MN. dentist who said there was no decay and crowning front teeth was not typically done.

Dr. Griffin and his staff are very knowledgeable and service-centered. They provided an incredible experience, for both myself and my kiddos. Highly recommended for all our your families dental needs!

Since moving to Summerville 8 years ago, I was first seeing Dr. Lennon, then Dr. Griffin when he bought the dental practice from her, and I go every 6 months for my cleanings with Cheryl, who is fabulous! She has special equipment that gives you a terrific cleaning with a minimum of scraping and poking. When Dr. Griffin showed me pictures in 2019 of some decay starting around two of my very ancient molar crowns, and that they needed to be replaced, I was nervous about being flat back in the chair, due to my claustrophobia and some back issues, so I put it off. Well, 2020's Covid meant I didn't want to risk any dentist visits, so this year after vaccination I decided I had to face the situation and tell him to go ahead with the replacement-work. If you don't keep your teeth fixed as well as you can, that leads to all kinds of health issues. Well, as it turned out, Dr. Griffin made the whole experience really very easy and comfortable! I now have my two new crowns, which turned out perfectly, and I appreciate Dr. Griffin's & Amy's & Cheryl's excellent work.

This practice is anything but routine. From the time you walk in the door you are treated like an old friend. Everyone is friendly and they call you by your name like you have been coming in for years. Dr. Griffin is extremely professional and asks questions about what you need and listens carefully to everything you say. This practice is the best I've used in years. Definitely give them a try and you will be pleasantly surprised!

Every appointment i am pleasantly surprised at how comfortable i feel when leaving. I have had minor to major dental work done and have always been pleased. Dr Griffin and my hygienist Cheryl are so gentle and thorough that I can't recommend them enough.

Visits are always pleasant. The office is set in a wooded area with a view from the dental chairs to the outside - relaxing. All the staff are warm and friendly. Equipment and methods are state-of-the-art. Both my Wife and I consider Dr. Griffin to be an excellent practitioner. Definitely, an excellent choice for your dental needs.

Dr. Griffin and his staff are just awesome. They are super friendly and welcoming. Dr. Griffin does the best dental work I have ever had in my 56 years, and I have had a lot. I highly recommend Griffin dental.
