At Mountain High Family Dental and Orthodontics, we offer our patients a unique approach to dental specialty care. We are the only office in the Park City/Summit County area to provide a complete array of dental services to your entire family from our general and cosmetic dentists and dental specialists in one convenient location.
Our team of caring, committed, and highly experienced dental specialists truly care about your dental health and well being. We will always discuss your treatment options and alternatives along with answer any questions you have, so that you can feel comfortable with your treatment plan.
While most other dentists send their patients out for specialty care, we provide our patients with all specialty care right in our office. This means that you and your entire family can have all of your dental needs met without ever having to leave our office.
This not only makes your dental care convenient, but it allows us to provide you with the highest quality treatment. Unlike other offices where the general dentist refers you to a specialist in another location, Dr. Griffeth and Dr. Gordon are present and hands on to supervise and stay informed throughout your specialist care. They will often be in the room with you when you are receiving treatment from one or more of our specialists. They will monitor and observe you throughout your treatment and will customize your follow up care accordingly.
It also means that you will not have to travel to other unfamiliar, less convenient dental offices to receive specialty care from people you do not know. You will receive consistent, high quality treatment in a caring and comfortable environment that is familiar to you.
Dentists who refer their patients to outside specialists rarely have any idea of what happens once the patient leaves their office. Nor are they aware of the costs of treatment outside their office. By offering specialty care in our office, we can control all aspects of your specialty care. We can control the cost of your specialty care, and can make sure that the general and specialty dental care you receive meets your financial needs as well as your dental needs.
Dr. Matthew Griffeth graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2003. He has been practicing as a oral health specialist in our community since 2009. Dr. Griffeth grew up in Rexburg, Idaho with a love of the outdoors. He is an Eagle Scout.
In 2009, Dr. Griffeth and Dr. Jeffrey Gordon became partners and our practice was established. Dr. Griffeths emphasis on patient comfort as well his commitment to keeping up to date with the latest advancements in oral health care enable Dr. Griffeth to provide his patients with exceptional care. He has a wide range of experience in different areas of oral care. These include family and cosmetic oral procedures. His patients and staff know that Dr. Griffeth is happiest when he is taking care of his patients and making the people around him happy.
Dr. Jeffrey Gordon, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native, completed both his undergraduate and training at the University of Pittsburgh. After completing a two year General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Dr. Gordon opened his practice in Miami Beach. For 25 years he provided quality oral care services cosmetic procedures, implant placement and restoration, wisdom teeth removal, crowns and veneers, orthodontics and more to his South Florida patients. Dr. Gordon and his family moved to Summit County in 2007 to enjoy the active mountain lifestyle.

Dr. Griffeth has been amazing for years! I have reccomended several co-workers as well, everybody comes back to work with a great expierence and is still going there. I have been very happy with many types of work which he and his office have performed. Everything from fillings to root canals to cleanings to whitening. I have been extremely pleased with the cosmetic, medical results, and customer service. Importantly, he doesn't recommend unnecessary procedures, which I have experienced with prior dentists in Park City.

My husband and I went to see Dr. Griffeth a year ago and my husband(who had not been to the dentist in a couple of years) was told that he had 8 cavities and needed 2 crowns. They began the work on his teeth, then I went in a week later and was told that I had 7 cavities and needed 2 crowns. This made me suspicious considering I go to the dentist often. I went to get a second opinion and was told that I had no cavities and that the x-rays taken at Dr. Griffeth's office were so terrible that you couldn't even see anything. I told Dr. Griffeth's office and they said that I needed to get another opinion because I just wasn't liking what I was hearing from their office because I wanted to hear good news, not bad. I then went to get a third opinion where I was told that I still didn't have a cavity. My husband had already started his dental work and he got an infection. We called Dr. Griffeths and he prescribed an antibiotic. I told him my husband was allergic to it and he said that vomiting wasn't a real allergy so he wouldn't prescribe anything else. At this point my husband's mouth had a foul smell, a fever, and swollen lymph nodes so we took it. My husband was so sick that he couldn't keep the antibiotic down and we called Dr. Griffeth's emergency line all weekend and he never called back. I talked with the head of the office(Dr. Gordon) who did nothing but want to pay us $800 and make us sign a waiver saying we wouldn't say anything to anyone. We didn't sign because we wanted people to know what he did to us and $800 dollars didn't even make a dent in the charges that he billed us for.

Dr. Griffeth did an amazing job pulling my sons wisdom teeth! He was caring and treated him as if he was his own child! I would recommend Mountain High Dental for all of your dental needs!!

I have been going to Dr. Griffeth for several years and have always had a good experience. Everyone in the office is friendly and professional and I never have to wait long to be seen. Dr. Griffeth discovered a few cavities during my last visit. They showed me the x-ray on a large TV to explain where the cavities were. He also took close up photos of the decayed area that I was able to view on the TV screen as well. As Dr. Griffeth fixed my teeth, he explained each step to me. I was also well informed on the options for fillings and the costs up front. I would highly recommend this dental office.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST OR THIS OFFICE! THEY ARE A RIP OFF AND THEY DENTAL WORK FAILS. THEY OVER CHARGE FOR PRODUCERS THAT DID NOT NEED TO HAPPEN.

Been coming to mountain high dental for years... My kids orthodontics and dental work also... They are always friendly and helpful to accommodate my schedule and time. Dr. Griffiths professionalism and personality are always a relief, no one wants to see or be at the dentist... But he and the team make it a pleasant experience.

He works with me on financing and is always fair. He has a very gentle touch. The quality of his work is great as I have been told by other dentists. I give him my highest rating.
