Dr. Craig Grider completed a combined six-year program at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He graduated in 1996 with a bachelors degree in human biology and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, earning both with distinction. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Grider completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas. This residency emphasized advanced surgical and dental prosthetic techniques. Following this, Dr. Grider practiced general dentistry in private practice for three years before returning to school to pursue his lifelong goal of becoming an orthodontist. He entered the orthodontic program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, earning his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate in 2003. Dr. Grider has participated in business partnerships with the Lees Summit School District, Lees Summit Community Christian School, Belton Parks and Recreation, and is sponsor of several athletic teams in sports such as soccer, baseball, softball and swimming. He is also a sponsor of Harrisonville Community Center, Harrisonville public school programs, Harrisonville Christian School, and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. In this spare time, he enjoys golf, exercise, and traveling, but mostly just hanging around town with friends and family. Dr. Grider is married to the other Dr. Grider. His wife, Carla Shaw-Grider, is a graduate of Lees Summit High School as well as UMKCs six-year medical program. She practiced family medicine with a fellowship in obstetrics for five years before leaving her career to raise their children, Jake, Lydia and Violet.

People be aware before you go there. The staff here are money hungry, incompetent and very dishonest. My daughter got braces at this place. Shortly after their released her we noticed a big space that before we couldn't see because of the inflammation. My daughter also use her retainer religiously and still the LEFT part of her teeth relapsed. Our guess is that they release her before time. We believe she needed to stay more time on braces. They did not move her teeth during the pandemic and still they release her as soon as we pay off. The contract says that they guarantee that whatever problems shows up during the one year period after the release they was going to fixed it. And they didn't. The doctor only adjust the retainer two or three times and that didn't help at all. It didn't close any space. The doctor postpone fixing it until the end of the contract and now he says that in order for him to fixed it, we need to pay him extra money when he could have fixed at NO cost to us before the end of the contract. Not only that, the plastic retainer doesn't fit and she only has one acrylic retainer to use for now. If for some reason my daughter brake her retainer, she doesn't have a replacement retainer to use during an emergency. The reason why she doesn't have the plastic retainer is because when we find out about the space, they did a new impression of her teeth and the doctor modified the plastic retainer and he did it so tight. I remember how he force so much to tried to put in my daughter mouth but when my daughter tried to put them in the house she couldn't because it was too tight. And then they tried to blame on my daughter for not using a retainer that does not fit because it was modify during the impression. That is a NEGLIGENCE. This doctor tried hard to jeopardize our daughter teeth. Later I am going to upload pictures of her teeth so you can see it. Not worth the money we spend there. Totally regret. Shame on you Dr. Grider and your incompetent staff.

Dr.grider and his staff has been wonderful with me , they are amazing is the best brackets clinic I ever been , I had a huge list of orthodontist brackets but God send me with him and was the best decision I ever took , his staff always called me to remember my appointments and they did a wonderful job with my teeth . This clinic deserve more than 5 stars , if I had to go again I would .

When I asked for recommendations on Ortho I got a huge list, did lots of research and ended up worth Dr Grider. From Nancy in the front to seeing Dr Grider, everyone there is so pleasant and Did such a great job with my son. Before even starting the braces process, we had to go through a lot so my son was very nervous but they made him feel comfortable. We'll be back at it again for round two in a few years. I highly recommend.

The staff really cares and gets to know the customers by name. Dr. Grinder is very nice. With having 2 daughters that will need a ton of time in his chair, I am grateful for their kindness and compassion. Location is also a plus.

Three of my kids have been treated at Grider Orthodontics and we have been so pleased. Teeth are straight, staff is ALWAYS friendly and competent, Dr. Grider is pleasant, patient, efficient, and funny with my wacky teenagers! He always provides the best care with a good sense of humor!

Dr. Grider is the best! I've had experience with another orthodontic practice (with my older child), and there is no comparison! He treats the kids with respect and I never hear complaints about "having to go to the orthodontist!" My daughter loves the assistants, and they always have great conversations. The office staff is always friendly and helpful, and I actually look forward to our visit. My daughter's teeth are straight and beautiful! I would highly recommend Grider Orthodontics!

Dr. Grider and his staff have been amazing! Three of my four children have been been treated by Dr. Grider and we have been very pleased!! Would highly recommend. He pays special attention to detail and takes pride in the final outcome. Couldn't be happier!
