Dr. Pedro Avendao graduated with honors from the University of Chile. There he also served as a clinical instructor in fixed prosthodontics, crowns, bridges, as well as implants training for the International Team for Implantology Straumann (ITI).
Prior to coming to California, he served as the director of a group of clinical practices in Santiago, Chile where he focused on Implants and Oral Rehabilitation. He is an active member of numerous dental societies in which he participates in lectures and continued education focused on Endodontics, Oral Surgery, and Implants. He assisted in a course on Implant Maxi at the Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry. He is a member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry since 2011. Dr. Avendao enjoys mountain skiing and spending time with his family.Skill and compassion go hand in hand when providing exceptional patient care. As a dental professional, I stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide the most current treatment options for my patients. As a doctor, I recognize that my patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in myself and my team.That is just one of many reasons why I value each and every patient relationship.

This place was AMAZING! The customer service was TOP TIER, and the Staff there are all very polite and professional. I especially appreciated the receptionist. She was very welcoming and helpful. I would DEFINITELY recommend this dentist to EVERYONE needing work done. You will be VERY HAPPY that you chose Gresel Dental Hayward.

I had a good visit at Gresel Dental earlier this week. The dental assistant that worked with the certified dentist was especially friendly. I'll be returning for follow up work soon.

Gresel was a clean, straightforward dental office. Recently, my experiences at dental offices have been filled with "customer services" I do not want or need. Soothing music in my ears, massaging my hands (???), etc. For someone who does not enjoy the dentist, these additional services don't help. Dr. Gresel took x-rays of my 3 cracked teeth (need caps), said he was going to clean my teeth, did, and I left. Cost? $0.00 I am returning for the caps in a few weeks. Simple, straightforward, low drama.

I highly recommend this dentist. They have a nice, clean, and well lighted office. The staff is well mannered and cheerful. Dr. Avendano has a calming effect and I knew I was in good care.

Staff are friendly and efficient. The Doctor is very thorough on dental procedures. So much better than previous dental offices visited since retirement. Will definitely keep this dental clinic for my dental needs.

I've now been to this dentist twice. I love how gentle he is. This place is great. They don't try to upsell me things outside of my insurance that I don't need. He never criticizes my lack of flossing, he just encourages me nicely. It's such a different experience than my last few Dentist. So glad my insurance changed and recommended me going here.

My insurance transferred me to Gresel Dental after my previous dentist retired. The transition has been wonderful and very smooth. The staff is friendly, helpful and caring. Dr. Avendano is very knowledgable and does great work. They explain treatments thoroughly and focus on patient comfort. This is also the most beautiful dentist office I've ever been to! It feels so fancy coming here, I love it.
