Dr. Freed received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from SUNY at Buffalo. He continued his general dentistry education during four years of service with the US Navy, earning Lieutenant Commander ranking. Dr. Freed spends most of his free time with his wife, Rebecca, daughter, Lauren, and son, Ethan. He also enjoys playing the piano, as well as racquetball and golf.
