Gregory Potempa Doctor of Dental Surgery Dr. Potempa is a Doctor of Dental Surgery and a founding member of the Quad Cities Association for the study of Orthodontics. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign, Urbana and Loyola University School of Dentistry.Dr. Greg spent three years as a Dentist in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Spangdahlem AFB, West Germany. While at 'Spang,' he was the base Endodontist and Preventative Dental Officer. Dr. Greg started his practice in Warrenville in January, 1979. Dr. Greg has lived in Wheaton, Warrenville and Naperville since 1977. He has 2 daughters, Courtney, who is a Physician Assistant and Ashley, who is a 3rd grade teacher in the Elmhurst School District.
He and his Life-partner Jane enjoy fine dining, dancing and traveling, especially cross-country trips on their Harley Davidson Road Glide. Lastly, Jane and Greg spend a lot of time spoiling their 3 granddaughters!
Marian Cosgrove Registered Dental Hygienist Marian graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor of Science degree and has been a practicing dental hygienist with Dr. Potempa since 1980. Our patients love her gentle but thorough touch. Marian loves working with all of our patients and seeing their excitement when they have completed their treatment including everything from whitening to replacing their old metal fillings.Marian and her husband Tim live in Warrenville, where Tim grew up. They have 2 grown daughters, Molly and Kelly.
Sarah First Registered Dental Hygienist Sarah graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and has been a dental hygienist with Dr. Potempa since 1999. Our patients appreciate her thorough but gentle cleanings and friendly personality. Sarah loves the opportunity to get to know patients, and most importantly make a difference in their oral health.
Cindy Odle Dental Assistant Cindy graduated from Elgin Community Colleges Dental Assisting program in 1999. She worked in oral surgery for 12 years and came to work for Dr. Potempa in 2012. Our patients like her friendly personality and her ability to make them comfortable. She enjoys getting to know all the patients and catching up each time they come in.Cindy and her husband live in South Elgin and has two sons.
Carol Provancal Office Administrator Carol started working in our office in November of 2018. She comes to us with over 30 years of experience in the dental field. Carol is in charge of scheduling and insurance processing. She is looking forward to getting to know our family of patients. Carol and her husband live in Sandwich, close to 3 of their grandchildren. Between Carol and her husband, they have 5 grown daughters and 10 grandchildren. They enjoy being able to be involved in the grandkids lives and attend their school and sporting events.

I've known Dr Gregory Potempa since 1998. He did amazing work with all the issues I had with my teeth. I've lived in a lot a places and been to lot of dentists all over the country and I have to say Dr. Potempa is the best!! Not to mention the great sense of humor he has which is so contagious. Been going to Dr. Potempa for many years. Very professional and qualified. Biannual visits for check-ups and cleaning have been a great way for the whole family to maintain healthy teeth.

All the workers in Dr. Potempas office are very personable and make you feel very comfortable when you enter the dental office. He has been there for me twice now when i needed some emergency work done and when I'm there just for the normal cleanings. I called and he fit me into his busy schedule to fix both the emergency issues the day i called. Thank you Dr. P and associates now and in the future procedures.

Our family has been patients of Dr. Potempa for decades! Not only is Dr. Potempa an outstanding dentist who takes his time with each of his patients, his staff is also very friendly providing excellent service in a relaxed, family friendly environment. It is rare to have every member of a family enjoy going for dental visits, but our family looks forward to going to Dr. Potempa's office.

Dr Potempa has been the only dentist I've ever had in my entire life, and I wouldn't change that for anything. Truly one of the most genuine and fun people to be around. I would prefer to not have to get my teeth cleaned more than twice a year, but if I were forced to, getting a few extra minutes to yuk it up with the Doc would be a welcomed consolation. Could not recommend this place more!

In my sixty-some years, I've seen a number of dentists, but none I would rather endorse than Gregory Potempa. In the fifteen years he's been my dentist, I can't think of a single time I have been dissatisfied with his care. Most recently, he did restorative work on my teeth, for which I give him stellar marks. He went the extra mile to ensure my dignity through the process, and I am very pleased with the final result. Through the years, he has always done well describing options and procedures. Now he offers a pay-by-the-month "concierge" plan (I love it!) that reduces my cost for dental care. My appreciation to the excellent staff and to a skillful dentist with a great sense of humor. -- Sue D

I have been seeing Dr. Greg and Marian, my dental hygienist, since I was 3 years old! I now bring my own two children to see him as well and I wouldn't have it any other way. The entire staff is warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. Dr. Greg, in addition to truly loving dentistry and always keeping up with this ever changing field, has a wicked sense of humor. He makes patients feel at ease and the entire staff takes the time to get to know their patients. If you are looking for a knowledgeable dentistry practice who not only takes great care of your teeth but also cares about you as a person as opposed to just another mouth to treat, Dr. Greg is the dentist for you!

Dr. Greg Potempa is the best! I was referred to him by a neighbor and love his practice. Dr Potempa keeps up on all of the latest trends and technologies. He is friendly and professional and does everything: routine care, x-rays, fillings, root canals, crowns, veneers, invisible braces, referrals for more serious concerns, etc. Greg is great with patients of all ages. And his dental hygienist, Marion, is the most thorough and gentle hygienist I have ever seen. This practice is five stars all the way and I definitely recommend it.

As a specialist I want to disclose that yes I work closely with Dr. Greg Potempa. But I felt this 5-star review should be written as it comes from the heart and from seeing results and a caring general practitioner over the last 32 years. As in any profession there is a bell curve of care. But, what bonds us dentally is taking care of each and every patient with the best treatment, care, a caring team , and only doing what is ethically right for that patient. The dentistry is done at an A+ level which is excellent. The reviews below mine and those that will come are full of adjectives that say it all: "Awesome, Friendly, Fantastic, Best, The Guy to See" and from one, "I moved and now drive an hour to see Dr. Potempa." It doesn't get any better than that. If you are looking for a GREAT general restorative and aesthetic dentist that cares, Dr. Greg Potempa is it. Oh and by the way, he is also an AIr Force Veteran!
