Dr. Kangas is a 1986 graduate of the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. He grew up as a typical American kid in the Detroit area and worked his way through college and dental school. He has been practicing dentistry for over 25 years, more than 21at his current location in Madison Heights. He has lived in Royal Oak for the past 26 years with his wife, Mary. They have three children who have all attended the Royal Oak schools where Dr. Kangas has been an involved parent. Many of his patients have come to his practice through this association with the schools and community. Most of his patients will tell you he is the gentlest dentist they have ever encountered.

Dr Kangas is a great dentist and her been around for 30 or more years, my wife went to him as a child. He is fair and doesn't try to sell you uneccesary crowns or fluoride treatments. If you need fluoride or a water pick treatment his assistant just does it. He always does what he can to fix the tooth with restorative treatments before recommending a crown or root canal. He is a little old school which explains the fact that he only had 2 reviews prior to this one....He doesn't use computers, there are none in his office and all their patient billing is done by hand, Its kinda cute actually. I recommend this Dentist to everyone!

Dr. Kangas office squeezed me in next day as a new patient due to tooth pain and sure enough it is infected and needs to be pulled out.. He has very very excellent bedside manners and a caring dentist!!!

Best dentist ever!!! Been going to him for 35 years and bring my kids now. They love Dr. Kangas. He's a funny guy! His prices are so reasonable. All his staff are awesome!

Stumbled upon this dentist office when I moved to Michigan for work. Wow. Awesome care. Awesome bedside manner. Very thorough. The dentist is great and the dental assistant is absolutely amazing. Very very glad I found this place.

Great dentist. Dr. Kengas is an honest person. You wont have to worry about any fraud with children. He has been my dentist forever. Trust him with everything. The dental assistant Cris is amazing. She is very nice and helpful. Love love love everything about this dentist!

I've been a patient of Dr. Kangas for about 20 years. Him and the ladies are always kind, courteous and willing to do what they can to help. I'd recommend them to anyone that likes the personal office feel over the big name dental offices where it has a cattle call feel.
