Dr. Borrowdale opened his practice in Folsom, California, in the fall of 1988 in the Raleys Plaza on East Bidwell Street. He started the practice from scratch and worked two days in his own practice and then worked at three different offices to fill up the week. Within six months, Dr. Borrowdale was exclusively practicing at his own office.
In 1994 he out grew the Raleys Plaza location and moved to a professional building on Creekside Drive. Then in November of 2003 he moved his office again due to the growth, to his current location on Hana Way. The facility has eight treatment rooms, and our staff includes Registered Dental Hygienists and an associate General Dentist, Dr. Vance. Dr. Borrowdale also has an Oral Surgeon that work in his office a few days a week, Dr. Jackson. The oral surgeon takes care of extractions, places implants, and removes wisdom teeth. Dr. Borrowdale is pleased to have served Folsoms Dental needs and is looking forward to many more years of providing top dental care to Folsom, California.

Dr. Borrowdale received his DDS degree from Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry, in 1985. After graduating from dental school, he practiced dentistry with his cousin in Southern California as well as taught at the dental school for 3 years. In November 1988, he opened a new office in the Raley Plaza.
He has provided quality family and cosmetic dentistry for the Folsom community for over 20 years. Dr. Borrowdales professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the Califonia Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
Dr. Borrowdale gives back to the community by sponsoring various youth groups. In 2002 and again in 2008, Dr. Borrowdale spent his vacation providing missionary dentistry for the population of Roatan, Honduras. He does international dentistry in Mexico and Puerto Rico. Dr. Borrowdale is active with the local dental society and is involved with various committees that support area dental care.
After earning her B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior, from UC Davis Dr. Vance attended the UCSF School of Dentistry. During her time at UCSF, Dr. Vance was active in organized dentistry, representing her profession at national meetings, and continues this commitment to organized dentistry now as a tripartite member of American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Sacrament District Dental Society.
After dental school, Dr. Vance also completed a hospital-based general practice residency in Bronx, NY, where she treated medically-compromised patients, as well as gained experience in specialties of oral surgery and endodontics.
To Dr. Vance, education is important and she stays current with the new technology and trends in dentistry by attending continuing education courses. Her personal practice philosophy is one of quality, compassion and stressing the importance of patient education. She is committed to providing the best care possible for her patients.

staff is always changing, charge for services not done, cleaning doesn't get teeth clean, do extras that don't need doing. Not personalized treatment. just want yoyur money.

Dr. Borrowdale and team are awesome! Cleanings, I am always in and out within an hour and back to work. The team is efficient and courteous. I switched to Dr. Borrowdale because my previous dentist kept advising procedures that after going to Dr. Borrowdale, were not necessary. We always review a procedure to determine if there is a need for it or do we keep an eye on it.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Barrowdale and his staff! I was so pleased on my first visit that I referred my mother-in-law to his practice. I have had 5 dentists in my life and this is by far my favorite experience to date. My children feel very comfortable during their visits as well. Everyone is tremendously kind and professional. Doctor Borrowdale is the best- he saw me after hours and took time to look into my mysterious sensative tooth pain more recently. I've been going to his office for ten plus years and have always been satisfied with my teeth cleaning and procedures. His hygentist Nina does an incredible job on my teeth and I couldn't ask for anything better! Top notch service!

Incredible staff! I have been going for years now and the one thing I admire most is consistency...... wether it's teeth cleaning or an implant and anything in between they are always friendly, knowledgeable and most of all they are gentle all of it is consistent and I can count on it!
