A native Texan and an alumnus of the University of Oklahoma, College of Dentistry, Dr. Gregory Wright has been serving North Texans dental needs since 1989. After graduation, he first came to the area as an associate in a practice in Grapevine. A few years later, Dr. Wright and his wife, Cindy, a registered dental hygienist, opened their current office in Southlake. Since 1992, Dr. Wright and his team have been serving Tarrant County families in all of their dental needs.
Many of Dr. Wrights professional achievements have centered around his work with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). This organization promotes clinical excellence, ongoing training and cooperative learning, with a focus on ethics-driven cosmetic dentistry. As an Accredited Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Wright is one of the top cosmetic dentists in North Texas. Blending extensive experience, hands on skill, the best technology and materials, and an artists eye, Dr. Wright has helped hundreds of patients enjoy a newfound lease on life and self-confidence through his cosmetic dental work.
Since graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2001 and joining our Southlake dental practice in 2002, Dr. Victoria Heron has continued to hone her general and restorative dentistry skills in order to provide exceptional care for patients of all ages. She has received post-graduate training at San Antonios Audie Murphy VA Hospital in a range of subjects, including endodontics. This advanced training qualifies her to perform most of the root canal treatments in our office, even complex cases (although, if needed, she will refer to an endodontist when its in the patients best interest).
Because she feels that true clinical excellence is only achieved through a lifelong dedication to education, Dr. Heron takes over 80 hours of continuing education each year and has taken over 100 hours of continuing education in the field of esthetic dentistry. Among Dr. Herons many achievements, her Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry is her greatest source of professional pride. She accomplished this prestigious honor by:
Dr. Heron is also a member of several other professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Texas Dental Association, and the Ft. Worth Dental Society. A respected member of the Metroplex dental community, her peers have selected Dr. Heron as a Top General Dentist in Fort Worth Magazine since 2006.
Dr. Wright and Dr. Heron are proud and excited to welcome Dr. Alan Williams to the practice. Dr. Williams attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated near the top of his class from the prestigious University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. With extensive training at the Texas Medical Center, the largest in the world, Dr. Williams brings diverse surgical and restorative experience, with a keen eye to detail.
Dr. Williams has special interest and training in the field of cosmetic dentistry and was one of only 25 individuals globally to be recognized by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry for clinical excellence in 2020. Dr. Williams is passionate about dentistry and helping others reach their oral health goals. He truly cares about every patient and greets everyone with his friendly personality.

Dr. Wright has been my dentist for over 12 years. I think the dentists, hygienists and front office are all great. I have seen all three dentists in this practice and I have never had better care. At age 82 I think I'm qualified to say this is the best practice.

This is a fantastic dental practice. Appointments are timely, all three of the dentists here know their practice well, the entire staff is respectful and professional and true masters of their trade. They actually answer the phone when you call and are able to provide records and billing information without having to contact an outside third party provider. This is almost unheard of these days but is a true reflection of the members of this practice to put their patients first. I feel lucky to have found them.

UPDATE: I've now been going to this office for a couple of years, driving to Southlake from my home in Dallas. I've had quite a bit of work done, and over time I've ended up being seen by each of the dentists in this practice, and all I can is, this group is THE BEST. Each of them is a highly talented, caring, compassionate professional who provides first-rate dental care. I highly recommend Wright Smiles. Dr. Wright is a highly talented, caring dentist, whom I recommend without any hesitation. Who knew that breaking a tooth could be lucky? But it was lucky for me, because that's how I found Dr. Wright. A few weeks ago, while flossing, I broke out part of a filling in one of my front teeth. I wasn't in any pain, but the hole looked awful and the tooth felt so brittle and fragile that I worried that the tooth itself would break. So I went in the next day to see my regular dentist (not Dr. Wright) to have the filling replaced. To my dismay, my dentist said the filling couldn't be replaced, and that the only solution was to crown a minimum of 4 of my front teeth. When I protested that just one tooth was broken, she said a minimum of 4 would have to be done to get the crowns to match. The estimate was very expensive, so I decided I wanted to get a second opinion. I went to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists website, where I found Dr. Wright, who has the highest credential the AACD awards: Dr. Wright is an Accredited Fellow. His staff was friendly and helpful when I called, and I was happy that I was able to complete all of the new patient paperwork online. But I was really impressed when I actually went in for my appointment. Dr. Wright introduced himself and asked me to tell him what brought me to the office. He listened patiently. He was the third dentist whom I consulted, but he was the only one who immediately told me, upfront, what the approximate cost would be, per tooth, for crowns. That was incredibly helpful, and I was impressed that he did that. In addition, once Dr. Wright began to explain various options (and he said there were several) Ashley handed me a mirror, so I could see in my mouth what we were talking about as Dr. Wright examined and discussed each of the 4 teeth in question. He didn't try to sell me on any particular option. He explained each one, and emphasized that what I want to do is entirely up to me. And last but not least, as he was finishing up, he asked if I would like to have the broken tooth repaired "while you're here anyway". My dentist had told me that a repair wouldn't be possible, so I was pretty much blown away when Dr. Wright did it then and there, and he did it for no charge. He just said, "I wouldn't want you leaving my office with that broken tooth." He did beautiful work. The repair is better than the original work. The fact that he was able to repair that tooth, seemingly effortlessly, in just a few minutes, and that he cared enough to offer to do so, when I'm not even a regular patient (YET), convinced me that he's the dentist I need to be seeing. I highly recommend Dr. Wright.
