Over the years, Dr. Ware has given away countless fresh eggs from his own farm chickens to patients, friends and family. We love being a part of the Watkinsville community, and are truly honored by the trust our patients have placed with us.
Dr. Greg Ware has served the dental health needs of Watkinsville and surrounding Athens and Oconee communities for nearly two decades. Over the years, Dr. Ware has become known as the 'Chicken Dentist' because of his light-hearted, friendly and reassuring approach that is welcomed by his patients, even the most fearful. And, he also raises chickens and loves to share fresh eggs with his team and patients!
Dr. Ware attended the University of Georgia in Athens and graduated with a B.S. in Microbiology, Micro biochemistry, Nutrition in 1989. He continued his studies at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 1994.
'I really love my job! I like to make people happy. I enjoy my patients as people and consider all health care providers, including myself, to be public servants. I try to provide better than average service (treatment) for average fees. I hope to have the choice to retire someday but not want to make that choice.

I've been coming to this practice for 20yrs. I did moved 15 yrs ago from the area of his practice but I make the hour plus drive bc he's the best dentist. He listens & cares about your health & smile.

I hate going to the dentist, and put off going for many years until I had to. I broke a tooth and randomly chose a dentist close by. I lucked out that it was Dr. Greg Ware. His staff is extremely helpful and courteous and Dr. Ware provides a stress-free friendly atmosphere that relieves dental anxiety. He explains procedures thoroughly and patiently so you understand your treatment. He is also funny (occasionally) :) I wish I had Dr. Ware as a dentist growing up as I would have skipped fewer visits. Highly recommended for those who dread going to the dentist.

This was my first visit to Dr. Ware. It was a very good experience. I was seen on time and there was almost no wait between the dental cleaning and Dr. Ware's exam. Leah, my dental hygienist was great...gentle and thorough. She explained everything to me very well. Dr. Ware is personable and put me right at ease. I didn't have any problems, but if I did, I would be very confident in him resolving any issues. Highly recommend

I moved to Watkinsville 2+ years ago and finally decided it was time to find a local dentist. Researched dentists in Watkinsville and read the reviews of Dr. Ware. Rolled the dice and made an appointment A great decision and choice. The entire experience..the staff..Dr. Ware..was just the best I have had in a dentist office. They are funny..professional..caring..and have a family working environment. Nothing fancy just a great "home feel".... No Dentist Stress Robert McConnell. 5 Stars

These are good folks, Dr. Ware and the entire staff are attentative and professional, very comfortable environment. I feel like a person rather than a "patient" or a "customer". I had a root canal done today (first ever) and it was totally painless, I couldn't have been more comfortable if we had been in my living room doing the procedure. Highly recommend Dr. Ware if you're looking for a new dentist.

I was so comfortable from the moment I walked through the door. Dr. Ware is absolutely the best dentist I have ever been too. I have always been afraid of going to the dentist but felt at ease with Dr Ware from the beginning. He is also very reasonable, I was pleasantly surprised when I checked out. I would highly recommend this practice for everyone.

I was searching for a new dentist and Greg Ware and his staff came highly recommended! I have to say that they not only met but exceeded expectations. Everyone's always a little apprehensive when going to a new dentist but right from the first lady who greeted me, I felt at ease. The whole process went smoothly and I scheduled to come back and see them for my next cleaning!

I've been going to Dr. Ware for decades and he is the best dentist ever. I was lucky to find him after many years being terrified of dentists. Dr. Ware always makes sure I am at ease and uses gas if I am extra anxious. I have needed a ton of intensive work: bridges, crowns, implants. I have been extremely happy with all of it. Regular cleanings are no problem, too. All of the employees go out of their way to be kind and make your experience great. I have recommended him to friends and co-workers. Don't hesitate to make an appointment.

I found myself needing a new dentist for my children after having a bad experience with another. Dr. Ware was recommended and I chose to give him a try after reading the reviews online. We were not disappointed! The office staff made us feel welcomed from the first phone call. Dr. Ware was so good with my son. My son was nervous about the appointment but now can't wait until the next time he gets to go. I definitely recommend this dental practice!

Words cant express how great I feel about my smile. I've been to many dentist in my life but never felt comfortable enough to do the work needed to correct my smile. From the moment I walked in the door for the first visit, until my treatment was completed, I could feel their passion for the work they do. The whole staff made sure I felt confident with their words, quality of work and most of all my comfort, wants and needs throughout this process. I had extensive dental work done and was happy with the outcome each and every visit. Dr. Ware and his staff are wonderful. I cant say thank you enough for changing my smile and the way I feel when I look at myself in the mirror.
