Dr. D. Greg LoPourwas born in Lovington, New Mexico and attended Abilene Christian Universityon a basketball scholarship. He received his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1995. He is passionate about servingthe needs of his patients, his staff and the surroundingcommunity. Dr. LoPour has and continues to hold various elected positions within the dental associations and societies that enhance, improve and educate within New Mexico.These positions include Chair of Continuing Education for the Albuquerque District Dental Society,the Peer Review Committee, the Board of Trustees and the House of Delegates for the New Mexico Dental Society. Currently, Dr. LoPour serves as the President of the New Mexico Dental Association (NMDA). He is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy Class of 2008.
He has been awarded the Top Cosmetic Dentist as voted by peers in Albuquerque The Magazine 2007, 2008,2009, 2010, 2013, 2014and has consistently been voted among the Top Dentists ofAlbuquerque 2006 2015. He has been recognized and received awards as one Americas Top 100 Dentists 2005, 2006,2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015.He was nominated for theprestigious 2016 New Mexico Ethics in Business Award.
Having spent 20 years immersed in dentistry, I have come to realize I wear many hats in my business. Im no longer just a highly skilled technician: Im also a counselor, an educator, a patient advocate, a manager and a financial advisor within my practice. My staff and I realize many patients fear the great unknown. Specifically, they fear what they dont knowregarding the condition of their teeth, as well as the level of discomfort they believe will beinvolved with treatment based on previous traumatic experiences in the past.
Many patients also fear the unknown monetary investmentand time investment that could be involvedtocomplete their treatment. As a counselor, it is my job to listen thoughtfully toall the fears and concerns each of my patientsvoice so that I can thoughtfully and honestly address their fears and offer guidance that is 100% in their best interest, not mine. As an educator, it is my job toprovide a comprehensive treatment plan that thepatient needs, deserves and understands so he or she can make a well-informed decision regarding their choice to pursue the treatment plan or choose otherwise.As a skilled technician and patient advocate, it is my job to execute the patients treatment with integrity and precision, as well as to establish a continuing care program designed to preserve their dentition and maintain the level of optimal oral health they have achieved or wish to achieve. My philosophy is that each individual patient is the captain of his or her ship. I am here to help guide and provide maps anda compass, butI am not the captain.
Once they have achieved a state of full oral health, they can look forward to a maintenance program of visiting the hygienist twice a year and for the most part can anticipate no more dentistry. Paige LoPour Paige earned her Masters in Medical Anthropology from Southern Methodist University and has worked alongside her husband, Dr. D. Greg LoPour, for nearly 20 years. Co-owner of LoPour & Associates DDS Smiles By Design Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, she believes it is a privilege to own a small local business in Albuquerque and and even greater privilege to work alongside her husband and their amazing dental team. She is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy and has beennominated for Women of Influence and Haute Honors Awards. Juliette Juliette has worked for us for over 20 years. She always has a smile on her face and enjoys each and every day. She and her husband have enjoyed raising their 3 boys. Having weathered many harsh conditions from freezing rain to Sauna days, they have faithfully and cheerfully supported all their kids events, from sports to music and are proud to welcome their first daughter-in-law to the family. Our lives are enriched because of the long time friendship and professional relationship with Juliette and her family.

Laura(Certified Lab Technician) Laura has worked for our office for over 20years as our lab ceramist. We are one of only a few dental offices in the surrounding area that have our very own lab and lab ceramist. Laura is an artist both clinically and at the office. Dr. LoPour and Laura work together with the patient to create a look that is aesthetically pleasing and individually complimentary to the patients teeth. Your smile will be natural, beautiful and properly functioning. Outside of the office, Laura is also an artist and enjoys painting watercolors. She and her husband are enjoying being grandparents.
Shelley(Registered Dental Hygienist) Shelley has worked with us as part of our dental team for nearly 15 years and has been serving patients as a registered dental hygienist for almost 30 years. Her commitment to patient care, patient education and providing the highest possible skill while maintaining patient comfort is one of the best we have ever had the pleasure to encounter. No matter the day of the week or hour of the day, Shelley provides each patient with the same level of excellence she would provide for herself or her family. She and her husband have two beautiful girls and one handsome boy who all excelled in sports and academics at some of the highest levels possible.

Brandy (Certified Dental Assistant) Brandy has worked for our dental office for over 10 years. While she is trained as a dental assistant, she also works closely with our hygienist, Shelley, as a hygiene assistant from time-to-time. Brandy never misses an opportunity to ask her teammates if she can help them in some way and you will rarely ever see her without a huge beautiful smile on her face. She is the Sun in our office even on cloudy days. She is always one of the first to work in the morning and one of the last to leave. She is fun, energetic and loves spending time with her husband and young daughter. Her laugh and smile makes her a favorite among our patients and our staff.
Marissa (Certified Dental Assistant) Marissa is a wonderful addition to our team. She began working and training at our office as a Sterilization Tech when she was 18 years old in 2017. Now she is a Certified Dental Assistant and we are so proud of her. She is kind, caring, dedicated, skilled and wonderful with our patients.
Shelby (Certified Dental Assistant) You will see Shelby moving side-by-side with our hygienist, Shelley, as well as many of our Hygiene patients as she is our certified dental assistant who works in assisted hygiene. She is a wonderful compliment to our hygiene program. Hard working, always positive and loves interacting and connecting with all of our wonderful patients.
