Mpls.St.Paul Magazine asked Twin Cities dentists to nominate other dentists they consider to be exceptional in the field - peers they would consult themselves if they were in need of a specialized dental professional. After they received nominations, they then grouped candidates into specialties and evaluated numerous factors. A few of these factors include (but are not limited to) peer recognition, professional achievement, and disciplinary history. Dental professionals who had the highest score from each grouping were invited to serve on a blue-ribbon panel to evaluate the other candidates.
At the end of the process, Mpls.St.Paul selected the 2020 Top Dentists, choosing only the dentists who'd acquired the highest point totals from the surveys, research, and blue-ribbon panel review. The final list contains approximately 10% of active dentists in the 10-county metro area.
