Dr. Wilson was born and raised in Myrtle Beach, SC. After graduating from Myrtle Beach High School, he attended the University of South Carolina receiving his BS in Biology in 1990. After considering an attempt at film school and working on a Masters in religious studies, he was led to dental school by the advice of a friend. He enrolled at the Medical University of SC where he graduated with his degree in 1997. After working in a corporate practice for several years, he decided to purchase his own practice and moved to Greenville to start Greenville Smiles.
Dr. Wilson is a member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, Greenville County Dental Society, Greenville Implant Study Club and Seattle Study Club.
Dr. Wilson has one daughter, whose greatest passion is riding horses. On a typical fall weekend, if you cannot get his attention, it is either because he is watching his Gamecocks play football or his daughter ride and jump her horse.

I've been a patient of Dr Wilson's for over a decade and he still continues to shock me with his skill and on-site equipment. I broke a tooth and expected a multi-visit ordeal but instead I came in and walked out with my permanent crown within 2 hours. The cleaning appointment started on time and was finished in 45 minutes with X-rays and all. The cleaning was thorough but also comfortable. Dr . Wilson and the rest of his staff were pleasant as always.

I had another great visit to Greenville Smiles and as always I was treated like family! I've been a patient for over ten years and in addition to consistently receiving quality dental care I'm always greeted by friendly team members on arrival and brought back to the treatment area, on time or before, by a qualified dental team member. The office is so nice and it is run very efficiently. Dr. Wilson addresses all my concerns and I trust in his recommendations for my care. Dr. Wilson has been my dentist for 20 years! He is a great dentist, especially since I am not the greatest patient, true story. His office is super clean and welcoming and his dentistry is painless with a nice side of good humor. You won't find a better dentist in Greenville! Today I got to meet Ernie for my cleaning...he was SO friendly and gentle and told me what he was doing and why throughout the entire process which a hygienist has never done for me before. Of course, seeing Dr. Wilson afterwards was also awesome as he always takes great care of me! I've been a patient here for 18 years now and wouldn't change dentists for anything!

Ernie not only does a great job he walks you through the process and gives you advice and education along the way. I've literally never had such great care from a dentist (Dr. Wilson) or hygienist (Ernie)!!! I had most anxiety from changing from the dentist company I grew up with but with my dental insurance changing may have been the best thing.
