This is to update you about what this pandemic is doing to the way we conduct dental care and business. Unfortunately, our Greenfield office could not endure the financial devastation this pandemic has caused us. I could not afford to outfit this office in the way I feel it should be done to safeguard my patients and staff. I have given my 30 day notice to Santa Lucia Shopping Center.

My Salinas office has now been outfitted in the safest manner available: all operatories are now isolated with curtains, much like a hospital does. All floor and walls are wiped after each patient. I have purchased expensive vaccums to remove dental aerosols in a safe manner. No suppies or equipment that is not being used for the procedure is allowed in the operatory. Front office is isolated now with plexiglass. We have enough PPE stockpiled (especially now that we have the Greenfield offices PPEs) to protect us and our patients. I have eliminated all paper forms. They will now all be conducted electronically via your cell phone, thus reducing contact time and use of pens.

What does that mean to my current Greenfield patients? We will continue to care for you with the same professional and caring attention as we have been for the past 29 years. All your information is safely guarded in our digital servers and we will take them to our Salinas office. In order to accommodate for extra travel time, we will keep our office open later and start at 8 am. If you have transportation problems we can arrange and help you pay for an Uber ride. I have contacted colleagues in Greenfield and Gonzalez advising them of what is happening and requesting that they allow me to open one day a month in their facility to care for those patients who flatly cannot come to Salinas, but so far I have not had a positive response (or no response at all since it seems I am the only one who is still working nowadays). I have made myself available 24 hours a day to take care of your urgent needs while in this pandemic. I handle all calls and texts personally. Be safe.

Esto es para comunicar lo que esta pasando en medio de esta pandemia y como ha afectado la forma que atendemos su cuidado dental. Desafortunadamente, nuestra oficina de Greenfield no pudo soportar las presiones financieras que esta pandemia nos ha aventado. Este local es Viejo, no es mio y le tendria que invertir muchisimo dinero (que no tengo y que se perderia, puesto que la propiedad no es mia) para poder atender a mis pacientes y mantener mis empleados seguros en el nuevo mundo que se ha desatado despues y durante de esta pandemia mundial.

Mi oficina de Salinas ya esta equipada como yo pienso es necesario para poder atenderlos seguramente. Todos los operatorios estan aislados con cortinas y estan capacitados ha estar desinfectados en total despues de cada paciente. He tambien instalado barreras de plexiglass en todos lados, especialmente enfrente para protegerlos. He comprado maquinas caras, para extraer el aerosol que es tan peligroso que se genera durante una sesion dental. Estas maquinas chupan el aerosol y lo desinfecta con luz untravioleta. Todos los pacientes son cubiertos con guantes, mascarillas y cubre-caras cuando es necesario. El cuarto de espera se ha eliminado y todo esta siendo convertido a digital para no tener que usar formas en papel (sera hecho por medio de telefonos celulares, para disminuir el tiempo de contacto y el uso de plumas).

Que es lo que esto significa para los pacientes existentes? Nosotros continuaremos a atender sus necesidades dentales igualmente que lo hemos hechos en los ultimos 29 anos que hemos existido en Greenfield. Toda su informacion sera transferida a Salinas. Para poderle atender aun con el tiempo extendido por la distancia entre las dos ciudades, vamos a extender nuestro horario para empezar a las 8 am y tambien tarminar mas tarde. Si es que no puede conseguir transportacion nosotros le podemos conseguir un ride de Uber y le ayudamos a pagarlo. Yo he contactado colegas en Greenfield y Gonzales avizandoles de lo que esta pasando par ver si me permiten trabajar en su oficina un dia al mes para poder atendender pacientes que no pueden viajar tan lejos (pero desgraciadamente no he encontrado nadie todavia). Me he mantenido disponible 24 horas al dia para poder atender sus necesidades urgentes mientras que siga la pandemia. Yo respondo a todos los textos y llamadas personalmente y he formado forma de iniciar consultas Teleodontologas via Zoom, facetime, textos y skype. Cuidense.

Dr. Mireles graduated from the University of Southern California with an honors degree in Psychobiology in 1983. Dr. Mireles then went on to receive his dental degree from the University of California at San Francisco in 1987 where he also received special training in Oral Medicine. At the end of 1993 he finished a two year post-Graduate Training Program in Orthodontics. In 2003 he finished a one year course on advanced surgically assisted orthodontics.

In 2010, Dr. Mireles received his certification at UCLA to provide sleep dentistry via oral sedation. We are now able to see both children and adults under sedation when needed. In 2011, the office purchased a 3D Dental CAT Scan machine to enhance our ability to view dental problems, thus making us, once again one of the most technologically advanced dental offices in the area.
