Dr. Steven Gunnell DDS opened the doors of Greenfield Dental in 1971 and was joined by his brother-in-law Dr. Earl Duffy in 1980. In recent years both of their sons, Dr. Brannon Gunnell and Dr. Kyle Duffy, came to practice dentistry at Greenfield Dental.
They have a unique camaraderie and love working together. It makes for a fun work environment. The staff as well as the dentists are friendly and knowledgeable. Greenfield Dental has been serving thousands of patients since 1971 and they hope to carry on the legacy for many years to come.
Another positive aspect of our office at Greenfield Dental is that we are family owned and operated. This means that patients receive much more one on one care with our dentists where we share treatment options with the patient, and allow them to make the decision without any of the added pressure that corporate dental offices may apply.
Dr. Kyle Duffy graduated from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2014 and has been practicing ever since. Some of his most important goals as a dental care provider are to treat patients fairly, with compassion, and respect. He is often quoted as saying Theres no secret to what I do, I treat all people as I would expect to be treated. It is this philosophy that has allowed many patients to overcome fears of dental visits, and have a positive experience when they visit our office.
He is a native of Arizona and along with his wife Rachel have two daughters. Kyle enjoys the outdoors, hiking, fishing, golfing, and gardening. And when not outside he enjoys watching sports and being part of an annual bowling league.
Dr. Brannon Gunnell has been practicing dentistry at Greenfield Dental since 2007. He graduated from The University of Pacific Dental School in 2007. His goal is to make his patients feel good about themselves and give them a better quality of life. He prides himself in providing quality dental work at a fair and honest price. What he treasures most about dentistry is building relationships with patients that last a lifetime.
In his free time Dr. Gunnell loves to spend time with his wife Amanda and their two young children. You can often find them on adventures. As a family they frequently go to parks and enjoy being outside. Dr. Gunnell also loves bowling, golfing, and traveling.
Dr. Earl P. Duffy graduated from the Northwestern University Dental School in 1980. He has practiced as a general dentist here in Mesa for the last 40 years. He is married to his wife, Debbie, and has three boys and five grandchildren. He is an active member of the American Dental and Arizona Dental Associations. He teaches part-time as an adjunct faculty member at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Dr. Duffy enjoys woodworking, fishing, and off-roading.

Hands Down THE BEST OF THE BEST work here!!!! Dr. Gunnel has been tasked with my difficult "teeth issues" that are too long to list, but decided to embark on my journey without hesitation & Thank God he did! If you're looking for a dentist, look no further! **my previous review with more details* Nobody likes going to the dentist, I know I sure don't, unless you're a patient of Dr. Gunnell & Dr. Peterson!! Then you might actually enjoy yourself, well not might, you FOR SURE will. About a year ago I discovered I was "HIGHLY REACTIVE / ALLERGIC" to mercury & other dental materials, all of which were in my mouth. I needed to find a dentist that was A. located close to my home, since I'd be spending a lot of time there. B. Had some knowledge of what I was going through & would be able to get the right dental materials to put back in my mouth. & C. Reasonable / Fair pricing, homeopathic ( specialty) dentist's charge a small fortune for the removal of mercury and other dental materials!! I also found out that in most cases your dental insurance won't cover these types of procedures! It was going to be an arduous task getting everything removed & then replaced with the dental materials I was least reactive to! I was truly dreading EVERYTHING that was coming my way. Lot's of appointments, lot's of money, lot's of time spent in the dentists office! But, I have not one bad thing to say, not a single complaint, it's actually been quite enjoyable LoL. I'm almost done with my treatments & can't wait to start the healing process. Dr. Gunnell & Dr. Peterson & their ENTIRE OFFICE STAFF get 5 big HUGE sparkly STARS from ME!!! They truly are an AmaZinG group of people!

My hygienist was great, warm, knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns. Did a great job on cleaning my teeth. Dr Gunnell answered my questions as well and felt very comfortable with his input.

The BEST dentist I've ever been too. Dr.Duffy pulled my tooth with no pain at all. Affordable and great service from front desk to the assistant to Dr. I highly recommend this place.

As nervous as I was Dr Gunnell explained the procedure and I did calm down. Dr Gunnell and his assistant were very kind. He was recommended to me and I too will recommend him.

Dr. Gunnell is great along with his staff. When there's a problem with my teeth he always explains thoroughly and gives me a couple of options to fix! I'm a snowbird but always go to his office twice a year. The best dentist that I've ever had.

I had an amazing experience today with Dr Duffy and his team. By far the best dental experience I've had in my life. Dr Duffy was gentle with my teeth, explained everything so that I would understand, repeatedly asked if I was doing okay, and overall provided amazing bedside manner.

I highly recommend this office and Dr. Gunnell for your dental needs. I've struggled with bad teeth my whole life. That coupled with not taking the best care of my teeth in my early twenties lead me to needing a lot of dental work to be completed. Not once did their office make me feel shamed by the state of my teeth like other dental offices had done for me in the past. Instead Dr. Gunnell approached the problem with understanding and compassion. Their treatment plan was comprehensive, but fair and reasonable and considerate of my financial position. Also their dental assistants are awesome about making sure you are doing well and socializing with you when they have the opportunity to do so. Their front staff was also super helpful with my scheduling process. I couldn't ask for more in a dental office. Dr. Gunnell is awesome and he has a great team behind him as well!!
